Glen Beck is a paid talking head.
He's like an actor reading his lines. He receives a lot of money to say what he says. His responsibility is to his corporation.
He's not real. He's no more real than a character in a movie. Who knows what he really thinks? What did he think ten years ago when he had another gig?
Listen to those who speak out of conviction. Take those who are paid with caution. JMO

I wrote a Glenn a nice email about this today. I told him I understand why he can't say Ron Paul (he would lose the 2 million neocons who watch his show) but that as long as he is leading them, albeit slowly, towards liberty I won't complain.
Rotational amnesia Syndrome
Beck suffers a weekly occurrence of Rotational Amnesia Syndrome. It's only a semi-involuntary condition.
Symptoms include forgetting who's ass you kissed just a few days previous.
The result is having a different group drool over every word you say every seven days. It also results in last week's group getting up in arms for forgetting all about them.
A side effect is increased ratings.

Who cares?
To those are are bitter, why does this matter? Is really important if someone doesn't pick YOUR favorite candidate? He named Demint. He's cool isn't he?
We need to allow people some leeway. Everyone in the liberty movement doesn't have identical tastes as you. Beck owes no allegiance to Ron Paul to name him as his favorite politician. Everybody has their own tastes.

Your statement makes an assumption……That the person in question HAS a brain….Where is the MRI/CT or other documentation to back up your statement?
If you cannot PROVE your statement, then you should re-dact it, and plainly state that you cannot verify that a brain does exist inside this person?

A classical liberal is a libertarian.
Libertarians used to be called liberals, until FDR and some political philosophers changed the meaning of "liberal."
When the meaning changed, those who still held those beliefs had to come up with another term to describe themselves. They chose either "classical liberal" or "libertarian."

I can't figure out why people don't ~get it~.
I mean, I know why some don't.. they are dumb as a stump.
But for otherwise intelligent people to just draw a blank on this issue makes me worry about the future of our Republic.

then you must have proof of this "concept" with Glenn Beck. Do you?
Unlike some other Ron Paul supporters, it just doesn't bother me much that Beck didn't mention Ron Paul. I don't care. Beck is entitled to have his own favorite politicians as we are entitled to name Ron Paul as our favorite. Because someone has some different opinions than you, why does this have to bring these paranoid-seeming thoughts of "controlling/leading the opposition"? I don't know why we should think of someone who isn't lock step with Dr. Paul as some diabolical enemy. He named DeMint. He's a pretty good guy too. What's the problem?
