Jon Stewart confronts Neo-con O'Reilly about Ron Paul ridicule and censorship
http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/49758.html
Writes Blair MacGregor:
Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly taped a segment together for a three-part series.
At around 34 minutes in, Jon mentions the hypocrisy in Fox’s treatment of anti-war protesters and their glowing remarks re: the tea party protesters. Jon then segued into general neocon hypocrisy that we all know and love in regards to the deficits and then mentioned Ron Paul, asking why Fox didn’t treat him better when he was calling out W and Co. for their fiscal irresponsibility?
O’Reilly’s response? A half-hearted sideswipe and a desperate attempt to change the subject matter.
They know. It’s more obvious to me than ever before that there was a coordinated, deliberate effort by Fox News to pass Ron off as a kook, etc. You saw it in the ‘07-’08 debates, in news clips, opinion pieces, etc.

O’Reilly is a NeoCon
O’Reilly is a NeoCon douchebag!
"Human beings with love and compassion are some of the most beautiful creatures in the universe... Those without are a plague on us all."
"Mounds & Almond Joy" = Nuts
Thats ORielly's opinion of Paul...
Almond Joy has nuts
Mounds don't.
O'Reilly on Iraq "I said that
O'Reilly on Iraq "I said that was not a good thing to do from the get-go".
Oh PUH-LEASE. He was cheerleading that war like a pro.
Clueless...
It's the blind leading the blind here. Jon Stewart is just as clueless as O'Reily although he does it in a much more entertaining way. In the begining of the interview he suggested that Obama should ignore congress for gods sake. He criticizes Bush for doing one thing but then defends it later and advocates that Obama does it. I thought we were grown ups here. I loved Stewart when Bush was in office but can no longer watch due to his Obama worship. The best news to watch when a Republican is in office is CNN... when a democrat is in office it's FOX. It's the only time you really see any critical or investigative reporting. Jon Stewart really let me down when Obama came into office. I realize that Obama is more in line with his views and can respect that but even to a supporter there are many things to be critical of Obama on.
NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.
Jon Stewart rips on Obama too
for continueing Bush policies. Where did the Obama worship come in?
"We can't promote
Mounds and Almond Joy here."
clearly a biased swipe, no fair and balanced news here :P
The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!
For all those who haven't seen Bill O'Reilly's Producer

my favorite, "you Troglodyte Homunculus." :)
LOL - that is funny - thanks
.
FOX marginalized Ron Paul all through his campaign...
The perpetrators included; Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity, Rove, numerous bibmos and everyone else at FOX EXCEPT Judge Napolitano (who I would vote for in a heartbeat if he ran for president).
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
Paul would have won the Republican Nomination if
Fox was fair & balanced.
BTW Newscorp HQ in Manhattan, is in a Rockefeller build tower.
O'reily refered to Dr.Paul as a nut
"Almond Joy"
F News Corp/Fox News
Nuts are heavily subsidized -- Ron Paul is not!!

We should thank him for pointing out Fox's poor treatment of Ron Paul.
...
Also for
bringing their neocon attitude to the forefront. People need to hear that over and over. So many people are still stuck in neocon.
They remind me of the Republicans
Republicans are great at preaching for reigning things in when they aren't in power, but when they are they compound the problem.
Dem's are good at being anti-war, but when they are in power they expand it too.
So it is with Fox News. Just like the Republicans, they sound better now, but I don't trust them.
Exactly
Their purpose is to stay out in front of the masses, whatever direction that is and gain trust like Palin is doing. Then when election season comes, Fox tells the people who will uphold 'these' beliefs and the person they point to will just be another CFR, bloodline kind of candidate. Another insider. But the people will think she/he is the real deal because Fox has already said for years that they think the same way the herd of people does.
It's awesome to watch Corporatist Millionairs Debate Liberty

I hate Bill O'Rielly
so much. I would like to kick him in his ovaries. This is the dumbass that said " we don't need a history lesson, congressman" in 2007. He try's to brush him off with the peter paul comment. What a bitch. All I can say is his popularity comes from the same people who watch American Idol. Whoopdy doo.
" I would like to kick him in his ovaries. "
Now, now. Don't insult the women folk.
"All I can say is his popularity comes from the same people who watch American Idol. Whoopdy doo."
Yup.
Jon Stewart is hilarious!
Jon Stewart is hilarious! That was a great episode. Jon owned Bill.
Watch the last minute of the show.
"Bill, you live in a castle!"
I watched the 3 part segment on YouTube
and didn't see any mention of Ron Paul. Did they cut it?
If they did it wouldn't
If they did it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Just like how they cut out at least one segment of Ron Paul's response (that he received a great ovation by the audience) during the reairing of the debate in Feb '08. I watched both the live debate on Fox News and then was listening to the reairing of the debate again (while using the computer) approx an hour later. I have Tivo, so I went checked the reairing to my copy of the debate and sure enough they had cut to commercial and after returning had skipped right over a significant response by RP.
When I saw that with my own eyes I was done with Fox. I used to watch them all the time, for around 8 years or so, and rarely ever watch anymore.
...
I still have all fox channels
I still have all fox channels blocked on my t.v.
Noone told me the boycott had been called off!!!
And if I had recieved such a message, I would not have followed it because of the 08 election and thier handleing of the debates.
oreilly pisses me off
oreilly pisses me off
Ironically...
Ironically, it was Fox's censorship that woke me up.
The O'Reillys, Hannitys and Luntzs of the world are on the wrong side of history.
Holy Cow
I can't believe I just watched that pompous and evasive buffoon O'Reilly browbeat Stewart and make snide and condescending remarks for over 30 minutes, just to hear him diss Ron Paul like that. And this guy is popular in America? Man, I'm glad I left.
What a total coward O'Reilly is; he
ducked Stewart's question about RP with the squid ink answer he gets paid to perform.
That was awful
Talk about a whole bunch of false choices.
