Lisa, I totally support your idea
to create large public "tea party" events, which have major "wedge issues" attached to them.
That was a BRILLIANT idea, and that needs to swing into action.
We must "FRAME THE DEBATE" to our advantage.
If there are "tea party" events which showcase OUR issues, such as End the War NOW, End the FED, End the IRS, Freedom for ALL, Limited de-centralized powers, etc...
then the neocons will be forced into positions to either publicly get on the record promoting OUR issues, OR they will be exposed as the imposters that they are when they don't.
This can be a very powerful tool, because it can put a very bright light on their infiltration tactics. Then, they will have to support OUR issues, or be exposed.
And infiltrators can't stand to be exposed.
IF they once get on the public record that they endorse ending the war now, and ending the FED, and our other big issues, then WE HAVE FRAMED THE DEBATE, AND WE WIN.
If we fail to frame the debate, and let them frame the debate, we LOSE.
The C4L seems to be pushing the opposite, calling it "strategy", by appearing to be cozying up to some neocon policies, in order for "us to be more compatible" with neocon thinking, to gain wider voting bases. I think this is a major strategy mistake of biblical proportions.
We can swing those voting bases over to us, by forcing their neocon leaders to knuckle-under to our demands, or be exposed as imposters.
I think this is a "key" that can unlock the door to where we want to go. We have to take our positions as the driving force behind this movement, and leverage it to our advantage.
Once the minions see Palin, et al, going on record to "end the war", then they will swing with it to.
If Palin, et al, don't attend these events, and don't endorse the REAL tea-party policies, then they are exposed, and they won't win the elections. They NEED the "tea-partiers" to win, and they know it. They can't win as neocon Republicans. They KNOW it.
FORCE the issue. MAKE them knuckle-under or be exposed.
This is a strategy that can work.
I think you had the best idea that I've heard yet, for keeping control of the movement in the light of the recent developments.
Nothing will "out an infiltrator" like a wedge-issue will.
They have to go one way or the other, and that will give us what we want, either way.
High Jack
They have done a superb job..
without a viable third we have had it.
It's called circle your wagons.
Sarah Palin is bought and
Sarah Palin is bought and sold. It is transparently clear that her job is to unite the GOP with Tea Party rhetoric. She is a true GOP warmonger and will support fellow war supporters, ie Brown, Perry, McCain. It's easy to denounce fiscal policies and the economy. Everyone can agree that the system is a failed and broken one. The real question seems to be the progress and expansion of Homeland Security, Expansion of US/UN Military control. Ron Paul and his real supporters would never support this and for this reason will again be ignored to lead this country even though it is his policies enacted with his integrity that are the only way out of this global quagmire. Palin's down home, flagwaving, apple pie style is just too too insulting for most "people" who can think and reason for themselves.
wow ! Doesnt anyone wanna know about the latest
On Debra Medina ,I guess I could go post on it on Ron Paul warroom
Who cares about her
Ive the very latest breaking news on Debra Medina !
She is shamelessly running for President
I thought she was there to support other candidates, actually Rand Paul. I have not heard Rand mentioned, but every time I turn on the radio or tv, I hear that Sarah Palin has lent her star power to a Tea Party. The the crowd was captivated while she spewed 'our rhetoric.'
she looks like Kay B
she looks like Kay B Hutchison, don't ya think?
I'm on part 2

She just is blowing steam up our asses.
Sarah Palin and the tea party movement are just more of this bull crap idea that government can be controlled and that all we need is good people to occupy the seats of power.
And to boot, she is not even a good person. She is at best a neocon, and at worst a philosophical dimwit with no understanding of anything but the quest for power.
If this is the political solution to reign in the totalitarian state, then we are in for a never ending nightmare.
Ultimately, the outcome will be violence, and this cannot be successful until we enter an almost total economic collapse stemming from the combined effect of fraudulent monetary system and the shortage of energy. When the electric grid fails under the weight of these two disasters, the people and the government will be on more equal terms in the ensuing battle for freedom. Without power (and I mean the power produced by energy) a centralized government the size of the federal government cannot be sustained, and the suffering citizens seeking its end will swell to an presently unimagined magnitude.
I think the federal government is in its last decade or two of existence.

Oooh...
I could not make it to the pot.
Sarah Palin is no
Sarah Palin is no statesperson. She is just another run of the mill politician.
Some people in the Tea Party Movement think they are so enlightened, yet they can still be easily fooled by a politician telling them exactly what they want to hear.
They need to do their due diligence on Palin, before they wrap themselves in her rhetoric. They may be surprised to find out that she's like so many other politicians who talk a good game but turn out to be just the opposite when elected.
They also need to do their due diligence on the people in the movement who invited her to speak and pay her $100,000.00. Why didn't they ask Ron Paul instead?
At the moment the only true Statesmen in Washington is Ron Paul. Too bad he can't be cloned.
Plain and simple: Palin is a
Plain and simple: Palin is a Neocon, and the Neocons are trying to hijack our movement!
I always marvel at the Neocon war/fiscal responsibility hypocrisy.
What did Palin's speech have to do with eliminating the federal reserve, eliminating the income tax, or regaining fiscal responsibility? Nothing.
Standing ovation when she went on her NEO-CON RANT.
This is NOT the Tea Party of the Ron Paul movement.
It's just typical republican neo-con rhetoric.
And she is NOT a good speaker. If anyone neets a teleprompter it is her.
At one point she said "Alaska" when she meant "America."
I was very disapointed with her speech but then I should have known better than to expect anything more in the first place.
Where was her support for Rand Paul??? Not a word about it.
Really embarrasing all around. It was hard to watch.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
I also found it funny....
That she mentioned Obama relying on a teleprompter, while she read the comment from the writen "type-o-prompter" she was scanning there in front of her on the podium! I laughed out loud!
"Liberty tastes sweetest to those who fight for it, and most bitter to those who work to deny it!"

TOTAL
NEO CON FEST ! Some body stop her. She is the WORST influence possible for the already confused Tea Partiers.
This ball is in Rand Paul's court
While accepting her endorsement he must always raise the issue of non-intervention. So far, by not doing so he is enabling Palin and neo-conservative imperialism.
Sarah Palin's Multiple Political Personality
Unfortunately, Sarah is a Multiple Political Personality who has demonstrated her dissociation in supporting Rick Perry, then supporting Rand Paul, and then excoriating Perry for his advisor's use of the term "retarded," which she said reflected on the dignity of special needs children. This splitting is also evident in her demeanor in coming on stage at the Tea Party Convention. She looked and sounded like a beauty pageant winner greeting her admirers the morning after the contest. Then, she shifts into being the subtly patronizing former Governor. Her fragmented political persona only adds to the "Great Partisan Divide" discussed in the following blog about Debra Medina.

Sadly the only lesson the GOP has learned from Obama...
Is that they believe that he should be replaced with a GOP version of himself, named Sarah Palin.
Identity politics, personality cults, and talking points; to shield America from the the fact that they are being led down the SAME Neo CON statist path."Big government" Democrats should be replaced with "bigger government" Republicans. WHAT!?!
And the American people go on, unrepresented and ignored by Washington DC. Forgive me, while I step away from the monitor to vomit. "Hey, anybody got a bucket, mine over here seems to be... FULL!!!"
Yeah, I know the barf was all over my screen when I got here
Bad stomach day, it seems.
From what I understand
She was paid 100K to speak.
It just boggles the mind.
"We're told the audience paid $500 each to hear Sarah Palin..."
Inexcusable. Indefensible.
