What Are YOU Doing To Restore Our Constitution?
I posted this because I just have to say I am incredulous with so many hear at Daily Paul.
I am left thinking to what end are those of us here dreaming of by just talking the talk without walking the walk.
What do you think will be the result of this?
Oh sure, this site was set up in support of Dr.Paul which I am one, yet, when something else comes up that isn't 'connected' directly to Dr.Paul, I can't help but notice people ignore it without thinking.
Yet these very people in many cases will be those who criticize the Tea Partiers for their lack of principle and their 'war' stand.
A lot of people don't realize that Dr.Paul does support this effort to restore our Constitution via the Continental Congress 2009.
He spoke to Bob Schulz the week before the CC2009.
Dr. Paul in his usual, correct way, has indicated once millions of citizens sign the pledge, he too will then take it on.
But it has to come from the people! It appears this is quite a daunting challenge for those who consider themselves 'patriots'.
I am talking about the Articles of Freedom. This is something no one can 'co-opt' because it is what it is.
Is this too daunting for even those who say they uphold the Constitution, yet when it comes to 'defending' it, its asking too much? We already see that elected officials, despite taking the oath to defend, don't defend either.
Then how are you being a patriot I may well ask?
I simply want a 'real' reasoned answer as to why people who support Dr.Paul and his platform are not more pro-active in supporting our Constitution via the Articles of Freedom which is a very real action by the citizens to ensure accountability from our elected officials.
I realize that Bob Schulz has rubbed people the wrong way, but isn't this forgivable considering this is so much bigger than you or I? Have you even read the Articles of Freedom? It addresses each and every possible angle and issue we have with our out of control government!
Xntryk1 just posted something about this phenomena regarding 'emotional attachments' to issues rather than reason.
Is that what's going on with this issue?
As far as I am concerned, talk is very cheap. Its action that speaks louder than words can ever do. We have already proven that many times before the Articles of Freedom existed.
Now that it does exist, what are YOU going to do about it?

They formed a Republic SEPERATE from the Roman Empire, and they were not Citizens of that Empire, they were not under the jurisdiction of that Empire. They kept themselves unspotted by that empire by not taking Oaths, nor benefits. By completely EXCLUDING themselves from any participation in that Empire. They did not participate, they did not consent.
The articles of freedom do not address the MOST important issue. The issue of consent to be governed by this Empire. It has been brought before BS many times before this CC2009 ever started. He refuses to listen to it. It must therefore be considered that he does not want to hear the solution, for if he hears it, it puts an end to his money machine and his "followers". He would then have virtually nothing to sell, nothing that people would want to buy. People are anxouis to buy his "have your cake and eat it too" tax schemes, but not so interested in a "live completely without government" scheme that is the solution to ALL his grievances. BS has rejected those who have tried to share knowledge of Law with him. As such, he has no remedy that is known to him. Nor does he share any remedy with those who follow him. His "Articles" are faulted in so many places because he fails to understand the very basics of LAW, the real biggy being the Law of Consent, or covenants.

Withdraw consent. It really is the key, and it can be done by ech of us as we come to understand. We will only be able to withdraw form the matrix bit by bit, and probably very few of us will be able to get entirely free of their web, but understanding that the governments get their power from our CONSENT is the beginning of liberating yourself.

Not an auspicious opening, but I will overlook that. This is often done in ignorance, although it seems like folks would begin to catch on...
Next up, a table of contents full of "remedial instructions" to the criminals that overthrew our government. That ought to go far... but I guess we can ask again to please stop enslaving us. Maybe this time it will work.
Oooh, now I find the entire chapter explaining that maintaining these principles requires "firm reliance on Divine Providence." I guess I am out. I have no such "firm reliance" and frankly, think it is mumbo jumbo to say such things. We need to rely on each other, on our own ability to discern right from wrong. We need to stop "praying" and talk to each other. If there is "Divine Providence" it requires nothing from me now, does it? Humanity is better served if we have a healthy suspicion that there is no divine providence, and we need to work this stuff out ourselves. Then if there IS a divine prividence, think how pleased it will be that we did such a good job without it... rather than have to come bail our sorry asses out?
This is not a project I can support any more. I wish they had not turned this into a big spell casting session, but they did. I just don't play that game.
And for "the Constitution" I am ever striving to be more self sufficient and stop circulating FRNs. It is what I can do, every day, and it would fix this whole mess without praying to Ammon or begging the Rothschilds' minions to be nice to me.

Thomas Paine was an atheist and he didn't whine and cry about being surrounded by bible thumpers and take his toys and go home. He wrote "Common Sense" and took part in the Revolution and in the machinations of the Founding despite not sharing worldviews with the majority of his fellow patriots.
Atheists are less than 10% of Americans. The modern patriot and Constitutionalist movement from 1900 to the late 1990's was dominated by christians. The literature and media on the subject during that time period came overwhelmingly from christian groups and sources.
The terms "Creator", "Nature's God" and "Divine Providence" are Enlightenment terms created to appease both the theist and the a-theist in reference to the concept of natural rights. Did someone try to force you to pray? Have you heard of any christians in the Liberty Movement trying to force atheists to pray?
If the primary or only reason you are shunning association with the Articles of Freedom group is that some of them choose to pray at times, or that they had some Enlightenment references to creator/nature inserted in some text then I think you are just being petty and intolerant and willing to be so to the point of weakening unity in the movement.
It's obvious you look down on others as inferior who don't share your beliefs the same way some religious people look down on others for not sharing their beliefs. I'm stuck in the middle and see good and bad from both groups.
I see in history where, at times, religious groups persecute and restrict the freedoms of people. Then I see America where a predominantly christian nation laid firm foundations for freedom of expression and religion (and non-religion) on a greater scale than perhaps any nation ever.
I read Freedom and Liberty writings from atheists and I am impressed and in agreement. Then I look at the Reign of Terror in France driven by anti-religion. And then I look at the self-proclaimed atheist countries of the Soviet Union and China and see how they brutally oppressed every manner of cultural and sexual expression.
I see no moral superiority or difference from either side. At less than 10% of the population atheists are not going to win the battle for liberty and restoring the Constitution on their own. Paine and Franklin didn't get all pouty and pack up and leave because they were surrounded by religious people.
If Liberty and the Constitution are reinstated in America there will be quite a few christians joining in the battle. And many of them will be doing annoying things like praying and expounding how "god" is the source and foundation for natural rights and freedoms. Just like in 1776.
Freedom necessarily means lots of people will openly do and say things you don't find appealing. Get over it. I have. Unity is more important.

I hope you are emotionally prepared for this to fail, and looking for other ways to carry on the fight. I am not saying you ought to stop fighting, but any solution that begins with "If we all" is not a solution. Solutions begin with "I will..."
I will permaculture my yard this year. Now, if I am the only one who does so, I have still succeeded. If my neighbor does it too, he has succeeded, and while I might get an ego boost out of thinking I influenced him, his actions do not make or break my success either way.

The Founding Fathers....
The Founding Fathers made many coordinated efforts over many years prior to the Declaration of Independence that "failed". But they didn't really fail. Those early "failures" were merely the foundation for the success that was to come.
The "failed" efforts drew the lines in the sand. They communicated intentions. They prepared the way.

I love some of MLK's writings because he was so 'in love' with his desire for what freedom meant to him and his people. Here is something he wrote that is intriguing to me because the outcome of what he and his people faced were so daunting.
At the time of his writing this, their actions could have brought on even more repression or it could come out the other end - greater freedom for all. They had to TRY and see what could come of it.
I can't help but see the parallels between what MLK was talking about and the possibilities for the Articles of Freedom:
"I have no fear about the outcome of our struggle in Birmingham, even if our motives are at present misunderstood. We will reach the goal of freedom in Birmingham, and all over the nation, because the goal of America is freedom".
On the other hand, paul4won, I understand that others may not see this the way I do.
Its OK if this document and the putting elected officials 'on notice', does not feed the hunger and longing that so many suffer from or dream about. Digestive pollution being what it is. There are other possibilities and probabilities swirling around the aethers too. But for the life of me when I look at all other possibilities as viable ways to restore the Rule of Law, most others lack the grounding that the AoF provides.
However, in time it may prove to be just the right vehicle when we need it most - as long as people know it exists that is.
That is what I am trying to do here give it as much exposure as possible whether people agree with it or disagree.
I believe in providing as much freedom of choice as possible. I trust in the American people and their imagination. I know most are loving and caring people.

I don't know. I keep looking at the sand in the hour glass and its getting pretty empty.
I wonder if those 15 million Americans will sign and pledge before its too late.
Well, its been a week and only 3,000 have pledged so far.
Lets see. I will do a calculation based on this weeks' progress and project it into the future to see just how long it will take to get those 15 millions in order that we have 'critical mass'. Give me a minute. There. I got all my calculators and computers hooked up now.
At this rate, according to my calculations, it should take approximately 5,000 weeks OR 96.153 years to reach 15 million! Well, I guess that's not too bad. It could be worse. It could be 5,000 years, but its not.
(I can almost hear Dr. Paul's cute little chuckle there)

I met Michael briefly at our MNLG picnic when he came to Minnesota just in time to meet Dr. Paul for the Rally for the Republic.
That beautiful, sunny, morning a wonderful group of people walked with Dr.Paul and Michael Maresco to the Federal Reserve building in Minneapolis. I remember my heart sank when I was unable to attend that morning. There was so much happening that weekend of the Rally.
When I think back to that timing I get teary when I remember all the love for country and humanity that got generated that weekend. All those beautiful people coming from all over the States and even from foreign countries. What an amazing time.

These and so many of the amazing videos that came from the hearts and 'true' journalists in this movement, ought to have been compiled for all of us, instead of what is on that DVD called, 'Rally For The Republic' that C4L is selling.
I got a copy of it for $20 last year and in my opinion it does not capture at all the true spirit that is this Liberty movement. I was left crestfallen over that.
