Going LIBERTARIAN...
There is no way the Republican Liberty Caucus and Campaign for Liberty is going to change or eventually control the Republican Party of CFR-puppets and Zionist plants in this nation!!!
I agree, this whole Neo-Con thing is indeed collapsing all around them simply because, as Thomas Sowell has written in his book "Intellectuals and Society" - MOST of the knowledge in this country is in the possession of the 99% of the citizens who do not hold public office...
Since the public office holders only operate in exclusive circles, because they like to listen to themselves postulate about their "superior knowledge" back and forth to ONLY each other; they will continue to cave to the majority opinion of ONLY themselves in terms of developing public policy that keeps the peasants completely out of the castle...what they don't realize is that not only do we have the KNOWLEDGE, but we also have the NUMBERS...and when "The People" rise up as ONE and challenge power, the kings and potentates RUN...they don't fight!
We've all grown sick of the game...from the paradigm TRAP of the two-party system, to the Ecclesiastical Tyranny that keeps Americans more focused on materialism, and not what is right in the Creator's eyes; which is that we should ALL have OUR LIBERTY.
In volume ONE of my ORIGINAL 1828 book "Political and Civil History of the United States from 1763 to the Close of Washington's Administration" by Timothy Pitkin of Connecticut, it reads that the colonists did not FEAR poverty...but rather they were resolute in their REFUSAL to submit to slavery...we may be down, and we may be brought down even further(our standard of living); but we're not out!!!
It has been a HARD JOURNEY coming out of the LIES & HYPOCRISY that characterize the traditional Judeo-Christian, Die-Hard Conservative Republican culture I was raised in; believe me, I tried desperately to hold onto it...was willing to die on that hill...but everywhere I turned, knowledge was rejected; and party over principle was preferred - and in that venue, hypocrisy is the norm!
Now I have learned to be CONTENT with the little that I do have, and I have forsaken the vices common to man and I have finally taken up some READING as a hobby! As Jonathon Swift wrote(and Noah Webster repeated), "the latter part of a WISE MAN's life are spent curing the follies, prejudices, and false opinions he contracted in the former" - that's ME!!!
Now, to see today's politics, and today's churches for what they are(full of hypocrisy and corruption), and compare it AGAINST our nation's founding history for what it really is...I realize our founders were EVER SO WISE to ensure that we would ALWAYS emphasize that we have access to read and SPEAK FREELY about ALL AVAILABLE KNOWLEDGE of ALL SUBJECTS in order that we would guard against usurpers taking over our political system...they were all WELL READ!
Reading is FUNDAMENTAL; KNOWLEDGE is POWER...and the only people exemplifying these principles are us!; the proponents of LIBERTY!
The government run schools may have totally & deliberately dropped the ball on this; but the citizens of this country have not...and most of us have gained more knowledge out of school, than in school because they have failed us - which is a testimony to how RIGHT our founders were in instructing ALL Americans to GET KNOWLEDGE!
Civil War will break out when the government RESTRICTS access to knowledge...we best not let that happen! Indoctrination only succeeds because the individual remains within the imaginary boundaries set up for them!(cradle to grave government-fed education & left/right paradigm media propaganda & and IRS controlled pulpits in our houses of worship).
I am quickly becoming a Libertarian; because it is the BEST option that separates me from the wholly corrupted Judeo-Christian, Republican/Democrat two-headed ONE Party monster and all their K-Street PAC's that do nothing but draw money from unsuspecting Party loyalists and use it to pit one group of Americans against another...the right-wing splinter groups & political parties are just a gathering place for fundamentalist Republicans(troublemakers) loyal to the Judeo-Christian ethics of the Republican Party platform who do in fact advocate a theocracy, and know nothing of personal Liberty because they endorse the regulation and CONTROL of moral behaviors in the name of "values"...
The ONLY virtue that America should laud is treat your neighbor as you would like yourself to be treated with respect to their LIVES, their LIBERTY, and their PROPERTY; even atheists can do that!
We have the knowledge, and we have the NUMBERS; all we have to do stop FEARING that their "machine" is too big and too powerful to conquer; the founders were out-gunned, out-manned, and out-financed...yet LIBERTY WON, because the Divine is the author of LIBERTY!
He will help us to, if we become determined NOT to allow corruption to REIGN anymore!

This is your opinion.
The RLC is worthless anyway.
Your opinion is that the GOP cannot be saved. Your opinion is contrarty to Dr. Paul's.
Nothing personal, but I'm going with Dr. Paul and his Campaign for Liberty on this one.
Funny how you deride Judeo-Christianity when it was Jesus
who postulated the "golden rule" you spout. If you are equating Christianity with the Republican Party, you are one mixed up individual.
If anything, Jesus was the first (western) libertarian.
Eastern philosophy is likely the origin of libertarian thought, at least with respect to every day life, and it is obvious that much of Jesus' teachings are heavily rooted in eastern thought.
I would say the Tao Te Ching is about as Libertarian as you could get with respect to a "religious" or "how to live life" text as you could get. Putting that side by side with Jesus' parables and attributed quotes, they are nearly identical. And the basic premise? Treat others as you would be treated. That means live your own life, and stop trying to control everything, because you CAN'T. (and you will only leave heart ache and destruction in your path)
The Republicans...
...via their conservative media outlets are claiming the Judeo-Christian ethic defines THEM; yet they are hypocrites to that faith...through their war-mongering against Muslims, and their nanny-state welfare/economic policies that exploit the poor for political gain.
The Golden Rule is an ever-present, common moral code of conduct that endures in religious and non-religious circles ALL over the planet(except in the relationship of government and how they treat their subjects ironically);
I have wasted many years of my life brainwashed thinking that the faith I heaped to myself had EXCLUSIVITY on the Golden Rule; until I met a great many other Liberty-minded individuals who properly chided me for my religious arrogance!

What ESSENTIAL purpose does a political party serve in the 2010s, that cannot be done using individual action and technology today? Ballot access perhaps. Fundraising, no. Publicity/Awareness, no. Getting into debates, maybe. Direct mail is dead except for seniors. Phone banks, same.
We're going to look back at the 2010s as the decade all of the old mechanisms became dramatically less important. Ron puts very little emphasis on party. That used to be because of principle only, now it's also practicality.

The Bob Barr Fiasco Was A Serious Setback
I think the LP would have been poised to gain some adherents had they run a credible campaign in 2008. It will take time to recover, if they ever do.

"Running" Campaigns
The LP does not "run" campaigns like the dominant parties do. "They" don't pick out incumbent governors or senators and ask them to run for president. "They" are all volunteers and the candidates are all volunteers, none of whom are paid. (I think the paid national office staff is fewer than half a dozen workers, but they're not officers and don't make decisions of this kind.) There aren't buckets of money to support them, either.
It is a major sacrifice to run for office at any level. Bob Barr was one of a dozen or so who threw a hat into the ring, and he was grilled, in person, by delegates at the convention, and only got the nomination on the fourth or fifth ballot (I was there--it was exciting and suspenseful, not a coronation).
I invite anyone who wants to join the LP to do so and discover how seriously the members and delegates defend freedom. We welcome new blood (even if only as someone new to argue with) and it is unlikely you'll have the kind of roadblocks the dominant parties use to keep people from becoming delegates. (Many of our delegates don't decide who we're supporting until the convention.)
Just don't expect anything to be well "run."

You're misstating the sense
You're misstating the sense of my use of the word "run."
I am quite familiar with the LP; I left them decades ago. The fact that someone like Barr could be their candidate is part of the problem. If you're saying the LP could be made into something different than it is now and be successful, I won't argue. But it's got a long way to go, and it didn't help that at a time of a burgeoning interest in libertarian principles in 2008 it fumbled the ball. Best of luck building on the ashes.

I prefer the Constitution Party.
I voted for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party for President in 2008, and I would do so again.
I'd pick the Constitution
I'd pick the Constitution Party over the libertarian party too, one big reason is I agree with Ron Paul's position of striving for secure borders borders ports and coastlines, enforcing current immigration laws and not giving citizenship(no amnesty)to illegal aliens. The libertarian party does not agree with Ron Paul in this area and many libertarians have attacked Ron Paul for his principled stance on this. The Constitution party believes Ron Paul is right on this issue. That's not to say I agree with the Constitution party on all other issues, because I don't, but they are closer to where I'm at politically than the libertarian party is.
Ron Paul showed us the way.
Ron Paul showed us the way. Stick with it!

Compare the platforms
I am much more aligned with the Libertarian platform than the GOP one. If people would embrace it, I would have hope for a political resolution again. As it stands, I do not see any relief from tyranny coming from a stuffed ballot box.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
And the REPUBLICANS are desperate...
They are going to separate & marginalize the Jeffersonian Libertarians in the Tea Party Movement, and consume and USE the conservatives with bread and circuses to get their RINO's elected...and then dump 'em...
The Tea Party is INDEPENDENT of the traditional two-party system that has RUINED this nation...period!
We have to get BIGGER crowds this year, and TRASH RINO's, and RINO puppets(Republican Party loyalists); not so much Obama/Pelosi/Reid public policy....
Ron Paul did show us the way...the way HE GOT ELECTED by using the Republican Party as a TOOL to get his Libertarian ideas into the House Chamber; but I don't think the Republican Party CONTROLLERS at the top are going to let that happen again!!!
