US conservative darling Sarah Palin says she thinks President Barack Obama should declare war on Iran.
The one-time Republican vice presidential candidate said in an interview with Fox News that Obama should play the war card if he wants to get re-elected in 2012.
"Say he decided to declare war on Iran or decided really to come out and do whatever he could to support Israel, which I would like him to do," she said on Sunday.
The military attack "changes the dynamics in what we can assume is going to happen between now and three years," Palin added.
The former Alaskan governor also noted that she does not think the US president would be re-elected if he ran today.
She made the remarks as the US and its allies have been flexing their muscles to impose a new round of sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program.

I posted this on another thread on the same topic. I just want to say that I have read posts of both you and legalize before and have agreed with them on almost every occasion. I even followed legalize after the protesting incident. Much respect to both of you. But...
First of all, she linked her two statements with OR... a compound sentence. Or is a word that necessitates something different which means she was not hoping for war with Iran but talking about Obama supporting Israel. Example: "Would you like ham OR sausage, which I would recommend." The sausage is obviously being recommended by the waitress. Backing up this further is her use of the word "decided" twice which would suggest two seperate decisions.
Now I am no Sarah Palin fan. I think she made horrible decisions as governor and would continue that trend in any public office. However, we're doing the same thing to her as the mainstream media did with Ron Paul... twisting her words. Throwing out the old straw man tactic. If she supported war with Iran she'd probably put it on her website. Many others have done much worse and are not being added to our citizens arrest thread. Why would they? We'd just like to highlight the one that might introduce many Americans to the idea of liberty through events with educated, liberty minded people like Dr. Paul.
We need to be thinkers and go beyond all of the petty squabbling if we're going to get anywhere. We have to be better than them.

This "misunderstanding" that Palin
is operating under, as well as numerous large church organizations, is a common falsehood, which pervades the thoughts of quite a significant group of "Christians".
The misunderstanding is that they think that modern day Jews have some kind of lineage to the ancient Israelites, which according to the Jewish Almanac and other Jewish scholars, is NOT true(by and large).
However, they think because the ancient Israelites were "God's chosen people", and that ancient Israelites and "Jews" have been so commonly misconstrued to be one-in-the-same, that confusion arises, and creates exactly what was intended to happen.
People get the wrong idea, and are then used to move an agenda.
Okay, quick tutorial.
This can be used when trying to relate the truth to a Christian who is duped. It's a Biblically-based and historically-based proof.
First, who were the Israelites?
They were sons of Jacob, who was a son of Abraham the Patriarch. Abraham was in the line of Shem. All Israelites were in the line of Shem.
That's why they call them "Semitic" because that's derived from "Shemitic", or "of Shem"
If you aren't in the line of Shem, you aren't connected to the tribes of Israel. Period.
Now, you can look up the 1980 Jewish Almanac, and probably other sources, and find that over 92% of all modern Jews are called "Ashkenazi". The other 8% could be anything. Converts, or whatever. And there MAY actually be some Jews who are Semitic, but in the overwhelmingly vast minority today.
Now, if you look in the Bible for Ashkenaz(Ashkenazi means "of Ashkenaz"), it will tell you that he's in the line of Japheth. Japeth was another son of Noah, but he's not Shem. Anybody in the line of Japheth or his progeny like Ashkenaz is NOT Semitic, nor can they have any claim to the Covenants of the Tribes of Israel, and are not related to Israelites, and can make NO CLAIM to the land of the Israelites. Therefore they are occupying that modern day land of "Israel" under a false premise.
So, you can take this info to your local deceived Christian, and show him in his Bible that modern Jews are by VAST VAST majority not related to Israelites, nor are they even Semitic, nor do they have any claim to the land there, and everything they've been told is a clear and provable deception. And you can use his very own Bible to prove it to him. Along with the written words of modern Jewish scholars today, and it's written in black and white.
So, now we've established that modern Jews(by well-over 92% majority) are NOT connected to the Israelites, and NOT EVEN SEMITIC. However, they do like to yell alot about "anti-semitism", which doesn't even apply to them. But it does apply to their "cover story".
So, they ain't "God's chosen people", they ain't Israelites, and they ain't Semitic.
It's a deception, that's been foisted on us for more than 100 years now, and a huge industry built on the lie. Countries manipulated under the lie. Borders re-drawn under the lie. Wars fought because of the lie. American polices and aggression made under the lie.
Etc.
