How Ron Paul won the election

Once upon a time in America there was a man named Ron Paul. He was a learned man, a medical doctor, who was well versed in economics, law and foreign policy. He had a high regard for the constitution. In his view, it was not some sentimental, historical document composed by eighteen century dandies in powdered wigs. It was a contract between the people and the government, written by men who understood the dangers of tyranny. It was in his view a timeless document designed to protect the people from the excesses of government in any age.

He could see that the government was continually overstepping its constitutional bounds and, as a consequence, the people were losing their liberties at every turn.

Ron Paul decided to run for office as a Republican. He knew that he might stand alone, like a voice in the wilderness, calling for a return to limited, constitutional government. Yet, he recognized that the time was critical and that if no one took up the challenge, we might all lose the liberties and rights we take for granted.

The Republican party did not want him in their midst. He was a threat to the status quo. They preferred a more "realistic" and "pragmatic" candidate who "understood" that times had changed and that we should "adapt" our thinking to the "modern" era. In their view, a real politician should be able to negotiate and compromise and be sophisticated enough to work with big business and lobby groups.

Despite Rupublican opposition, his campaign grew in popularity. Even those who did not agree with everything he said recognized that this was a man who spoke plainly and directly, and in short, they trusted him.

The party leaders saw the threat and moved into action. The coffers were opened, and no expense was spared in supporting his Rupublican opponents. The unfairness and bias was not missed by Ron Paul's supporters who were growing daily. In fact, these attacks only strengthened their resolve to work harder for the one candidate who didn't check the political climate before answering a question.

To the shock and consternation of the Republican bosses, Ron Paul defeated his opponents and seized the Republican nomination. Then, He prepared himself for the next round when he would go directly against the candidate in the Democratic Party. There should have been funds available from the Republican Party to support Paul's campaign, but all the money had been spent trying to defeat him! And so it was up to his followers to raise additional money to continue the campaign. The message of liberty and limited government took Ron Paul to victory. Despite the odds, he defeated all opponents, both Republican and Democratic.

Do you think this story cannot come true? Is it so far fetched that we shouldn't bother to strive for it?

IT ALREADY HAS HAPPENED!

This is the story of how Ron Paul was first elected to Congress. Since then, He has been in the congress for twenty years and his stance has never changed.

He can do this AGAIN, and the time has never been more critical. Just as before, he needs the support of the people. If you share this vision, then you must register as a Republican and vote in the primaries for your state. Many traditional Republicans will vote in the election, BUT NOT IN THE PRIMARIES. This is our opportunity to take the primaries by storm. If 100% of Ron Paul supporters vote in the primaries, we can, once again, ambush the Republican establishment and propel Ron Paul to the nomination. We must do this; the future of our country is at stake.

PS If you agree with this message, pass it on to everyone on your list
