RT: Bin Laden back on air, but are people scared?
Submitted by meekandmild on Mon, 02/08/2010 - 15:36
Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is back on the airwaves with new threats and warnings, but is he striking fear into the hearts of the public?
Web journalist Lori The Resident Harfenist took to the streets of New York to see what people there think.

octobox
I think that octobox has made several great points and it does seem reasonable that more people would have known than Bhutto. Even if the Bhutto case turns out to be a simple misspeaking, that doesn't disprove that osama bin laden could have died. I think that there are still more important reasons to believe he is probably dead, and some of you comment-leavers are focusing too much emotional stress over minor points when it sounds like you and octobox agree with the larger question.

That's quite a feat considering he's (Osama Bin Laden).....
been dead since 2001.
The new Bin Laden recording is unconfirmed.
Which means it's probably fake.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Were any
of the bin Laden recordings confirmed? I think they're all fake.
Yes, the old ones were actual video recordings of him.
However since then, there has been a fake video with a look alike and several fake audio recordings. This latest one is probably fake too; Bin Laden would never take credit for such a pitiful attempt as the underwear bomber.
But the mainstream media, and government are getting desperate. Look at how sloppy they are getting now:
"CNN could not independently confirm the authenticity of the message, but the CIA has in the past confirmed Al-Jazeera reports on tapes from the al Qaeda leader." - CNN
http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/01/24/bin.laden.terror.tape/index...
So, in the same sentence CNN says they can't confirm the message, CNN then tries to imply that it may be authentic simply because the CIA has confirmed messages in the past.
LOL
That's really very desperate.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
The Bhutto / Osama is Dead has been debunked
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IIn_UnLO9I&feature=video_res...
Although -- I "heard" that Chenney once said that bin Laden is dead, but died back in 2004 of cancer or kidney failure (something).
Can anyone confirm that?
My point is we will look like idiots if we pass along conspiracy theories without deeply vetting them out.
Vette - Vette - Vette
*&^ Constitution --- Constitutional Rationality
A good conspiracy theory is......
"one that cannot be proven". Mel Gibson from the movie "Conspiracy Theory"
Sable: I guess some would argue
there is a difference between a conspiracy theory and a conspiracy.
My argument (ultimately) is freedom cannot be won by War (because in the aftermath of victory we put military leaders in charge and their organization is collectivist and hierarchical); freedom cannot be won by Conspiracy (because the "powerful" gained their position by consumer-abdication and not by false-flags); and freedom cannot be won by voting or lobbying (all of human history shows that "asking" or "bribing" to gain liberty is futile).
The only ever large country to obtain independence was India -- by means of non-violence and non-participation and counter-economics.
We need to dream up a modern day version of that.
*&^ Constitution --- Constitutional Rationality
NO, it hasn't been debunked!
...what you should do is vette your own statements before putting them out there
you are deliberately misleading people here at this site and I am going to call you on your BS
you are part of what few problems we have here octogerm...
you infect this site with you subtle neocon passages and few too few times people call you on your untruths
rather than publicly call you a liar I will just say that you are misleading people but if you persist I will call you out with much stronger language
Bin Laden is dead!
he's been dead a long, long time...and your continuing to point to the "boogie man" that is the spirit of bin laden only takes away from the truth of who the real enemy of our freedom is...but, of course, you know that and that is your intention
who is the enemy of the people, you will ask...why, the one who steals our liberty, that's who and you figure out who that is because we, the people know
you have really ramped up your posts here, octovirus and 99% of your posts have a recurring theme...all is well, we must listen to the "truth" (as you put it) that our government tells us...bin laden is alive, beware the H1N1, they won't take away the internet, nothing to see here, move along
more and more, every day, you define yourself as an enemy of freedom and liberty
Bhutto was killed immediately after she publicly proclaimed that bin laden was dead and for you to state otherwise is total misrepresentation of the truth

Ecorob: Your emotionalism towards me clouds your rationale
Bhutto said in two other interviews in 2007 that Osama "had not been apprehended"
Also, the most "popular" claims of Osama's death was that he either died in the battle of Tora Tora (2001) or that he died near that time owing to his twice weekly need for Renal Dialysis.
"Octogerm" -- Wow; you really hate my username (don't you); hahahaha.
The other thing is "where's the 'proof'" that she was killed for saying that -- I mean; most of her own people say she was killed by Musharaf or a Taliban fringe.
Also, Bhutto was from a wealthy family and was pro-peace -- she was like a princess or royalty (wasn't she)? Why would she be privy to Osama's death and it be possible for that to be a "secret"
People in her position are not part of the "underground" -- For safety reasons; contacts in the underground resistences yes. But, if you have to roll around with armed escorts everywhere you are not kicking it in a bunker.
Therefore if she had information that Daniel Pearl's murderer (who she was most likely referrencing given the context of that "famous Osama is dead" speech) Sheikh Omar, was also bin Laden's murderer it would be highly un-likely that it was a "secret" -- that being the case and given her wealthy pedigree; why would she be murdered for it?
No my friend -- mostly likely she was not killed for that relevation (given that none of her family think that's why she was killed, nor her followers) and that she was killed for threatening Musharaf's "reign-dictatorship" prior to re-elections.
As I said in another post -- Osama died by bombing (2001) or died from a lack of Renal Dialysis (2001-2).
You don't get Renal Dialysis until your Kidney's are just about completely fried.

Hello
I love that 90% of the youtube comments are people saying osama bin laden died years ago. I never heard/saw these new tapes, is there actually a tape of the man or is this all hearsay?
See this video with Benazir Bhutto,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnychOXj9Tg
about 2:15
She was murdered shortly after making this announcement.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4DRZMs9SXM&feature=related
thats right, meekandmild...
but the octogerm must say no no no, don't look at that and how she was immediately murdered after stating that...look at this hand over here!
octogerm reminds me of the old saying about the "mark" in a card game...if you look around and you don't know who the "pigeon" is...its probably you!
when i look around here and always see octogerm making these statements that are completely opposite of the known facts we have "vetted" (to use his words) i wonder what his agenda is
its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...

What do you think?

lol
are you serious?? Wouldn't she have corrected herself?? The silence of the reporter is also very telling.
RidetheDirt: It's totally cool to question things and vette out
huge stories.
I don't know personally if Osama is dead -- I only know what I've been told.
If Osama is dead the way Bhutto said he was -- then why is it that she only ever said it once (or did she say it more than once)?
I swore I heard a video of Chenney saying Osama is dead, back in 2001.
Here's another Chenney video (un-related to Bhutto); if the U.S thought that Osama might not have been involved with 911 then why would the U.S kill Bhutto for claiming that Osama was dead.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvT3y-qwrEo
Also, if the person Bhutto said killed Osama; Sheikh Omar (same guy who killed Daniel Pearl), was indeed the killer than it had to happen around 2001 to 2002.
So, then why did Bhutto say twice (in 2007) that Osama had yet to be apprehended; if only later she revealed that he was dead.
I think it is fair in that "famous" interview that she mispoke.
I think when she was talking about that Sheik (who's known for killing Daniel Perlman) that when she said Osama she meant to say "Pearl" -- in that famous interview she was talking about other murderers of innocent tourists or media figures; the Osama referrence was out of place logically.
Lastly -- what evidence do we have that she was killed for that reason; more likely Mussaraf had her killed or a member of the Taliban for being a potential threat as a Pro-Peace Leader.
Most people agree that Osama died because he needed Renal Dialysis
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/osama_dead.html
It is doubtful that Omar Sheikh killed Daniel Pearl and Osama bin Laden; regardless how would Bhutto be "privy" to this information (specifically) when there are no other news sources that this was indeed true.
Bhutto comes from a wealthy family, she is not a spy nor did she run with the underground; I would think that she would not be first in news of this magnitude.
This is why I question it -- not that Osama is still alive.
Sheikh Muhammed also claims to have killed Pearl.

She knew what she was saying.
She knew what she was saying.
the question is: what kind of journalist wouldn't stop her there and investigate further?
he just sat there quietly.

Interesting that he would speak about Global Warming. Would that be to contribute to the bankruptcy of the US and it's allies?

That was
disturbing on many levels. I have noticed that more and more people are waking up, but this video proves there's still a lot of sleepers out there. I HAD BEEN of the opinion that RT was real news, but this interview has me wondering. Surely, "they're" aware that Bin Laden is dead, so why the farce?

I think she is being cheeky...
I can't be sure... that comment about him "causing wars in the past" and being a threat into the future... It sounds bad at first, but then what is she REALLY getting at? As a zombie boogeyman that can be used to start wars FOREVER, he is a real threat. At about 1:37, when the woman complains that he always blames America no matter what happens, I think she smirks... again, I can't be sure.
Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
...I thought cheeky also...
...The "Global Warming" connection, I think was to make the point of just how obviously ridiculous and full of B.S. the whole Bin Laden thing has become...that he is, if we turn our brains off and listen only to our loving gubernment, responsible for everything...including global warming...
...I think the idea was to get folks to really start THINKING THINGS OUT...(very dangerous to government, but very healthy for Liberty and Freedom)...
...but judging by this video, and some of the comments,I think we are all still pretty much screwed...

Read all of the comments
you will feel much better. They are all laughing saying Bin laden is dead. never existed,CIA boogieman, running for office on climate change issue. On and on. I did not see one Bin Laden believing comment on there.
Very disapointed in RT they had to have hand picke the idiots they interviewed. That one little old lady was cool though.
Maybe RT was showing the world how gullible
the people of the USA are?
