We ALL heard about the soldier who waterboarded his daughter. Terrible. Tragic. But she is still alive. Why is this sick little story not making any headlines? It has it all! Death, child porn, drugs, I think I detect a hint of incest in there... Why, this is MSM GOLD... Oh, the former FBI agent explains the lack of coverage:

I do believe that these huge pharmaceutical companies are evil.
I am not sure what to think, because I do know that money changes people; I have seen it.
I also know a family where a child was abused in bizarre ways--
the family (the parents) were very wealthy, and they had wealthy associations, and this woman tried to tell people about what had happened to her. Few believed her. I listened to her. She died quite young. I knew about this family, and I have wondered about it.

Katherine, I see you are fairly new here. Let me offer one piece of unasked for advice, if I may. Do NOT let your OPINION ever stop you from checking out a story.
You do not need to, indeed you ought not, trust me, or anyone else. But the sources I have access to, you have access to, too. If you don't believe it, great - DO THE RESEARCH and try to disprove it - do not settle for just not believing it. If you believe it, splendid. BEFORE you spread what MIGHT be a lie, even though you believe it, DO YOUR RESEARCH. Oh, and here is how you can tell an honest person who has been mislead from a liar... If you come to me with evidence that I missed that proves me wrong, I will be grateful to you for stopping me from telling lies unknowingly.
Now, there are some sources that our each our own, and we need to decide who amongst ourselves we can trust. Then we share our personal stories, and they enrich our knowledge base.
For instance, I had a neighbor with a retarded brother who was sent to live with the Jesuit monks. One day they brought him home, unannounced, and said he could not stay there any more. He died of AIDS about 4 months later. When the family sued, they discovered the entire group of young men at that home were now HIV positive... well, the ones that were still alive.
I am certainly capable of being misled, of misunderstanding, but you will find I try very, very hard to be truthful. If you are really only a few months into this, you need to steel yourself for some horrifying truths that you must learn, if true liberty is to be had. If you are an old timer with new account, please excuse me. I am trying to be helpful, not condescending. Learning to do the Bunny Hole Jive is tricksy.

in the case of the woman I once knew--
who told me about her 'childhood', she was drug abused; she was given 'experimental' drugs by parents and their associates who had access to those drugs--
this was many decades ago--
recently I found out, quite by accident, that one of her parents was involved in Masonry.
The person who told me was not sure 'what to think', but was "puzzled".
Many of the people who knew this woman and discounted her story have begun to wonder about it--
so . . .

I bring this up only to point out that many of us have spoken to people, some in the past whose stories are beginning to make us think.

I grew up in the little suburb of Cincinnati where - no lie - Proctor met Gamble. I used to play on the Proctor estate all the time. My family was middle class folk, but the suburb is considered by many to be one of, if not the most, prestigious one in the area. (Indian Hills probably beats it by now, but in my day...) I am just trying to say, the kids I went to school with were people like the step daughters of Paul Brown, the Bengals coach... And now I think about how some of friends lived, I wonder many, many things. The story that bothers me most is the twin daughters of very well to do folks who ran a little brothel from their house... I mean, really... How does a pair of 16 year old girls run a BROTHEL from their HOME without their parents noticing?

I thought it showed how a woman with mental issues killed her son and then tried to kill herself. I don't get the "absolute power" connection.
Where do you think she picked up those mental issues?
I suspect they were a nice by-product of her power filled world. Not "the moral of the story" in my opinion, but not an entirely off the mark point, either.
