Thinking Big, Thinking Ahead...

Hi Folks!
My name is Peter and I live in Australia. As many of the Ron Paul supporters, I've never been interested in politics -- not even in my own country. I've been following the Ron Paul story for months and I believe if elected, his ideas will have global effect. To that effect I have an idea. The only political party with international representation is the Greens.
Imagine an international political party based on Ron Paul's ideas.
He has an international support already but it is not formalized or
coordinated. The formation of such a party would make headlines in the US too.
Let me know what you guys think!
Kind Regards,
Peter

There are dozens all over Europe!
Feel free to start one in your home town.
Just do me a favor and make sure everyone in Adelaide knows about Ron Paul so they can protest in front of Rupert Murdoch's house! :)
International party of national sovereignty?
Since a big part of Ron Paul's message is protecting national sovereignty in trade, defense, and immigration, it's hard to see how that translates to an international movement. But the libertarian, non-interventionist philosophy is certainly transferable: in fact, it's already represented by the International Society of Individual Liberty.

to a PAC, like the blimp or something from anywhere. I know some Europeons are organizing to promote Dr. Paul.
Imagine how much more we could get Dr. Paul our there with a pro liberty international backing.
My only suggestion is not to wait around for some committee. You just have to make it happen my friend.
I don't think that's what he
I don't think that's what he was saying at all. You might want to read his post again.
you're suggesting that Ron Paul...
allign himself with the Greenies? C'mon... do you know anything about Ron Paul? Seriously?

Re-read his post
He's proposing a new international party based on Ron Paul's ideas.
okay... maybe I misinterpreted what he meant..
I'm certainly willing to hear him clarify it. But, Ron Paul has as much chance of joining the Greenies as he does of picking John Edwards as his VP candidate. Just sayin'.

Indeed...
Hi again.
As had been pointed out, I made no suggestion whatsoever for Dr. Paul to align himself with the Green party. I suggested that an entirely new international, political party be created -- based on the ideals of what Ron Paul believes in... meaning freedom, liberty, small government etc. I know that the main trust behind Ron Paul's ideas are based on the US constitution, which is specific to the the US.
However those ideas are valid in any society. Once there are enough members, many important issues will be forced to the discussion table and eventually bring about changes. Having an international political party started from grass roots will give significant credibility to be reckoned with.
The fact is, Ron Paul is only one man. We can't depend on just him to ensure everything stays on the right track. We need to solidify the movement so that it can't be simply taken out that easily. The 'movement' already exists. All over the world there are supporters -- all I'm suggesting is that we give it a name and make it official.
Obviously the most important thing is getting Ron Paul to the White House -- but I feel we need to consider long term implications, and consider going more widespread. The bigger the better. Ron Paul has given us the opportunity to really change the World.
United we stand, divided we fall.
okay, then, i'm on board...
Let's face it... the pursuit of liberty didn't start with Ron Paul. It won't end with him, either. It should, and will, spread worldwide... just not at the point of a gun, as some in our country would prefer. Are you listening George and Hillary?
