I have some hope that the corporate
media saying endlessly that the NeoCons have hijacked the tea party "movement" is just more lies. Are the bulk of the angry, awakening citizens really being duped right back into the sheepfold so easily? Time will tell, but Medina's contest is challenging that view.
So I'm hoping the discouraging news is more force-fed disinformation, the personification of which is the vile Palin puppet.

It's not just the tea parties either.
Not only have these neocon Palinites hi-jacked the Tea Party movement, but I notice more and more they are referring to themselves as "libertarians"! First it was Glenn Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh calling themselves "libertarian", now it is every Joe the plumber out there who thinks they are as well. Worst of all, people who have been lifelong libertarians are being called "leftist" and other nonsense! Remember when we were saying we needed to take-over the GOP from the neocons? What happened? It appears they have just re-labeling themselves, and marketed it to associate themselves with "liberty" which they know nothing about!

All politicians have a voting record, and most people an ability to access government voting records to check the Facts of each wanna be Tea Party Representative.

Uhh, yea, most Tea Party supporters will be fooled. People have very short term memories, that's why we always vote out one criminal and replace him with another one, cycle after cycle.

The Ron Paul Boston Tea Party
was an EVENT of the Ron Paul Revolution Campaign. The subsequent Tea Party groups were certainly inspired by that event but as far as I know there is not a 'Ron Paul Tea Party group'.
The National Tea Party event is just ONE tea party group..one of the ones that is neocon GOP co-opted. There are other tea party groups that are made up of Libertarian, Independents, Constitution Party, Traditional Republicans and some Disillusioned Dems.
I think The National Tea Party/Palin following neocon faction alienates most of the other Liberty movement. So the only faction that is hi-jacked is the hard core GOP, neocon faux tea partiers that would probably never change thier views anyway!

It is sickening to see this kind of thing happen; to see your hopes and dreams chipped away, but it's actually good news!
Being on the outside, as we are, we can never be sure just how solid our movement is. This complex, high-level charade is evidence they are worried.
The pitch-fork crowd grows stronger every day; a very dangerous situation for those in power. (They know what happens when the masses find out what they've been up to!)
Take heart, and be vigilant. This is not the only arrow in their quiver, and it's certainly not the sharpest!

I'm a regular reader of DP, but never posted before. But I think this topic is huge and I feel sick thinking that our movement has been highjacked!

I'm the "Patrick" who didn't need the attention back then, and still do not. Since then, I got married, moved, had a baby, and life moves on. But I've watched the movement closely and can't help the sinking feeling it has been highjacked. Palin = McCain = Bush = Obama. What to do?
