Living in "Libertarian Heaven"... Have you found it yet?
Now I have been a libertarian since 1980. During that time, I have always wondered where "libertarian heaven" is on this earth.
What is "libertarian heaven" anyway? Well, certainly being able to pay little or NO property taxes or State income taxes would be a great thing. Keep those county rules & regs to a minimum. And wherever it is, it would have to be fertile enough that you could carve out your living.
I guess "libertarian heaven" for me means, being far away - but not too far. For me, that means good medical & food access that is just 90-120 minutes or so away. Good Internet & phone Access and of course a place for my, truck, boat, dog & of course guns. It means for me lots of privacy & personal freedom, but yet not being (totally) isolated, after all, I like people.
Ayn Rand fantasized about it and called it Galt's Gulch.
Milton Friedmans' grandson is busy planning & I guess even trying to build great Ocean Cities.
Last year I took a a flight to Florida and found some interesting parcels on the West Gulf coast with some great fishing & ranching uses. Nice, but all the taxes where another thing.
In the past, I even traveled to Costa Rica and Panama, and yes there are certainly promising possibilities.
In my own state of Arizona, I found some awesome one acre parcels of land, near Lake Mead, just 1 1/2 from Vegas with all for just a few thousand dollars. I found other parcels just north of Flagstaff Arizona and some near Prescott which was very appealing.
But what really blew me away, was this ad for land here:
“Hunt, fish, and live a real libertarian lifestyle!
Buy just about a full acre of Land on the Pacific Ocean! No Property Taxes! Even comes with Seller Financing! Build anything you want. It’s libertarian heaven. See pictures and pricing here:

So, if you know where that slice of "Libertarian Heaven" is... be sure to use this thread to let us all know. Hey, don't worry! There are not that many of us and even fewer of us will actually take "massive action" and do something like move next to you. So share! Some of us are choking on over regulated, over taxed, too dense city life. So let us in on where you have found "Libertarian Heaven". Don't worry its not going to turn out like it did for Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie "The Beach".
Now, a very good friend of mine is planning a really big trip to the Orient and I am expecting to hear of some truly amazing places that one could buy. I hear China is the new center of Capitalism, so how would it be living there? Mmmm And how about other places around the world? Indeed, if you know of any, please let us know.
In Peace & Liberty,

Although the Mead view area is very appealing I Know that area very well.Dolan Springs,White hills, and Mead View area is the Meth capital of Az.If you leave for the weekend you will return to find everything in your house has disappeared, even the door knobs and toilet!
In this area a person has to guard his property 24-7 and there is only 2 sheriff deputies to cover this very large area.Something to consider.

Thanks for the dream!
I didn't see if it had electricity to the property? I know many folks wouldn't be able to handle living so far from "civilization"--town being 12 miles away and probably limited shopping.
Yep, I know where it is.
On some mesa in New Mexico. I might try to get there some day. For now, I am trying to make wherever I am a little piece of Libertarian Heaven.
