I think we need to stop using our energy deciding who gets credit for the tea party concept in this modern time, and get back to work on having more of them .
Honestly folks the cause is Liberty and the restitution of Constitutional principles and the liberty that it ensures.
Our cause is the SINGLE ISSUE that unites us all and bickering about who gets credit takes away vital energy from our program.
As for myself I believe our mission requires everyones unique talents and endevours and energy to even have a chance at success.

I believe the matter is one of denying state involvement in specific doctrinal issues and with supporting churches.
That is different from freedom of people to use religion or any other type of thought system to determine their values and what is just based upon their spiritual ponderings upon the nature of life, the order of the Tao, upon the Higher Order and how it can best be applied to civilization and community.
As usual, Dr. Paul is spot on. This interview was given prior to the speech by the keynote speaker at the Tea Party Convention. -can't help but be insatiably curious what Dr. Paul's feelings were after that keynote speaker spoke?
Other then bumbling as she strained to read notes someone else apparently wrote for her, in addition to reading off her hand, here's what I noted:
1) she _strongly_ supports sanctions against Iran (which is an act of War).
2) war on "terror": She states we do not back down and we do all we can do to win!
3) She railed against the underwear bomber but failed to mention that the reason he attempted to attack was because we killed hundreds of people in yemen just alittle over a week before Christmas.
4) She stated the U.S. Constitution does not represent foreigners in our country: Glen Greenwald (libertarian) states that is not true and that the constitution represents a foreign citizen here and that's why they should be given their miranda rights once they touch our soil. http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2010/02/01...
Would be interested in comments from this site on this?
5) She stated she wants more religion in politics. Ms. Palin, the reason the original settlers came to America was to be _free_ from all that.
6) She stated that when she was governor she refused the bailout funds that came to Alaska, but the republican congress in Alaska vetoed her decision. Ms. Palin, everything I've read states that you were not even governor of Alaska when the bailout funds came their way!
7) And after being paid $120k to rehash a Neocon party line of simplistic one-liners, the auditorium erupted with a standing ovation and a chorus of calls to: "Run Sarah Run" "Run Sarah Run" (in 2012).
that what separates him from the Ross Perots of politics is that he is creating COMPETITION for control of the Republican Party. So true! What a scary notion that must be for those already in control.

I think we really....
need to back off the Tea Party name and start making a push to call ourselves who are REAL Ron Paul LIBERTY supporters something else.
I would prefer liberty movement, or Liberty PARTY.

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul
Ron Paul tailored this interview towards Democrats.
He pointed out that we don't really have democratic elections, because the Democratic and Republican parties have a stranglehold on elections.
But he stopped short of saying much about our republic.
I suppose this must be a Democrat influenced radio show?

that what separates him from the Ross Perots of politics is that he is creating COMPETITION for control of the Republican Party. So true! What a scary notion that must be for those already in control.
