What A Movement!
Jason Ledlie – County Clerk
I can honestly say that the most important thing for me that will come from my grandfather’s 2008 presidential candidacy is the fact that awesome candidates are popping up all over the country to run for myriad offices that will, no doubt, force government to reconsider its proper role.
In 1996, when my grandfather ran for Congress again (he had been out since 1984), several of my good friends stepped up to help us campaign, go door-to-door, shake hands, hang signs, and all the other things that go along with running a congressional campaign.
At the time, being 16 years old, it was a lot of fun and really impacted my life. We had fun doing it, and it obviously impacted the life of a good friend of mine, who has taken up the cause for liberty and threw his hat in the ring to become a County Clerk in the Central Texas County of Bastrop.
Jason Ledlie, long-time family friend and Ron Paul supporter, announced recently that he would run to impact politics at a local level and apply liberty-loving principles to county government as we begin to build a philosophy of liberty at all levels of government from the county courthouse to the White House.
I challenge you to look at this local race in Bastrop County Texas and consider a few things.
1) Can I help Jason Ledlie in any way?
2) What can I do in my own county/parish to make a difference like Jason Ledlie?

Woohoo!

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul
This is really where it all
This is really where it all starts and gets done. If we had most of our local government officials like Jason, the "top" officials would not be able to conduct business as usual.Way to go Jason....shake it up!
Thank You
Matt,
Thank you for your kind words and for your support. As you know, we're running in a tough race here in Bastrop County. We're running on "liberty-loving principles," though, and we're excited about shaking up the longstanding establishment stronghold on our county.
Dailypaul.com'ers,
Thank you for your support as well. Our campaign website is currently the public face of the campaign. Please check out our campaign website at www.JasonLedlie.com. We'd love to hear from you (especially if you live in Bastrop Co.).
Freely,
Jason Ledlie
Good Luck Jason!
Keep up the good work! Remember that collectivism is contagious so stay true to your principles..don't waver one bit! Remember this: Economics follows Ecology and Education precedes them both. You are now in a position where you can educate people about creating a sustainable platform for free markets to exist, you have my support.
The role of a farmer, in Fukuoka's mind, is an observer, not an intervener, of the natural order in his/her particular landscape. How is that any different than Hayek in regards to Economics?
Good
