PAUL'S REBELLION.... its time has come...
Perhaps the "Tea Party" is gone. Mainstream media has certainly seen and reported the difference between what we were doing and saying in 2007, and Palin-Beck-Fox new muted muddled tea party of 2010.
So, Perhaps we need something new, something loud and yet something with a historical message.... Perhaps what we need is a "Paul's Rebellion"?
"Paul's Rebellion" could be a throwback to Shay's Rebellion in August 26, 1786. Lets recall, that "Most of Shays's compatriots were poor farmers angered by what they felt to be crushing debt and taxes. Failure to repay such debts often resulted in imprisonment in debtor's prisons or the claiming of property by the government". They fought back, but the elites reconvened, fought back and threw out the Articles of Confederation and instituted a Constitution. War Debt & Taxes have been with us ever since.
So... Perhaps on August 26th, we have a little PAUL's REBELLION.... and show those tea-party know-nothings what its all about.
On August 26th, we can erect (just like they did back then) tall beautiful "Liberty Poles" & "Liberty Trees", AND we will build & display these, "Liberty Poles" & "Liberty Trees", to to symbolize our cause.
Our Liberty Poles & Liberty Trees can then be burned at midnight.... as we throw boxes and boxes into the flames. And on those boxes are the words in big bold letters:
THE IRS,
INCOME TAXES,
PROPERTY TAXES,
SALES TAXES,
GOLDMAN SACS,
DEPT of EDUCATION,
DEPT of ENERGY,
AIG, CHASE BANK,
THE FEDERAL RESERVE,
MILITARY COMPLEX,
BIG GOVERNMENT,
WAR ON DRUGS,
WAR ON POVERTY,
WAR ON TERRORISM
DEPT OF HOMELAND SECURITY,
STANDING ARMY,
BANKER BAILOUTS,
CORPORATE WELFARE,
& CORPORATISM.
The protesters can wear bright Thomas Paine & Patrick Henry shirts ... with the the phrase,...
"Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death"
... and...
"My Life, Liberty, & Property belongs to No Man"
The literature that we can pass out could be many things, but one thing we may wish to pass out is the actual ARTICLES of CONFEDERATION.
Perhaps even an updated one for 2010!!!!
Question: Just WHERE should we do all this?
Answer: Why the Springfield, Massachusetts Armory Square of course.

Might consider changing the word "rebellion" for another. The tea-party idea worked because "everyone likes a party"...but few want to attend a "rebellion" !

Maybe It Is Time To Change Gears
As our movement has matured, we have developed numerous candidates who are running for high public office. There are the 8 mentioned above, plus Peter Schiff and no doubt many others running for lesser offices.
Here in Hidalgo County Texas we have Rebecca Cervera running for State Rep.
As far as I can determine, EVERY LAST ONE of those liberty candidates is running in the REPUBLICAN primary.
It is time to stop being an insurgency of outsiders and to learn to feel comfortable as movers within the Party, promoting the strong candidates that we have. Staying out in the cold may make you feel righteous, but it will not allow you to succeed in what you profess to want: the election of our candidates.
