Eight (8) PLUS! DailyPaul Liberty Candidates
First listed are eight Liberty candidates with banners posted here. I first thought these might be favorites but according to Michael they are sponsored ads. Since posting this thread the list of prospective candidates has more than doubled!
Just thought it might be nice if we could organize them as to primary/election dates and perhaps money bombs too. Maybe a calendar would help if someone has that ability?
Would you like to adopt a candidate? Anyone interested, just start posting info in comments.

Thought it might be good time
Thought it might be good time to send this around. Starting the list seemed a good idea at the time. Mostly just gathering info with hope of ideas on what to do with it ;) No doubt it's a good time for critique of participation in the Medina run and maybe spot some things we can do differently?

Suggestions please?
Suggestions please? Occasional comments question validity of some above as 'liberty' candidates. I noticed another thread earlier stumping for a known RINO and chose not to list him. Should I put a ? beside these candidates as comments indicate or just leave as is? Other ideas?

Robyn Hamlin Missouri 1st Congressional District
Robyn Hamlin is running for US Congress against Lacy Clay in the 1st Congressional District in Missouri.
She is currently Missouri State Co-Coordinator for the Campaign for Liberty and is stepping down from that post to run.
Yes, please help Pat Sellers gather petition signatures
duplicate post. sorry.
Peg Luksik is anti-liberty, pro-war, etc
I saw her give a presentation where she explained that she is against free-trade and supports the occupation of Iraq. She also admitted that her proposed healthcare legislation is not authorized by the constitution. Oh, she also thinks weed smokers belong in cages.
I have no idea why anyone would confuse her for a pro-liberty candidate.
James Babb
www.JamesBabb.com
I share the Babbster's concerns
As I posted elsewhere, her most favorable issue seems to be that she's not Pat Toomey. I can't see her plan for rectifying the government's insolvency and impending currency collapse other than "cutting waste," efficiency and other silliness that wouldn't address the problem. She either doesn't have the political courage to indicate that the scope and scale of the military's overseas placements must be sharply curtailed (if not eliminated), or she doesn't believe it. If it's the latter, it's a clear indication that she doesn't understand finance.
In short, where's the beef? Her stump speech appeals to emotion, not thought. We can get that from neoconservatives. If she starts specifying how much she would like to cut from the budget and where (and not mindlessly say "balance the budget"), she's another fraud.
If it increases freedom, it's good. If it doesn't, it's just bad.
Pa. Primary
Pennsylvania has one of the later primaries, this year held on May 18. This would apply to Pat Sellers who is running as a Republican, but not Jake Towne who is running as an independent.
Another area where people can help the candidates is in the petition drives. Coincidentally, the petition drive in Pa. for D and R candidates starts today and goes through March 9. Ds and Rs need 1000 qualifying signatures from people in their district and registered with the same party. Specifically, for Pat Sellers, that is 1000 qualifying signatures from registered Republicans in the Pa. 6th congressional district (parts of Chester, Montgomery, Berks and a smidge of Lehigh counties).
As I understand it from Jake Towne, the petition period for independent candidates starts immediately afterwards (March 10) and is significantly longer but I do not recall the exact end date (September or something like that). However he needs significantly more signatures (5% of registered voters in his district, IIRC) which is something like 3200 qualifying signatures. These must come from registered voters in his district (Pa 15, Lehigh and Northampton counties) but has no party affiliation requirement.
The other limitation on signing is that no individual may sign a petition for more than one candidate running for a specific office.
If you live in or near Eastern Pa. please consider helping out one or both candidates with their signature drives.

Yes, please help Pat Sellers gather petition signatures
Freedom candidates can potentially win ONLY if they get on the ballot. It requires signatures. They don't magically happen. It takes volunteers and it's REALLY easy.
If you live in Pennsylvania's 6th Congressional District (much of Chester, Montgomery, Berks counties and a small bit of Lehigh), please go to www.patsellers.org, click on JOIN and indicate there that you would like to help gather signatures. How many you gather is up to you. Some people will get 5 to 10. Some will get 50 to 100, or more. It depends on YOUR time, how much you can spare. It's really EASY because we give you a "walking list" that shows all of the addresses in your area where registered GOP voters live. You just ring a door bell, say hello, thank them for being Republicans and ask them to kindly sign your petition to get Pat on the ballot. It's not an endorsement for them, just part of the Democratic process.
The people you will contact will generally be happy to see you. You'll get an offer of a soda or two. If they ask about Pat's positions, you can tell them that he's the only conservative in the race (true). If you want a supply of slim jims, you can hand one out to everyone who asks about him. That will allow you to get the signature and run (or drive) to the next door. It's really sort of fun because you'll meet a lot of nice people and you'll enjoy the brief opportunity to say hello.

What percentage of them I wonder has a shot. I wish I were a millionaire. I would give 2400 per candidate. It's frustrating to see so many and not be able to help out financially. I can probably only help out on a couple of them.
Hope some here will be

Not to pop anyone's bubble
about how gracious I am, but the banners on the sites are ads. There are so many great candidates, as we all know, that the Daily Paul uses the free market to both promote candidates and to help fund the site.
If any of the candidates would like to place an ad, or if any sponsors would like to place an ad on their behalf, please contact me.
As for the poster below who asked if I had some kind of falling out with Schiff - the answer is no. The majority of the content on the site is user generated. So if members of the community don't post it here, then it won't show up here.
No bubble pop here. Thanks,
No bubble pop here. Thanks, this is good to know. And here I thought these were perhaps your favorites ;)
I see Dr. Lowry is now up there. Perhaps some here will yet adopt from above list and fill DP with ads in addition to candidate info!

Well, they are my favorites, too
:)
I also turn down ads. I'm not going to let just anyone grace these pages. I'd never take money from a neocon. When Glenn Beck's new book "Arguing With Idiots" came out, they tried to advertise here, which I politely declines.
No thanks, Glenn.
A morally upright decision Michael, and a satisfying.......
declination I would assume. For Beck is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Nothing worse than a Neo-Con dis-information agent pretending to be a Pro-Liberty, Pro-Freedom, Pro-Constitution, etc. supporter.
Im going to plan on donating
Im going to plan on donating something to everyone of them just out of appreciation. whether its 10 or 15$ I will be happy knowing i did something.
