We have a Ron Paul Store - You should too
Submitted by bedr1 on Mon, 12/10/2007 - 13:13In our area (Springfield, MO) we have a Ron Paul Store. Basically one of our members allows us to use an office in his building to sell or give away (depending on the item) Ron Paul Bumper stickers, yards signs, t-shirts etc.
Its great - we have people every day that purchase from our store - this allows them to get bumper stickers on their cars and yards signs on their property. In turn, it gets the word out to more people and its like a snowball effect. We also get money to purchase more signs etc.
Also you can leave Ron Paul items to be given away at the local Republican headquarters - the trick is to make sure that those staffing the headquarters do NOT give your items away without them making those getting the free Ron Paul stuff to fill out their name, number and address. This makes it difficult for people to waste you stuff or some NeoCon Republican to throw the Ron Paul stuff out.
Make sure you provide the sign up sheet and an attached pen so they can't give you any excuses.
Get Out The Vote. (GOTV)
Tom Lazzardo (?sp) is heading up the Ron Paul, Get Out The Vote effort. Your store idea and signing people up works right along with GOTV.
Go to the official site, www.ronpaul2008.com and go to "get involved" then "training videos" there is only one vid so far and you will have to sign in to view it. This is a must do for all meetups, please watch video and share with others.
