Simcox endorses Hayworth
Chris Simcox, the co-founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, the militant anti-illegal immigration group, has dropped his own primary challenge to Sen. John McCain for Senate to endorse former Congressman J.D. Hayworth, according to Hayworth spokesman Jason Rose.
Simcox hadn't found much traction in the poll attacking McCain for his support for a package of measures known as Comprehensive Immigration Reform, deeply unpopular among many Republican primary voters, who consider it "amnesty." His endorsement gives will offer Hayworth — who had already attacked McCain from the right on immigration — even more visibility in that segment of the GOP base.
UPDATE: Simcox's comments at the announcement, per Rose:
Last April I made the decision to challenge John McCain because his votes for bailouts and open borders confirmed what so many of us knew to be true. He had been in office for too long, and he was not interested in defending conservative principles.
A lot has changed since then. The bad news is that the Obama Administration has taken us very far in the wrong direction. The good news is that the people of this country have woken up!
And the time is ripe for a new Republican Revolution!
From New York to New Jersey, Virginia to Massachusetts, and Florida to
Texas, conservative Republicans and their brothers and sisters in the Tea
Parties have united to say ³No More!² to the liberals who run our nation.
And now we have an incredible opportunity here in Arizona to win perhaps the
most important race in the entire country. The New York Times calls him a
moderate, and they love his politics. Well do you know what Arizonans call a
New York moderate? A liberal!
When J.D. got into this race I thought long and hard about the decision I
had to make, and it became obvious to me that the right thing to do was to
remember the mission: Elect a consistent conservative to the United State
Senate.
My friends, that is exactly what we are here to do!
So it is with great pleasure that I stand with J.D. Hayworth and endorse his
campaign!
I pledge to him, and to all of you, that I will do my all and give my all to
this cause. And I urge my supporters to follow me and join J.D.¹s team.
The name on the ballot matters far less than what that person stands for.
J.D. is a conservative we can be proud of.
Now let¹s get out there and win!

We really should Run a R3VOLution canditate
If I was in a better position financially, boy I would love to run a spoiler race.
Hayworth is just a younger McCain. Oh gee, oh my.
There is one!
Deakin!
Great guy, but polling at zero and I'd like to see McCain OUTTA THERE!
Hayworth is NOT better than McCain.....
....but just like the guy who took Kennedy's seat in MA, he is just an opportunity to break the McCain machine in AZ.
That is the one and only reason he's good for anything.
BTW, ironically McCain has endorsed Audit the Fed. Check the auditthefed.com website to verify.
Both are complete and utter neocons. Simcox is also a complete and utter neocon.
BTW, Hayworth is easily influenced by the globalists. I'm putting $20 down right now that he withdraws and throws to McCain before the primary occurs in AZ in August.
I just turned the Simcox fb goup I used to admin....
Into a Jim Deakin group :)
and sent out this message -
Chris Simcox ended his campaign this week and endorsed J.D. Hayworth, former Congressman and talk show host. While Hayworth talks a good conservative game on the border and other issues, his record shows him to be just another party hack. I may be just another tea party activist, but I won't support retread big government republicans just because they sound good when trying to win my support. I want their actions to back up their words. I supported Chris Simcox for this reason, but Hayworth falls short. From Politics Daily - "Hayworth was supportive of the Bush era's big spending."

So where is my support in this race going to? To the only principled conservative left standing - Jim Deakin.

war
not to start up the "war monger" thread again, but I have a question about Deakin ... his website certainly "talks the talk" but in all his bullets he also appears to be a warmonger in much the same way as McCain. He seems to be just as brain washed as the next guy about this phony "War on Terror" that we're engaged in and says nothing about illegal wars being ended, etc etc. That's the primary reason I haven't endorsed Deakin to my friends and circle of influence yet.
Anybody got anymore information (direct information) about Deakin and why he says such things on his website?
In Liberty here in Chandler .......
From..
Deakin's website on his issues page - "America is not a conquering nation and our forces should only be used to protect our interests and direct threats against our allies. Any use of our military to expand political control by our civilian leadership must be stopped. We are not the world police and we need our men and women to protect our freedom. America should lead by example, not through the force of our military."
Can't say I agree with going to war to protect any "ally" but the rest of it sounds 100% better than what McCain and Hayworth are saying - but then there is this on his front page - •Win against Terrorism
•Fight in Afghanistan not America...ok..I don't know how you blend that with what he has on his issues page...but then we have this - •End the Patriot Act....
so - Deakin is no Ron Paul, but he is better than Hayworth and McCain, and he has this going for him - he isn't a part of the machine. I wont be working or volunteering for him, but I wish him well in going up against the matrix.

Hayworth is better than McCain ONLY...
if he pledges to support "Audit the Fed." Every other issue is secondary, and McCain is a Senate cosponsor of Sanders / DeMint.
Too bad
he plays the "bad liberal" vs. the "good conservative" game card. This is not a spectator sport.
I quit working for the Simcox campaign in September..
When Chris told me he would likely do this if Hayworth made it official..it was just rumblings and rumours then, but Chris's support of Hayworth was all the info I needed to step away from the campaign. I'm still disappointed.

I don't blame you for being
I don't blame you for being disappointed after all the work you've done, but won't you be happy if McCain loses?
Hayworth FOR torture.
I know there are some issues Hayworth is more conservative than McCain on, but in this race, I am more against McCain than FOR Hayworth.
Thankfully, he is opposed to amnesty and McCain Feingold.
Hayworth isn't a perfect
Hayworth isn't a perfect candidate by any means, but he is much better than McCain. McCain is so bad on so many issues, almost anyone looks good compared to him. I'll be happy if McCain loses this race. He's been pushing this country in the wrong direction for too many years. Wish we had someone like Rand Paul running against McCain who could raise a lot of money and get a lot of support to beat him(name recognition is important too, because almost everyone knows who McCain is, even if they don't like him, at least with Hayworth, he had a conservative radio show which helped him gain more name recognition), but candidates like that are rare unfortunately, and hard to come by.
Yah...
I saw that.
