When Ron Paul wins… we will be forgotten.
Submitted by The_Producer on Mon, 12/10/2007 - 17:50When Ron Paul wins, the main stream media will say, “Oh we knew all along that he was great.” And then they will continue as normal.
When Ron Paul wins the American people will cheer and celebrate as the war is drawn to a close and we settle into a new peace and prosperity. Then they will go back to their daily lives and say “I’m so glad we supported him.”
The rest of us will look at each other knowingly… the battle scarred patriots. The ones who fought hard for this to become a reality will all know how close we came to disaster, and how difficult the struggle was to bring about change. No one will remember those of us who canvassed the streets, who created and posted videos for millions to see. We who changed hearts and minds did so not for any other selfish reasons other than to protect our future and our country.
Again, let us pledge our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to one another again as we pass through this crucial time in history together. Do not waste time.
DUMP YOUR TEA!

Henry V, Act IV, Scene III
Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall our names.
Familiar in his mouth as household words
Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

Once in office
We will have far more work to do. We will have to slam our reps until they vote with Dr. Paul.
This will be the coolest thing.
Once in office everyone will say, he has all these initiatives and the congress will never pass any of them.............ROLE CHANGE!!
These men and women will see what WE did and they will be in awe. I will write my senator and he will answer me immediately (never has before). I will inform him that if he doesn't vote to repeal the patriot and the Warner Act I will "get online" and organize all of US and we will select a candidate, finance him/her and run him out of office!
When I say this after President Paul is in office? HE WILL BELIEVE EVERY WORD I SAY.
I suggest that these cowards (not all, but many) in the house and the senate will fold like accordions when WE come knocking at the door.
The tail will not be wagging the dog anymore.
We will speak and they will listen. "Hey, senator! I am going to raise $500,000 on Tuesday to fund the guy we have picked to beat you in the election..." you think we'll be able to help Dr. Paul?
We will and I am already planning on it.
All, begin to think of Minneapolis. That is where we will win the nomination.
Best,

Ron Paul's victory
Ron Paul's victory into the white house has to be the first of many victories...there has to be a similar victory in the house and a victory in the senate...we have to continue this momentum...join the Libertarian Party...join the libertarian branch of the republican party...keep spreading the news of freedom...keep insisting on individual liberties, personal responsibilities, limited government, lower taxes, peace, and the free market...this does not end in November 2008.

When Ron Paul Wins Its just the First Victory in the Revolution
2 year later the ideology will grow and Washington will be full of fresh faces. We'll continue to clean out the cobwebs. And use our numbers and voice to clean up the MSM, oust them and continue to change the system from the school board to the state house.
In the senate Rockefeller and the CFR cronies must go. In the media all those who were biased and unfair will pay dearly. After the revolution the guilitines come out and heads roll. (not litterally) . We will cut off the heads of those who enabled the tyrants. Every little cockroach in every crevis of politics.
When Ron Paul is president we can get to the business of ensuring liberty on the local and state level.
I have never seen...
I have never seen a wild thing sorry for itself. A bird will fall frozen dead from a bow without ever having felt sorry for itself.
Here is a quote i like ,hope you will too.
"Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come, live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering".....Sorry, Do'nt know the author name.

We don't need to elect
We don't need to elect people whose stance on issues matches ours. We need to throw all the self serving arrogant "leaders" out of Washington. These people are supposed to be our REPRESENTATIVES. All we need is to elect people that understand that they work for US and vote accordingly in congress. Their stance on the issues is irrelevant other that they are one vote among all the other votes of their constituents
My congressman (2nd district
My congressman (2nd district TN) John Duncan was the only one in TN to vote against HR 1955 He also voted against the patriot act. However, he did vote for CAFTA after telling us that he would vote against it. I won't
be able to trust him to honor his oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. It all stems from the arrogant attitude that these people have thinking they are our leaders instead of our public servants. They ALL need to go.
We will be remembered if
we can get a real Libertarian/Traditional Conservative platform to the forefront of American politics. It may all start with Ron Paul, but it would be very disappointing if it ended with him.
new reps in Washington
recently I phoned, e mailed and snail mailed my 5 reps, federal and state level about supporting Ron Paul. Never heard back from 3 of them. One has won my devoted support, and one ticked me off with a Dear Friend e-mail. I have since then let 4 of 5 know I will vote against them in the elections in the future. I am so tired of these elected public servants thinking I don't count. I count at the ballot box!!! And I will make sure they notice as I will campaign strongly against them!
I will sign this as:
Pretty P.O'd in Oklahoma!
yes....
Imagine having the veto pen in the hands of Dr. No.....
We the people will have to rally around him after we elect him, however.
And Congress definitely needs a makeover.
And the federal government should be cut down to the appropriate size.
"Truth is treason in the empire of lies." - Ron Paul
Remember 1994?
Peter Jennings dismissed the Republican victory as a voter "temper tantrum" (exact quote). The MSM could never accept that the people (more specifically, the "little" people) would vote the bastards out based on principle.
Well, get ready for history to repeat itself.
They (MSM) will redouble their efforts to isolate RP, and block his efforts to restore the Republic.
They will NOT embrace him and get on the bandwagon. They will grit their teeth and go through the motions of decency, but will wage a fierce propaganda war against RP.
The President in this country does not run things. Bush is a puppet.
Sure the Presidency has been made into an Imperial throne, but RP by definition will not use that power. That power derives from the big boys anyway, so he couldn't use it even if he wanted to.
This is a long hard struggle, kids, and it's just started. If we're forgotten it will be because we shirked our duty. Don't let that happen.
we will be remembered
We will continue the fight to elect congressman and senators and local government who share Ron Pauls message of freedom. This isnt just get RP elected, its a revolution of freedom and RP is a part of it, as he himself said at the debate.

24/7 Ron Paul Coverage and Discussion
If Ron Paul is going to get
If Ron Paul is going to get the majority of his policies implemented we need to start election congressmen and senators who will follow the constitution. We should maybe even take candidates out of our own grass root ranks for United States congress. From there we can start making real change a complete political revival!
Think of it by the time he gets elected our numbers will be tremendous and if all those people come into support a local congressman candidate his rival would not know what hit him.
well it looks like I just
well it looks like I just reiterated a bunch of people who posted before...oops
No we won't be forgotten. I
No we won't be forgotten. I know that the good doc will use his presidential powers to get the FCC to go after falsified information in the media.
Our voices will be heard throughout history as the group of internet spammers who brought down the propaganda giants.
Once we get the good doc in - next target....congress......then local officials.
Start With Members of Congress Who Voted For HR 1955
This is a link to the votes cast:

See if your U S Representative is on it. If so, find out who his opponent is. Then contact the opponent to find out where he/she stands on the issues. If you agree with the majority of his/her beliefs, then volunteer to campaign for him/her.
I have done exactly that over the past few days. My Representative is Ron Klein (D - District 22 - Florida). He voted in for HR 1955.
I contacted his opponent, Allen West. I found out through e-mail exchanges that Mr. West holds strong libertarian beliefs. So, I sent a donation to his campaign today and volunteered to canvass for him. Now when I canvass for Ron Paul I'll be able to help another candidate with strong libertarian values.
Exactly
Many of you in NH have pledged to help take back the GOP and make it the Ronpaulican party! We already have some good footsoldiers here, I hope more move and join us.
As well we should be
As well we should be forgotten!! Look at how many years Ron Paul has carried this burden with nothing much but ridicule. He has held it together for years and years until we finally saw the light in large enough numbers to make this work.
But we have a long, long way to go. I have noticed that people seem to have a need to bring glory on themselves in this endeavor. There is holding too tightly to a relationship with Dr. Paul, like jealousy of his relationship with them. Interesting phenomenon that I didn't expect. Secrecy around his comings and goings, people stepping away from a plan to do their own thing in order to get a closer thing going with him, etc. As another poster said, this is not about our agrandizement. Now that he is getting support, people think he is awesome. Where were we for the many, many years he was putting himself on the line.
We need to keep our heads down and keep working. The job is not done yet. Don't celebrate prematurely. I have recently run into 3 individuals who have never heard of him. Ugh. We celebrate within ourselves and a huge part of the US does not even know who he is. We associate too much within our meetups. Make your meetups very, very public. Don't meet where you cannot be seen.
Insist that any printed material be released now to get it out to the people. I hate to see this thing slip through our hands because we are thinking about getting thanked!!
The Revolution goes BEYOND 1 presidency
I respect a lot of your comments, and agree with a lot of them. I believe some are forgetting the power of his message. Ron Paul's message has already inspired me to be a more thoughful person, and even sparked a fire to run for local/state office myself (next cycle - i'm dedicated to RP right now!) The revolution will belong to us, it's a seed that he has given us. It's up to us to water that seed, and continue his message. Ron Paul is the catalyst that changes what a Presidential candidate is in the future. The true message will be spread beyond this presidential election season, and continue for years to come, making our future choices of leaders much better.
Also,
When RP wins, we will have turned the whole campaign structure on its head. Gone will be the days of "buying" votes through the MSM, or by cheap celebrity endorsements (Oprah).
I can see it now:
RP places 3rd or better in Iowa - media ignores him
RP DOMINATES NH - media catches on
RP Wins Nomination - MSM scrable to create positive RP content, and start spinning their previous anti-paul statements (I'm lookin at you Stephanopulusagasouras!)
- international news outlets start picking up the story. The message spreads.
Then, a foreign head of state makes pro-paul speech - game over. RP wins by a landslide. And the rest, as they say... is history.
Our responsibilites are just starting
This is not going to be a cake walk. This movement has to get our people elected in order to make REAL change. These people are NOT going to
role over and say "oh, well". We have to stay vigilant, don't go back to sleep. That is what they will counting on. They don't think we are committed but with the young Ron Paul supporters getting experience and knowledge on running a campaign we may have an edge. Peace
Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.
Hopefully We will be in the books as the Peaceful Revolution
I hope we can continue our efforts to be vigilant for ours and our children's futures.
We are already effecting change -the peaceful revolution is spreading like wildfire.

I say fire all the senators
I say fire all the senators and representatives and start over. There are not enough good ones to worry about. Vote for whoever is not the incumbant. THROW ALL THE BUMS OUT.

Don't fire Ron Paul!!!
He's the ONE good one we have to worry about. So all of you in his district down in Texas, you know what to do...
Don't have to worry about
Don't have to worry about him. He'll be in the oval office!
I dont mind
As long as Paul wins, I will know it was worth it.
I dont support him for my own personal glory. I support him because he's right.
what?
Getting Ron Paul elected is only half the battle. Weve got to create a permanent network and get Constitutionalists in every seat of government. Plus President Paul can't do everything himself, he needs the support of the people, and we will need his support in our mission to reduce the size of the federal government.
Dont fall back into apathy.
"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." - Thomas Jefferson
This is and will continue to be very much a live and breathing movement long after Dr. Paul has passed through the oval office, this is a revolution in thought. We have to educate people and educate our children, only we the people can secure liberty!
"Truth is treason in the empire of lies." - Ron Paul
And isn't that the point of all?
That we can go back to our daily lives, live in peace and anonymity with the government off our backs?
