Setting up a contribution for the Stack family

0 votes

I was thinking of setting up an online contribution for the Stack family.

I know right now that many people will shun them out of hand when it comes to aiding them in their time of need. I see that neither the wife or daughter that were left behind should be punished for the act of Mr. Stack.

If it is set up as a trust, the IRS won't be able to garnish it to pay down the supposed IRS lien. But it can be used to help establish them a new home. Whether it is in the Austin area or not, would be up to the family.

Thoughts, ideas, and is anyone else interested?

This would be an act similar

This would be an act similar to that of the Amish community on the school house murders. Their response was to reach out in offer of humble support to the gunman's wife and children.

I don't see the point

in blaming Joe's family, if they need help. Maybe its to soon. Do we know anything about them?

How about the families of the

How about the families of the people he killed and injured?

As usual

Someone wants to play devils advocate.

Mr. Hunter and the other yet unnamed person that died will have plenty of access to aid.

Mrs. Stack and her daughter won't, since they will most likely be ostracized by their community.

I happen to live in Austin, and figured that it would be far easier for me to help out from here, than for someone outside of Austin.

Think what you will. I don't pat Mr. Stack on the back or praise him for killing two innocent people and injuring others, in his attack on the Echelon building and the IRS.

What I don't want to see is the other two innocent people in this equation, his wife and daughter, left out in the cold because his act.

I hope you do
