Take a walk around Detroit....

and ask those folks what the unemployment rate is. (Careful not to get shot).

thanks pal

you're not going to get shot and promoting that stereotype isn't helping us either.

It looks a heck-of-a-lot higher

then 10% to me.

You pretty much have to move

You pretty much have to move to the farm belt and watch corn grow if you want job security.

There is a little square..

that is still white (1,9% or below).

What is that place ?

a county in North Dakota

don't know which one though...I am sure you can find it if you google counties in north dakota...

I think that is where . . .

oil is being drilled. It's a 'boom' area--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Here is something startling about this data:

Between January, 2007 and January, 2008 the rate of unemployment changed little. In the two years from January, 2008 to December, 2009 the rate changed from 4.7% to 9.3%.

So how fast is the unemployment rate increasing? It is increasing at about 40% per year since January, 2008. If you extend this into the future at the same rate of change, it will be 13% by the end of 2010, 18.2% by the end of 2011, and 25.5% by the end of 2012. The real rate of unemployment (not the fantasy government numbers) could easily be above 30% before the next presidential election.

Unemployment increased from January, 2008 in spite of the stimulus package and unprecedented easing by the FED, so now that these are over, it would be logical to think that the growth in job loss would at least stay on its current trajectory, but more likely get worse. Thursday the FED pumped up the discount rate in response to a drop in foreign demand for US treasury debt. My own assessment is that the yield on US treasuries, currently 3.782% will reach 7.5% by mid 2012 (think what that will do to deficits). General interest rates increasing will be negative for employment.

The least we can expect politically is that Obama will be a single term President. The worst will be blood in the streets and related chaos.

Here is a current chart of M3 money growth. It depicts the rate of inflation in M3 money supply, which rate is now negative, further evidence that we are entering a deflationary collapse (in other words, we are screwed):

I also found it interesting that Vermont and NH are holding

up much better.....I travel to Vermont quite often, and I find that the majority of people live within their means. Many live very humble lives.....just so damn cold....

Any Webpage Designers Out There?

I was thinking it might be nice if someone who knows how..puts up a page...state by state..kind of like CraigsList..but so we can help each other..
I know..its a lot of work...but we can post jobs we hear of or places to rent..and have an area for bartering.
I know some will take advantage..but thats a chance everyone takes...I was thinking it would be away to help ourselves..and each other.

I believe in Hope & Change..I Hope the government will Change
Spindale-Rutherford County-North Carolina

Good idea, but how would it be different than Craigslist?

Should we gear to Liberty minded people?

Say what you want about Slope Co. North Dakota

But it looks like they may very well be the only county in America that can boast a 1.9% or below unemployment rate.

Cost of war...impact on economy

Why is no one talking about the cost of war anymore?

When Bush was in office, the media railed at the cost: billions per day, as I recall.

Well, the war is still going on. Billions are being spent.

Why has no one linked the broke economy on all that money being spent?

They blame the bailout, the immigrants, but dammit, they probably spent over a trillion on this war by now!

And they say taming the middle east will take a generation! What!

Because

Obama won, hence there is no war. What war are you talking about? If we talk about the war in the media, then Bush and Obama start looking alike.....The establishment don't want that. They want us believing we are two opposites.

holy shhh!

:(

“We have allowed our nation to be over taxed and over regulated and overrun by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with.” Ron Paul

I think I may have over-medicated today,

or else I am listening to AJ too much... But, does anyone else see a connection between the areas with relatively low unemployment and the placement of the NAFTA super highway???

"Truth is treason in the empire of lies"......

think Now now,don't start on

that damn immigration thing !! HAHAHA

I don't believe one has to do with the other

the Agriculture belt will always have low unemployment...few people live there...and people always need to eat in good times and in bad.

If you want to start a business around here, where there's a

growing need for your product, you might consider printing: "For Lease" signs. Every trip I make to customer sites (primarily north and west Harris county Texas area), I see more and more strip centers with fewer and fewer businesses open. Today, I drove past two newly completed strip centers, spotless concrete parking lots, new clean bricked facades and not a single occupant. Just "For Lease" signs plastered over all of the windows. Presumably, this is part of the so-called "jobless" recovery.

Good luck

I have written to many AZ state senators, representative. Wrote to county Rep. party leader about Ellen Brown's ideas for state owned banks. http://www.webofdebt.com/articles/but_governor.php

NO one responds, the county Rep leader wrote back and said it would become too political. HA LOL So the politicians in SD have more integrity than the leaders in AZ or CA or FL???
I think that if a very large group was formed and attacked the media, state leaders, started sign campaigns then maybe the idea would get somewhere. It certainly would put a crimp in the "big banks" bottom lines. The only flaw is that it is more fractionalized banking...but at least we the people...benefit, not the bankers. I'm not giving up on the idea. I tell everyone I know.

I was Just Laid Off

My employer just cut 450 people, including me. I was not on the list, but I volunteered.

I plan to move closer to my family so we have each other to rely on, and so I can start my liberty promoting business.

As for me?

Can't escape the black. I lost my p/t job during college 6 months after graduating and still haven't had any luck, aside from temporary stuff here and there. And that was almost a year ago.

Good Bye Middle Class

Well if that graphic doesn't paint it all out for you then I dont know what to tell you. Good bye middle class.

I thought the economy was

I thought the economy was getting better?

The economy is not any better.

Foreclosures are still high, unemployment is not improving, the Fed is printing money which will lead to disaster once the current deflationary cycle ends, the government is in debt, many citizens are in debt, United States bonds are propping up the Chinese economy even though China is starting to slow down in purchasing them...get the picture?

The solution is to do as many

geniuses here suggest. Allow even more
immigrants in because they magically create jobs and production Really,
just look at some of the forums about immigration. There are many who feel there are plenty jobs, food, and other
resources. They say we have water and landspace up the yingyang.
They'll even tell you they KNOW they're smart and talk down to you--ya gotta read the responses
