Viral Freedom
Viral Freedom
"Those who expect to reap the benefits of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it."
-- Thomas Paine, The Crisis Number IV
Who would have ever thought that you, just sitting there at your computer, could save the world? In fact, you are the last hope we have so don’t screw it up. Whether you just have a few minutes to check your email on break, or you’re wasting time on a networking site… you’re equally capable and needed. This is a “call to arms” for every citizen with a computer.
Not since the first newspaper in 1605, have “we the people” had such an opportunity as we do today. Even then, the owners of the printing presses were corruptible. This is important to understand while reading further, because since the beginning of the free flow of mass information, there has always been a few people at the top that could be influenced and thus influence the minds of the population at large. One could ask for no more powerful a tool than to control the information of a whole civilization.
When it comes to information… never, in the history of the world have citizens had the access to so much free information as we do right now.
The internet, our last bastion of hope, wields more power than any one thing an average citizen has ever had before our time. Our government already knows this, and is doing everything in their power to change it. Every time I turn on the Main Stream Media (MSM) news stations, I’m regularly watching them doing “damage control” on topics that have spread virally through the internet. Think about that, one of those emails you forwarded, was forwarded, CC’d & BCC’d to so many people in a matter of minutes, or hours that the news was forced to cover the story! Of course, they don’t want the people to know the truth, so they discredit it by saying it’s “on the internet” and make you sounds crazy or stupid for even believing it without trusting them (MSM) to do the research for you.
It’s good to keep in mind that many things that are spread online are both true and false, so doing your own proper research is very important in determining what truth is. Listening to what MSNBC, FOX, CNN or any other news outlet has to say about the issue, does not count as research. Think of them as salesman for the government (or products). Those same salesmen sold you the bailouts and stimulus packages. How well have those worked out for you? The major news networks are no longer a voice for us. Their objectivity is questionable at best.
It’s all about freedom. Sure there’s bad information on the internet, but there’s just as much good information. The beauty is that you have the CHOICE to believe or do more research on the topic to verify it. When it comes to the MSM or government, there’s no arguing.
"A lie told often enough becomes truth" -Vladimir Lenin.
The fact is, our liberty loving, free flow of information days are numbered. The Internet is under attack! But there is a way to fight back, and yes… you don’t even have to lift your lazy ass out of that computer chair! If you are one of the vigilant citizens that know everything that is going on, questions our governments actions as our founding fathers instructed us to do, and you’re “mad as hell and not going to take it anymore”, then the least you can do is the following:
• Compile a list of email addresses or create email “groups” on your email provider’s account. Label it “liberty lovers” or whatever you want. Regularly add new people to your lists. If you’re out somewhere and meet a likeminded individual, ask for their email address (if you give them yours they’re less likely to follow through) and add them to your list. Of all of the suggestions I will make, this is the easiest and most effective. EVRYONE has an email address, and when people sit down to read their emails, they usually have time to do so, and forward them if they agree. IMPORTANT: when you add a lot of emails to a message you’re sending out, be sure to add them in the BCC (BLIND carbon copy) field. That way their emails are not openly displayed for everyone to steal.
• Join facebook or any other popular networking site. Even if you want to do it under a fake name, it’s one of the most effective ways to network and spread the word.
• Create several folders in your bookmarks section of your web browser. Label them the various topics that you feel strongly about (i.e. war, vaccines, guns, taxes etc.) so that every time you come across a great article or any research material on the subject, you can just add it to your bookmark folder and have it readily available for any debates or to inform others.
• Start a blog. There are several free blog hosting providers where you can set up easy user friendly blogs. It’s a good way to either voice your opinion, or store and post all of those valuable sources you have come across while doing research.
• If you’re more hands on and want to meet likeminded individuals and get your “boots on the ground,” search Meetup.com for the cause you champion, and you will be sure to connect with others.

The process of information going viral is what gives us the power that no generation before us has ever had. If we want to preserve this freedom, along with what other freedoms will still have left, then:
"We have a greater moral responsibility to act than those who live in ignorance. Once you become knowledgeable you have an obligation to do something about it." –Dr. Ron Paul
I have the quote above as my signature in my emails. It was only 3 years ago that I had no idea what was going on around us. I received an email with a link to an online video that changed my life. That is all it took. Now, any piece of valuable information I receive, I forward to an estimated 1000+ people. Just think about that for a second. That person may have only forwarded that email to 3 people? Maybe 1000? And just because I decided to read it seriously and research it that day, I now inform approx. 1000+ people myself. We all know how far those stupid Chain emails can go… the least we can do for our fellow man is start creating massive networks of people to keep informed regularly. And all it takes these days are a couple of clicks!
Now is the perfect time to start. You obviously had enough time to read this whole thing, so make a couple of email groups, start compiling information, doing your research, and start forwarding! This email is a perfect one to start with! Forward it to everyone you know! Copy & paste it into your facebook “notes” or blogs! Post it on forums!
It’s not much to ask for the cause of freedom!
