Ryan Sorba interviewed after his outburst - still haven't heard why he attacked
Jeff Frazee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZF1WWZqRB8

Ryan isn't a neo-con, by the way. I worked with him in the leadership institute in CA.
Has anyone heard what in the world Jeff had to do with this?

Hey Sorba, five letters:

Hey Sorba, five letters: D-E-C-A-F. Try some!

What the heck is...

What is go pride?

And what on God's green earth is that idiot rambling about?

He tries to be logical

But fails.

Obviously, non-reproductive individuals are a huge benefit to their families and can greatly improve survival rates of children.

It is normal to have a strong preference, but a mistake to assume that other people share it, as if your feelings are the only ones that count.

IMissLiberty

this video needs to be shown

to those attention grabbing whores who claimed to be gay and attacked ron during his 08 campaign by attempting to smear him and his supporters as homophobic.. well, i'm under the impression that most who booed this speaker were ron paul supporters according to one of the news blog on the cpac event, so this should clear things up.

"Attention grabbing whores"

"Attention grabbing whores" gives the sex workers of the world a bad name. You should just call this brand of idiot a "Jeff Sorba".

We have a large forum or platform

Why would anyone take it upon themself to undo the forum..For straining at a knat.
Gays have been around since time began..We know the ethics..They have the same rights under the Constitution as anyonelse..Marrage is an institution not a right: for anyone ..Gov't promotes ideals & society rules ..Only a society can repudiate or defend any such thing as gay marrage..It has nothing to do with a right..
Our gov't has chosen in the past to promote by tax incentive & benefits the institution of marrage ,being defined as between a man & a woman..There is good reason to promote such an institution..We create more good Americans that learn American values..
Homosexuality is a personal thing..I do not force my personal things on others , I give others a wide birth..They do not have to accept my antics or change their behavior to suit mine ..This is the American way ..You do your thing & you let me do mine..The two do not have to meet..What gays are asking for is for me to be forced to accept their lifestyle ..I don't force them to accept my lifestyle & I expect the same respect from them..
Your life is none of my business & please do not ask me to change my life to accomodate your fetish..
We live together & I do not need to know your lifestyle as long as it does no offence to me..

You have gay-fearing

You have gay-fearing boltheads like this Sorba moron, then there are militant gay activists and organizations. I guess the militant gays are forced into existance due to the anti-gay vitriol. Only makes sense, dontcha think? People want to be left alone and live no matter what their beliefs or genetic predisposition. Live and let live.

I think it s very important to welcome gay and lesbians

To the freedom movement. The fact is I do not agree because I do not understand the feelings that would lead another to seek out a sexual relationship with the same sex. What we do not understand often scares us, but so far as I can tell it is an individuals choice and none of my business. I hope any and all of our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters feel that they can join the liberty movement due to the fact that the left and right has failed them. I have never seen or heard of the gentleman that spoke, but his attitude towards other highlights intollerance of others choices, which is unacceptable to me at this point in my life. He tries to take the moral high ground, but it is obvious that this individual has issues, and would not surprise me if he eventually seeks help for chrinic masterbation.... just my opinion

Always remember:
"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." ~ Samuel Adams

Stay IRATE, remain TIRELESS, and set those BRUSH FIRES everywhere you go and in all you do!

They are welcome

But this platform is not about the homosexuality arguement.

Young Americans for freedom?

Young Americans for freedom? Who's freedom?

Apparently no one Sorba the Geek

disapproves of....

What a toolbag!

This guy uses the term "intelligent reproduction" to justify man and woman only, as though intelligence equals popping out another baby every time we participate in sexual activities.
Real intelligent reproduction would have the capacity to increase, decrease or stabilize reproduction, in accordance to overall sustainability (whatever that means), through a sub-conscious or unexplainable flowering of desires and behaviors within the species.
Often very misunderstood until the complete flower is formed.

That's me!

I'm the one in this video that points at Sorba and tells him to "sit down!" He stupidly replies to me that I need to sit down, even though I was already sitting. What a fool.. spewing his hatred.

lol

That's like telling someone, "Shut your mouth when you're talking to me!"

Why is this front page?

Need we slow for the trainwreck?

what a sore, miserable loser.

what a sore, miserable loser. i'm glad it's none of this guy's business what anyone else does with their own lives while he sits shirtless drinking red bull behind the scenes.

Honestly

I think he doth protest to much.

If you know what I mean.

very proud to be associated with These guys

Screw the "you are facists"

As terrible as this was..

this actually may be a good thing for CPAC and the liberty movement, honestly. The reaction of the majority of the crowd was something you probably wouldn't have seen at CPAC just a few years ago. It shows that the overwhelming majority of the new generation of conservatives are leaning more towards libertarian ideals, and realize that liberty and freedom don't draw a line at sexual preference, and that individual liberties are for ALL! It shows the influence we are having. They know true believers in liberty when they see them, and they saw right through Sorba the second he opened his mouth. Paul put it right, true believers in liberty see that freedom doesn't "only come in pieces" like Sorba's interpretation..

Excellent point

This is a link to an article on a very liberal political blog. The author makes a good point, worth checking out.

For an informed citizenry, individuals must discard the television set in favor of the acquisition of information via either books and/or the internet. An uneducated populous will remain in ignorance and thus continue to suffer the sharp ax of tyranny.

God bless gay men...more

God bless gay men...more women for me!

I've never heard that take

I've never heard that take before, touche!

What A Jackass

His argument was the same argument that the Europeans used to justify their dominance to native Africans and Americans. That is disgusting. I think if I met this guy, I'd be hard-pressed to avoid putting him in his place.

Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.

The Jackass' argument was not bad

I'm an ardent RP supporter and think Sorba is a jackass. However, his argument wasn't bad. Under the common law that existed during the time of the founding fathers, virtually no one would have thought homosexuality was acceptable or part of liberty any more than the murder of one's self via assisted suicide.

Sorba's problem is that he's just an idiot for "condemning" CPAC. That wasn't the appropriate forum. He should have not done that but given a speech. YAF is going by the wayside.

"Be brief, be pointed, let your matter stand lucid in order, solid and at hand; spend not your words on trifles but condense; strike with the mass of thought, not drops of sense; press to the close with vigor, once begun, and leave . . . ."

"Under the common law that

"Under the common law that existed during the time of the founding fathers, virtually no one would have thought homosexuality was acceptable or part of liberty"

Let's be fair though. I don't have any numbers in front of me but I think it's safe to say the percentage of homosexuals at the time was much smaller than it is now. Sorba is not referencing common law. You're making a different argument. There's a difference between acceptable and unlawful.

slavery was also acceptable during the time of he founders

His argument doesn't hold water. In Fact, the Ancient Greeks and Romans - the first Democracies and republics accepted this behavior.

The Disdain for Gays seems to come from certain religions - the old testament in Christianity. I don't think Jesus ever talked about it.

Clearly being gay seems common throughout time.

You're mixing your history

I never said that other societies didn't accept it. But since you brought up Rome, then you know that Rome fell because of acceptance of immoral behavior---or at least that's what the atheist Edward Gibbon thought in his seminal work.

To boot, Jesus did talk about fornication and it was clear that it was a matter of the heart. He never condoned immoral behavior.

So, you appear to take issue with the founding fathers and side instead, with the Euros or the rest of the new world order?

"Be brief, be pointed, let your matter stand lucid in order, solid and at hand; spend not your words on trifles but condense; strike with the mass of thought, not drops of sense; press to the close with vigor, once begun, and leave . . . ."

Well the point

Is that common law at the time of the founders has nothing to do with rights from the creator - the right to pursue happiness as long as it doesn't injure another. Blacks were not allowed these rights by the founders.

The other point was that the judgement that gay sex was immoral comes from the judeo-Christian ethic, and I argue this is mostly a jewish perspective, since Jesus does not specifically mention it - unless you lump it in with fornication (which heterosexuals do all the time, too )some other cultures did not find it offensive. - so, it is not at all un-natural for someone to be gay, and since the behavior does not pick my pocket or break my leg, it seems to be OK with some of the founders anyway.

BTW, Islamist are violently opposed to any form of gay rights. Perhaps Sorba should join up with them.

What any of that has to do with the NWO I can't imagine
