Ron Paul in 2012? Maybe.

About a year ago, speculation began to surface about a Ron Paul run in 2012. Dr. Paul himself was non-committal; and he made a telling point: nobody knows what the world will be like 2 years from now. That point is still valid.

So long as the CFR and the entrenched 'made' politicians are running the GOP and the Democrat party, Ron Paul has only a slightly better chance at a 2012 run than he did in 2008. And, if we believe what he said, he has no plans to abandon the republican party for a 3rd party run. Wise.

We are witnessing the rapid deterioration of the U.S. Unemployment continues to grow unchecked; the relations between China and the U.S. are quite strained over this Taiwan/T-Bill stand-off; the wars in the MidEast continue to drain our resources; and the dollar, the markets, and the banks are all doomed to collapse at some point. The USA is broke and in trouble.

The only hope for us and Ron Paul, is that the citizenry becomes outraged and takes to the streets; that the federal politicians no longer have influence over the states and local governments; that the inevitable collapse of various sectors do not affect the elections. It is also to be hoped that the Diebold voting machines are no longer used.

Many on this site have stated that anarchy would be better than the system we currently have. I think we are moving toward anarchy and chaos, and are well on the path. Ron Paul is, and has been, our last best hope; and more and more people are waking up to the truth of his message. Let's hope he has a real chance to get elected.

I am a precinct committeeman in Arizona and attended the Maricopa County Republican Party Convention. While standing in line to register, I struck up a conversation with another attendee who told me some confidential information he learned as a driver of the car carrying Dr. Paul when he last came to Phoenix for the Freedom Summit.
He told me he overheard a conversation Dr. Paul had on his cell phone with someone when he said that he would run if his wife's health will permit it.
You know what you have to do. I know many of us pray for the Paul family daily, but we must pray even harder for Carol's health and thereby the health of the r3volution and Dr. Paul's campaign!
May God hear our prayer's and answer them...

I think one last run in 2012 would be the crown jewel in Ron Paul's libertarian crown.

Think about how many people he has woken up from their intellectual slumber. Remember that feeling when you first starting seeing the world for what it really is?

So long as we continue to lead with paranoid fantasies about organizations like the CFR secretly running the world, we don't stand a chance. We have to have the integrity and intelligence to face reality as it is, in all its myriad complications, rather than boil things down into easily digestible bits of comfortable unreality. Conspiracy culture is a drag on our movement and destructive to progress toward liberty.

Pblumel, if you don't understand that there is a not-so-secret conspiracy seeking to destroy our liberties, then you are in the dark, just as Glen, Rush, Hannity, and maybe even Bush and Obama are. YOU are an unwitting "enemy" until you understand this.

Half the state department, and many presidents and vice presidents are/ have been CFR members. The CFR is a front for the one-worlders.

There are hundreds of books PROVING the agenda of the one world government elites. Obviously they CONSPIRE to make it happen. Obviously, they control the media.

But this is a good point, that often gets overlooked. If one does NOT understand there is an agenda of world elites (the ruling oligarchy), then you CANNOT understand modern-day politics. You simply cannot.

So, if you're willing, go read the short book, "The Naked Capitalist." You will be convinced.

Video will no doubt be up soon, but at last night’s Liberty Forum (sponsored by Campaign for Liberty) at CPAC, I had the privilege as emcee to ask Ron Paul the first question during the audience Q&A. I figured I wouldn’t ask if he was planning to run in 2012, because he’d (understandably) evade that question.

I ticked off a few of the good results of the 2008 presidential campaign: the Federal Reserve is now a subject of debate for practically the first time ever, it’s possible now to propose that our government’s foreign policy might be a teensy-weensy bit not-conservative, and Austrian economics is enjoying its greatest surge in interest since Hayek won the Nobel Prize.

Likewise, we now have more people interested in these ideas than ever before, and another effort could — who knows — triple our numbers.

Now granting how physically and mentally taxing such a campaign is, my question, Congressman Paul, is this: can you name for us any good reasons not to run?
