Restricting free speech, heh? Maybe it is you who needs a time-out.

Everyday we go out into the real world and meet with people of differing backgrounds and opinions. How many of us have run into people that are so afraid that they piss themselves at the thought of abandoning our Mideast misadventures?

Or people who consider the 911 Commission Report to be the final word for war unending

Or people who think government can do no right at home but can do no wrongs to our neighbors?

Let the debates begin! Let the ideas stand on their own merits. Let fear, uncertainty and despair be put into perspective. Often when debating in the real world, man to man, I have seen their arguments here at DP, and have discovered counter-arguments I can stand behind.

My father used to troll for walleye in the St. Clair River. You hang you bait in the water and steer you boat slowly over where the fish are, you hope. Is the troll to blame or does the fish have some responsibility? Fresh fish!

Also consider other motivations for creating a new account. More than one poster here has abandoned their old ways, and have turned over a new leaf. Others come from other sites where their posts were respected and their ideas may have even been welcomed. (I see have seen a few of experienced C4L posters here.)

The key question is, Can a troll learn new ideas? By definition the answer is no. But your labeling them as trolls ignores the individual at the keyboard.

Do we support their right to speak? Are our the ideas so weak or meek that they they must be protected from verbal attack with censorship?

new members should be allowed to comment, the only thing this type of rule does is save you some time from checking out a posters history.

It does take a bit more effort, to judge each person by their ideas and I supose the membership time ( I love how most hte anti 9/11 posts seem to come from 2monthers or 1 weekers) thats how I do it.

This was a very statist comment, just letting you know. This kind of thinking is completely opposite liberty.

Free your mind, let things happen. Order comes through liberty, not through a select group of individuals (which is completely opposite the normal line of thinking, of course).

And another thing (because the very idea proposed in this thread angers me), whose viewpoint do you think you are pushing? All should be welcomed here as long as they do not incite others or spam up the forum.
