MOLON LABE!! - There is already a book about such a situation
Personally I think every Ron Paul supporter should read the book Molon Labe by "Boston T Party" (pen name)
He lays out a step by step program for several thousand freedom seeking individuals retaking a state politically and legally for the interests of freedom, and although the book is fiction, it is highly integrated into what is currently going on in today's society.
The state in question is Wyoming, which is chosen by an exhaustive review process contained within the book for its overall liberty mindset, natural resources, population, demographics, geography, etc..etc..etc..
Here is the excerpt from Amazon.com on the book.
Molon Labe at Amazon
After a decade of retaking their stolen freedoms, the people of Wyoming (many of them newcomers) are forced to finally confront their jealous masters in the U.S. Government. Can a lone, courageous state successfully resist federal tyranny, or has the Bill of Rights been reduced to a myth? Can an allegedly free people act free, or is our liberty just a 4th of July farce?
These issues weigh heavily on the shoulders of Governor James Wayne Preston, a decorated Desert Storm Marine helo pilot. Elected in 2014 on the Laissez-Faire Party ticket, he enjoys nearly full support of the legislature to return Wyoming to a long-lost era of liberty. But how far can he and the people of his state go before Washington, D.C. feels compelled to act? Will Wyoming's free and independent course reach actual secession? Will President Melvin Connor suppress the maverick Western state with federal troops? Will anybody come to Wyoming's aid?
Molon Labe! is a fictional account of a real-world blueprint for a free state initiative focused on Wyoming. If enough freedom-loving individuals will relocate there under a useful pattern, they can "liberate" the Cowboy State on many levels. In Wyoming we could truly enjoy our rights of gun ownership, privacy, schooling, health and diet, unrestricted travel, and property. Boston shows us how it actually can be done!

We should move to Switzerland
We should move to Switzerland... they were neutral and staying out of other countries' business before the United States even existed. When is the last time someone picked a fight with them? According to legend, in his hayday Hitler once threatened to send a in a million German soldiers to invade them (their population was only 500,000 at the time) and the Swiss government responded that every Swiss would simply fire twice... Hitler backed down. That's what I'm talkin about!

anti-Real ID law but will they cry "uncle" when the feds start turning the screws? With S 1959 on the horizon why hasn't some state already seceded from the union?
Alaska
Don't kid yourselves, guys ---- Alaska is probably the BIGGEST big-government state in the Union! I've lived here for 11 years now (originally from Michigan), and the average voter here is a complete government-mony-whoring idiot who has not conception of economic reality. Anchorage is not much less liberal than San Francisco, and "we" keep re-electing the most corrput congressman (Don Young) and senator-for-life (Ted Stevens) in the nation. Politics (mainly Republican) are corrupt beyond belief, and again, the average voter not only does not care, but wholeheartedly supports it all as long as these bastards "bring home the bacon".
No, Alaska is NOT a libertarian paradise, far from it. Sometimes I daydream about moving to New Hampshire, but then knowing all those Taxachusetts Uber-libs have thoroughly infected it makes me realize that the grass is just as greener here --- or just as brown.
My friend in Alaska begs to differ.
He lives near Anchorage and says most people around there have fairly libertarian beliefs. I guess it depends on what area you live in. Here in CA most people are liberals, but where I live a good portion are Republicans. I live a mile from the capital. So yea it just depends on where you live.
BTW, I heard this is true: in Alaska I hear you can grow your own marijuana in your own home (up to 4oz) but only for personal use.
About the "Matanuska Thunder"
Well, the jury (er, courts) are still up in the air on that one. It was decriminalized from the 1970's unti 1990, when it was made illegal as in other states. But then three or four years ago the state supreme court said that it was not illegal in small quantities, upholding the older law, but the police still enforce things as if it were illegal in any amount. It's all a big confused mess right now. But if you happen to come up, I wouldn't take any chances with it, any more than you would in any other state.
We did have a statewide ballot inititative to decriminalize pot back in 2004, and it lost, 58% to 42%. However, it was badly written, and had it been better written and less complex, many people think it would have passed. So maybe there is still hope? But another initiative (in Anchorage) to eliminate a recent "public places" smoking ban lost last year, 70% to 30%. It still steams me, and I don't even smoke!

If Ron Paul doesn't win, and America continues down the road of one world government I think I know where I'll be headed.
It would be easier that way
at least, for a while.
But years from now,
when you're dying in your bed,
would you give all of the years
from now until then,
