I think the Fei standard would be good

It goes with the land that it sits on and it takes a big boat to move,It wont fit in your pocket,Status is where it's at.

"They used to come get you and lock you up because you were insane, Now they come get you and lock you up because you are sane"

From the article

"Imagine now if the gold standard were in operation today. The federal government would be scrambling to balance its budget in the midst of recession, cutting spending and raising taxes. Instead of pumping money into the economy, the Federal Reserve would be sucking money out. Priority 1 would not be creating and saving jobs, but preserving the nation's gold hoard."

sounds like a pretty good idea if you ask me

haha

great find,

somebody asked what to do with the ronpaulin2012.com address he bought. I suggest, just make an Ron Paul advertisement page completly with statements of neocons.
They are so ridicoulous that every sane mind must see that they are actually supportive of Ron Paul again.

Frum is with American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and of course, a lover of war.

Did you happen to hear John Bolton's (senior fellow at AEI) speech at CPAC?

He mentioned nuking Chicago!

Although Paul has said that a

Although Paul has said that a gold standard would likely be better than the current system, Paul actually pushes a commodities standard (which includes gold); however, he also said, on occasion, that *today* the gold supply is too controlled by private parties to be the best standard.

This is simply untrue!

Ron Paul has NEVER said nor even implied the idea that gold is "too controlled by private parties today" to the best of my knowledge, a claim which would astonish me, as it would directly contradict everything else I have ever heard him say on the subject of gold and "hard money", which is a great deal. I challenge you to produce any evidence for this statement!

Ron Paul does not "push" ANY kind of monetary standard, believing that individual choices in the free market should determine what will and will not be used as money. He has, however, argued that gold has traditionally provided a VASTLY more stable and more honest monetary standard than unbacked fiat currencies forced upon the public by coercive governmental legal tender laws.

I explained Dr. Paul's "gold standard" to David Frum.

He and I got into a discussion before, and I corrected him on what Dr. Paul wanted. After I explained it, he seemed to understand that Dr. Paul wanted the market to decide what money is, not a pseudo-gold standard imposed by government. That he's making a strawman argument like this again is disappointing.
