I'm a brand new USA citizen and a proud Ron Paul supporter
Submitted by dhashd on Mon, 12/10/2007 - 23:07I've finally got the citizenship 10 days ago, registered to vote and ready to elect Dr Ron Paul as president of the USA.
I was born in Romania and I lived there under the communists. And I know how it is to have no freedom. And I don't want to live that again. This is why I support dr Paul.
When I hear this so called "patriot" proclaiming that "we have to give up freedom for security" I remember what I lived in the past. They have no idea what it is to live without freedom.
BTW, I read somewhere on the internet a great idea for an add to run in the big states, where are a lot of first generation Americans like myself:
I'm a Romanian-American and I support Ron Paul.
I'm a German-American and support Ron Paul.
I'm a Polish-American and support Ron Paul.
...and so on.
I think that it will have a big impact.

I know some American Romanians in Houston and Phoenix and they stick together like nothing I have ever seen. So hopefully you can persuade them for Ron Paul if they are not already with us. I don't know. Glad you are here--especially since you are sooooo smart.

citizen is so great for you? Seriously, did you come from a country that the people were so oppressed? I am glad to hear that you love being here, but are you willing to give your freedom, for some security? We have been a free nation for the most part, but I will say for the last 30 years our country has gone to shit, and I am thinking you think it is great because you have come from a country that is 10 times worse than what our country is now becoming. Remember folks we are free, we are human, and no government in this entire universe is going to dictate what we can, or cannot do unless we let them, and give that power to them.

If I remember it properly, Marx said something like "Freedom is an accepted necessity". It is chillingly close to Giuliani's notion of Liberty.
I think the video you are suggesting would be great. But I would love it if each XXX-American said in his/her tongue: I am an American and I am going to vote for Ron Paul". Starting perhaps with an Aussie or New Zealander, so the first utterance was in English.
I thank God that there are still
