CPAC victory scaring them ALL!

I was just listening to NPR and they were discussing CPAC and Ron's win. The guest journalist was David Weigel, a man who has been very discouraging of Dr. Paul in the past from [T]reason Magazine.

It was nothing but a smear-fest. Terry Gross, the host of Fresh Air and this Mr. Weigel tried everything they could to make Ron look crazy and even claimed that the "real" conservatives were now uniting to discourage Ron's success.

I could not help but laugh. The establishment is crumbling before our eyes!

Its hilarious because those people just can't get out of the left right prism (or should I say prison).

have made mountains out of molehills for the most part. They disagree with Ron on abortion (same at Cato Institute) and feel they must repudiate him so as not to be identified with him.

I suppose there could be an element of fear, but frankly most people deride whatever/whoever they do not identify with or understand. Perhaps it begins with a smear campaign as an attempt to make sense of it. When the 'thing' that is in perceived opposition reflects reality better than the "accepted" view of the world, then paradigms shift.
