It's still "We the People!" Right?Submitted by dexterszyd on Fri, 02/26/2010 - 11:15
How did we get here? Why did it take so long? How do we get back?
Incrementalism is a method of working by adding to a project using many small, incremental changes instead of a few (extensively planned) large jumps.
That is how we got here, why it took so long and most importantly how we will start to get back.
Ron Paul has spoken about this. He says this today about health care and when people ask "do you think it will pass?" he always points out that we are incrementalist and will get some form of this government health care. It is the Macro result that we all see.
I lay this out to challenge all of us to think about what we are doing in these terms. More specifically, here is what I see and hear from my brothers and sisters....
-Medina is not for 9/11 truth
-Peter Schiff would attack Iran
-Rand Paul supports the Afgan War
-Ron Paul and C4L threw us under the bus.(Joe Buck)
-Revolution Right Now!
Each of these issues are obviously a concern for most of us but lets step back and weight the scale.
-Debra Media stands for limited government. She is for strong border defense, private property rights, core constitutional values and state rights.
-Peter Schiff is of the Austrian School of economics and practices sound money principles. Peter Schiff stands for limited constitutional government. He is a supporter of private property and state rights.
-Rand Paul is a chip off the ol'e block. State Rights, strong constitutionalists, private property, sound money, elimination of government in the private sector, against undeclared wars.
- Ron Paul (I think we all have about 30 years and running on his credentials)If I need to explain his stance on non interventionism , sound money, and constitutional government then (Houston we have a problem)
-Revolution Now! is simply going to get us all killed.
We have a chance to take back government. We can take it back incrementally.
Imagine where we are today. Now imagine all these socialist laws and practices dumped on this country in a 6 month span....You would have complete and utter chaos and resistance.
Now Imagine the conversion to 100% Constitutional government in a 6 month span. You would have complete and utter chaos and resistance.
Let's be practical. We have an opportunity to support a good field of good candidates that can help "incrementally" change the direction of this country. You don't have to agree 100% with 100% of all their views.
If that were the case we have some real basic and fundamental challenges to resolve as a movement because I am not with those who are after that type
of All or nothing logic and am willing to bet I am not the only one.
I really don't want to take away from my above statements and make this a hit piece but I must site this next statement as a glaring example.
Alex Jones is an all or nothing influential but reckless figure in Texas. His antics just may divide us enough to cost the best chance we have at a what some would say 98% candidate. For the sake of what could be, please reject Alexism.
I know we can incrementally change government in half the time. It takes patience, persistence, wisdom, and a good teacher (wink wink)
It's still "We the People Right!"
