CNN's Jack Cafferty Interviews Ron Paul 2/27/10

And thanks to IPSecure for finding the entire 5:42 interview!

CNN's Jack Cafferty hosted a Special on Friday and interviewed Ron Paul. Searched for a YT but couldn't find one. Maybe someone else will have better luck at finding this interview. It was one of the best. Jack seemed to genuinely like Dr. Paul.

Anyway Jack said, more people should be listening to Ron Paul, because he knows what he is talking about. Seems to want him to run for president again.

Appears Jack is a Ron Paul fan.

Here is an older YT from 2007 where Jack talks about Ron.

Thanks to sharpsteve for finding the interview link:

in the end of days

many shall be decieved, even the very elect.

Go ROn Go ROn

Go ROn Go ROn

It's certainly not only the young people.

Please, Dr. Paul it's not just the "young people"

Please, Dr. Paul it's not just the "young people" at the universities!

I know about 2 dozen new converts to your message and they range from 25 to 60 years of age.

Maybe he keeps focusing on

Maybe he keeps focusing on the "young people" because the current GOP has almost no influence with the young. They just look like a bunch of failures and whiners.

I was working with some of

I was working with some of the people who founded SIL and the Libertarian Party (though not working specifically on that) back in the '60s and '70s. There were a FEW who got it even then. And worked hard on it.

And many finally gave up and went on with making a personal life.

What Ron's candidacy did (combined with the Internet's break in the media's wall of silence) is show us that it was possible to be successful in politics DESPITE being honest and pro-liberty.

And it reminded us of the principled counterarguments to the neocon memes we'd been bombarded with for decades. Especially: How bailing out of a bait-and-switch war was not just the moral and constitutional thing to do but also tactically, strategically, and geopolitically advantageous for the US and its people.

But further, the response to his campaign showed that the memes of freedom still had legs. The new generation at the "young warrior" stage showed us that they GET IT. THEY're willing and able to put their time, money, and talent into increasing freedom.

It was re-invigorating. So we're back in the fray.

Maybe we still CAN get to freedom in our lifetime. And if not, we finally believe we CAN make a difference for the generations who got started later and those still to come.

I speak as a "boomer". But the generations between us and the new young turks have their own story to tell - and many of them are coming onboard as well. The media has tried to cut us apart by age and experience, the better to rule us. But we are not fooled. We see that while we're different in detail we all have the the love of freedom in common (along with the willingness to embrace its flip side - letting other people do things THEY want to do). And people of all ages have things to contribute to this fight.

It's not "us and them" fighting this fight. It's "We". We as individuals are not defined by when we were born. Freedom is timeless and ageless.

Very nice

Napolitano: "We need Ron Paul now!"

He's catching on

I'm telling ya

Napolitano: "We need Ron Paul now!"

Finally, he's a "PAULER" !!!!! YES!!!!!

Wow, that's the FIRST time I've ever heard Cafferty come right out and POINT BLANK just say what he believes!!

THAT was great!!!!!!

Joη's picture

Now it makes sense why this interview was buried on CNN

Nobody wants Dr. Paul to run for president, can't even let them hear it!

"You underestimate the character of man." | "So be off now, and set about it." | Up for a game?

Cafferty gets positive feedback when he has Dr. Paul on

for an interview and he gets positive feedback when he puts forth the good questions that allow Dr. Paul's message to come out. That's good to see. I suspect that it's due in no small part to people here sending those encouraging notes to folks like Cafferty. The more good face time and quality Q & A time Dr. Paul gets, the better it is for all of us and the like-minded candidates that we support. Very encouraging.

"An economy built on fiat money is a society on its way to ashes."

Don't fall into the same old

Don't fall into the same old pattern of thinking someone is a huge Ron Paul fan if they give him a little positive coverage once or twice. Cafferty has made a series of cutting remarks about Dr. Paul before. I see no reason to think things are different now.

Remember that, as our message

Remember that, as our message gets out, it's not just the faceless masses that change their ideas. It happens to people in public places, too. Always consider the possibility that someone with media access who ONCE dumped on Ron may have changed his mind.

And when they get something right the thing to do is not to grumble about their past "crimes". It's to be HAPPY they finally got it and TELL them so. It lets them know that they're on the right track, that this new idea is not weird, that they're NOT ALONE, that this is the way to make friends and influence people.

It's like teaching a cat to use the cat box: Who cares how many times he got it wrong and used the laundry basket? When he gets it right - even if it happened because you picked him up when you finally caught him about to wet the laundry, tumbled him gently through the air while grumbling at him, and plunked him into the box - you tell him he's suddenly a GREAT cat, a WONDERFUL cat, the PARAGON of cats, to BE IN THE CAT BOX when he's about to do his thing. THEN he knows what gets approval. B-) (Do it that way and even an adult cat can get it in one.)

There are lots of chunks of the ideas of freedom. It may be a while before any given person gets them all. But whenever someone internalizes one of them and runs with it, it's time for applause and maybe a brass band.

Not only that: If they think Ron is smart on ONE subject they'll be more willing to listen to him on others. Doing otherwise produces cognitive dissonance, making them uncomfortable. ("How can he be so brilliant on THIS subject and dumb on THAT one. Maybe there's something I'm missing...")

That was a nice interview :)

Actually, Jack has been

Actually, Jack has been giving fair coverage of Ron Paul ever since the primary election for President. It was a suprise that CNN let him go as far as he did with this interview, refreshing no doubt.

Nice interview !

Wow on CNN no less!

As we know, most reporters

pretty much ride the wave of popular sentiment, but our good Dr. Ron Paul has been dead on with his assessment of government largess (lard-ass) for so long, he's winning more all the time. Last election, all the established GOP hacks lined up to kick Dr. Paul in the behind, and it was easy to convince the willy nilly press to go along for the ride, but maybe this nice guy will finish first (eventually).

That's what I've been saying for months - while getting laughed at - about the MSM. They are, in the end, businesses selling a product. Unless they get major bailouts from the government, the free market will beat them black and blue with online news (user-selected content instead of spoon fed).

Look at the ad revenues the MSM has been losing over the past few years. Amazing.

I love the market :) And I love the fact that the MSM has no choice but to embrace the revolution or die fighting against the tsunami with a lifeboat and a couple of oars.

Didn't Cafferty have his own

Didn't Cafferty have his own daily show on CNN? Wasn't it bumped to make way for Anderson Cooper?

Sure wish CNN would give Jack back his daily hour.

Awesome! I wonder...

did Cafferty vote for Paul in his State's primary? I'd bet on it. And if his name were on the general election ballot, I'd bet he would have pulled the lever for Paul too regardless of party. We need more Jack Cafferty's in the media.

Jack is a friend

His heart is in the right place and it shows. What he said was sincere and what he wished he could have said during the campaign. Don't ya all remember the infamous CNN gag order?

I have more hope today for true freedom being enjoyed by a living generation than I have ever had before. The question is are we willing to endure the fatigue of courageous vigilance in such dark times? I think we are. There is a great illustration Ron Paul used during the Campaign at a stop in SLC Utah, how the darker it gets the more bright a "wee candle" becomes. Our movement is becoming a beacon of light in American politics, that there is an ALTERNATIVE to just another brand of tyranny. I am optimistic that we are seeing the beginning of a renaissance the likes of which the world have never seen.

Where did my comments go

very strange. I had left a couple comments and now they have been removed. The other day one of my post was removed also. I posted the CNN link and then later bumped and asked for embed of the youtube video when it showed up.

I remember your post on the CNN link and my reply thanking you. Now they're both gone.

Also, I have no idea who posted the YT video and link to my forum topic??? And who was thanking IPSecure for the YT link, because it wasn't me.

While it's great to have this info available, I wish the person making these changes would identify themselves.

watch this from 08:

but only when Ron Paul is on them.

Yeah, that really pissed me off when I first saw this.

Thanks Jim; I've been looking for this particular clip for two days now.

I remember this soooooooooo well!

This is when I stopped watching Jack Cafferty.

Yes, he'll stab him in the back at the appropriate time.

I didn't like that snide remark about RP's campaign contributions.
