Yesterday, I did my taxes
Submitted by BFrank on Sun, 02/28/2010 - 14:58
Even after having 8800 withheld by the IRS, I still have to pay another 2300 on my Federal. On my state of South Carolina, they withheld 3302 and I still have to send them 341.
I know many people that are "getting back" $4000-$8000.
They havent put that much money in so they are not "getting back" that much, they are taking it from people like me!
It is no wonder how some can go off the deepend over taxes, I am pretty upset myself!

Why I ask if you're an "Employee"

It takes a little nudging on your withholding to figure
out what'll get you squared away when tax day comes.
Once you start getting deductions for kids and mortgage interest, the bill goes down a little.
It's the small business owners who really get fumed. It's easier for employees to hold their breath on the concept of withholding, but small business owners can't kid themselves about whose money that was to begin with.
Defend Liberty!
I did
1 kid, morgage interest, business expenses, the works and still!

Be thankful.
I don't want to do ours this year. Last year we paid in almost 18,000. After doing taxes we owed another 3,000. My wife and I don't earn over 160,000 in a very good year (bonuses when lucky). This is wrong. Two years ago we paid in 36,000 and owed another 4,000. I have to ask why I work.
You want to talk about theft. I have been raped by this corrupt government. It is hopefully coming to an end soon. No offense intended but, the sooner everything fails the better. I am tired of these A%^holes stealing from me.

I guess
I do have to be thankful that Im not raped as bad as you!

Redistribution of Wealth
I paid $83 in federal taxes and got back $4386.00. What a scam. I wish Americans would wake up to the screwing we are getting.
wow
that is how both my brothers are. Earned income credit should be called UNEARNED INCOME CREDIT!
Freedom is NOT free!
Are you an "Employee" as
Are you an "Employee" as defined in the tax code??

(c) Employee
For purposes of this chapter, the term “employee” includes an officer, employee, or elected official of the United States, a State, or any political subdivision thereof, or the District of Columbia, or any agency or instrumentality of any one or more of the foregoing. The term “employee” also includes an officer of a corporation.
dont be fooled by the word "includes"...it means ONLY when used in law. Which is why they add "also includes an officer of a corporation"...clearly an officer of a corporation would be an 'employee' of a corporation, so why did they add "also includes"? because they were listing something in addition to their other exclusive list.
Also note that the internal revenue code uses "includes, but is not limited to" 426 times. Why do they add "is not limited to?", because, without it, it IS limited to!
