Just reported by Lauren Dunnaway on Medina's facebook about two hours ago:
Medina showed up at a campaign event surrounded by three body guards. Can anybody confirm or add to this?
If true, this new development could stem from either threats against Medina or knowledge that she is poised to upset the plans of powerful establishment interests who might take extreme measures to end her campaign.

That is a danger not just for the runoff or the general election but afterward so the lieutenant governor could take over. I must admit that I've paid zero attention to who might end up in that office.

Curiosity finally got the best of my fear of appearing ignorant.
I searched online till I found what newly detected ultra-top-secret elite organization that's controlling everything and everybody is represented by the letters PTB. I now am privy to name of this shadowy, all-powerful group: Powers That Be :-)

The PTB have enormous resources and intellegence
at their disposal. They carefully weigh all the data before doing something drastic that could create blow back.
I think RP has been very careful and shrewd to gradually transition himself into his current position. They know if something happened to him there would be a public outrage, so to a large extent his notoriety now protects him.
Of course like all humans, they do make mistakes in judgment. The origial plan was to take another 20-30 years to establish world dominance through a one world banking system, however since the emerging markets took off much faster than they planned, they had to rush things, (911) and with the backlash of outrage they are beginning to wonder if they went too far too fast.
Truthers ?
You haven't learned a thing have you. The only people afraid of Debra Medina are:
1. People guilty of criminal wrongdoing with and around a myriad of Texas agencies, the governors office or the legislature or
2. People who stand to lose money from or through one of a myriad of crooked, criminal enterprises involving a state agency, the governors office, the legislature.
Truthers aren't getting PAID, and hopefully they're not guilty of any criminal wrongdoing involving state govt.
Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

deb was kept in a different room until the debate turned to her against the rinky dink tina.
there were at least three guys that made themselves known to the audience who they were and what they were doing.
i seriously doubt that there were none in plain clothes and taking it easy sittig down.
plus.....you ARE in texas.....and even though it's a church......

90% of people I talk to are fully aware of the controversy and are behind Debra.
I had a guy tell me I could not put up a Medina sign on his property last night; but he said he really liked Debra a lot and that he was going to vote for her.
Even people who are a-political are starting to get behind her, even those that hate political signs.

As a former candidate
who couldn't afford polling I know how easy it is to start believing, in the absence of any good data, that you are going to win. Sound internal polling would be a far better indicator than anecdotal evidence, but without it all too many begin believing in cherry-picked anecdotal evidence.
Truth is, we don't know how all those new voters are voting. The only thing we've got are some polls others have taken showing recent percentages of 16% and 20% for Debra. If prior election trends hold, that support level may drop due to a "can't win" perception, which is why I am projecting her to win around 12.5%. That's not what I'm hoping for or working for. I hope and pray for her to top Hutchison and make the runoff.

I just came back from a Medina rally in Coriscana, Texas and when it was over and she was hustled away I made the comment to my friend that for sure the two
"Black Suits" with her were body guards. I've been to six different rallys for Debra and the first ones she would drive up by her self come in, speak, and then leave by herself. This was the first one that I've seen the "Black Suits" with her. She looked a lot more intense herself.

It is so awesome. Perhaps the idea was a Harris supporter, but Harris is very involved and it is soooo neat. Also super fantastic is the calling that the Kokesh camp is doing.
And frankly, all the support outside of Texas is so very encouraging. I love every message outside of Texas. I think people outside of Texas can call if they have that desire.

I'm frankly glad she has some protection. I've been less worried about violence than someone slipping her a drug so she starts tripping out in a stump speech and gets disgraced in the media. I hope they're watching for that sort of thing.
