Madoff Exposer Harry Markopolos on King World News: 'No One Would Listen'

Eric King has an amazing, exclusive interview with Madoff Exposer Harry Markopolos that is just up on his site today.

Markopolos just released his book, No One Would Listen: A True Financial Thriller, two documentaries are underway, and a feature film is in the works. Markopolos put his life and the lives of his family on the line by refusing to let his Madoff investigation die. Five times he tried to turn him in to the SEC, five times they ignored him. Why?

Many people like the idea of free-markets, but are very worried that this would give giant corporations free-reign.

Markopolos is a proven financial crime fighter. & is the man on the ground fighting frauds.

I tried to get to him to run for the US Senate when I heard Kennedy had brain cancer in Jan/09. He refused. Too bad because he would have won. I know we would have had the Ron Paul Revolution behind us.

I have known Harry since 2003. I can think of no one better than Harry to run the SEC. For the first time he left the door open that he would take the job. I remember watching "The Untouchables" as a kid. He would be a modern day Elliot Ness.

That I listened to the interview twice. We think he's a hero, and if he heads the SEC I will suddenly want to be a government bureaucrat regulator, which is quite an odd turn of events indeed.
