Texas RESULTS: Perry (declared winner) 51.2%, Medina 18.3%, Hutchison 30.5%- 14th Ron Paul wins with: 80.5%

74.3% reporting

Perry: 51.2%
Hutchison: 30.5%
Medina: 18.3%

14th district:

85.2% reporting

Paul: 80.5% ***winner
Graney: 10.1%
Gay: 5.3%
Wall: 4.2%

(by the way, this is a bigger win for Dr. Paul than in 2008!)

I don't know how significant this is, but Ron Paul got almost 70,000 votes in the Texas presidential 2008 Republican primary. Medina was able to get over 260,000 votes. That's over 370% more votes. Hopefully this is a sign that more people are focusing on the real issues.

At our polling place here in Texas the workers said that some places were running out of ballots because of the unusually high number of voters. Yet there were only three people at our precinct convention.

Why would there be a good turnout for an incumbent?

Don't forget that Texas has open primaries. Anyone can vote in the Republican primary- even the die-hard Dems.
We understand that both parties are wings on the same bird of prey. The Democrats have very little chance of winning in Texas. They would rather live under Perry than Medina, right? ....just one possibility.

The unfortunate fact seems to be that average Texans are honest and good people but very naive. They trust too much and thus the most corrupt have had a heyday becoming entrenched in power.

that's not true... There are a few counties in west texas where Medina is winning with over 50%... and several where she's in second place across texas, and others where she's close with hutchison

Looks like Perry may get the nomination without even having to go through a runoff. Texans will have to suffer a lot more in the coming years before they wake up (just like the rest of the country).

Election Fraud abounds nationwide and currently in Texas. Unless there are some honest and efficient means to unambiguously count "the ballots/votes", electronic voting fraud will continue steadfast and without any restraint well into America's political future, however long that might be. It's a political travesty of justice. The response must come from the people whom voted for Medina and an immediate response from Medina herself and perhaps her utilizing the first step response advocated by Devvy Kidd in an earlier DP post.
