Plan for TEXAS

Edit: Give me your questions for these candidates. I'll type them up and send out a questionnaire to each one and we'll see what they say.

Let's NOT do the bidding of the people taking this country apart. Let's NOT vote the lesser of two evils. Let's get behind ONE CANDIDATE from the list of "applicants for governor" below. Let's weed out this list and then list their strengths and decide whom WE will vote for -- as a BLOCK. We need to vote together or we will accomplish nothing.

XX Democratic Bill White
XX Republican Rick Perry

Constitution David Kirkland
Constitution Marie Marsh

Green Bart Boyce
Green Deb Shafto

Libertarian Jeffrey Joseph "Jeff" Daiell
Libertarian Katherine Youngblood Glass
Libertarian Kenneth "Ken" Griffin
Libertarian Steven S. "Steve" Nichols
Libertarian M.J. "Smitty" Smith
Libertarian Edward "Ed" Tidwell

Independent David W. Carpenter
Independent Francis L. "Fran" Cavanaugh
Independent Curtis Wayne "Tank" Hartfield
Independent Thomas Ritter Helm
Independent Stephen Dewayne McGee
Independent Louis Podesta
Independent Kenneth Richardson
Independent Dale Robertson
Independent John Roland Ross
Independent Leslie J. "Les" Sanderfer, III
Independent Kevin Still

I have voted for Ron Paul for Congress and President in both regular and primary elections. However this year I didn't vote in the Republican Primary and Dr. Paul won handily as I expected. I will be voting for Dr. Paul again in November.

I joined the Constitution Party of Texas last year. I am currently running for Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

My wife is running for Governor. We were both rooting for Debra Medina in the Primary and share a similar platform.

We are open to questionnaires, interviews, or other opportunities to get our message out.

Our first goal is to get ballot access. Starting March 10th, we need to get roughly 44,000 registered voters (who didn't vote in either primary) to sign our petition for ballot access.

This doesn't mean you join the Constitution party or have to vote for us, but it does give our fellow Texans another choice on the ballot. If you did vote in one of the primaries, you can still circulate our ballot access petition amongst those you did not.

Ron Paul endorsed Chuck Baldwin in 2008. I hope that my fellow Ron Paul supporters can rally behind our campaigns as well.

Alan Marsh
Constitution Party Candidate for Comptroller

Thank you Alan for responding

The candidates need video and a lot of talk about the issues. Most have very little of this so far. I think I only saw one video that went into the issues. Best of luck to you and your wife. I have received a high recommendation from a friend for Marie for governor. And I am eager to see videos.

Welcome to the DP guys.

Sounds good to me. Let's see if people will rally behind anyone

who isn't in the GOP though.

As for the LP candidates, I think their convention nominates one of them to be on the ballot. (They don't agree with spending tax dollars on party elections)

So if you favor one over the others, you'll need to be active and vocal in the TXLP. Otherwise, it might be best to just do some preliminary homework on all of them and wait till after their convention.

You don't have to vote GOP

in the general election even if you voted Republican in the primary.

What is that "When" thing?? Did you mean 2010???

Yes, I was thinking get to know them basically all and maybe influence the other primaries although we cannot vote in those primaries if we just voted.

Ron Paul 2012...and beyond

Let's put together a questionnaire

and send to these people. What question would you want answered?

you think you have a future as a cat herder ;-)

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

I have noticed how cats like to run around together.

We vote as a BLOCK or we get nowhere. I am not about to choose the candidate, but I think we can research them and come up with the strongest.

I've had a couple recommended to me.
