I actually don't want Ron Paul to run for President.

Gary Johnson seems to be in the same mold and much younger which would appeal to a broader base of people.

I would make Ron Paul the Treasury Secretary.

Of course, most of you probably know him but man does he sound good. He's Peter Schiff taking a breath.

I would Like him...

Lets face it folks, we had 2

Lets face it folks, we had 2 years with Ron and got 5%.

Having someone with less name recognition to win now simply will not happen. Maybe in our fantasy land but it's too late. These next few years are critical and if we have any chance at taking the presidents seat, it's going to be Ron.

We have to remember the past and our previous results. It's going to take more than a few million voters, more than 2 years of activism, etc. If Ron wanted to be president, he would come out now. If we wanted our free country back, we could start campaigning now. Sadly Ron won't run and we will have Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin...which the american people will support, face it.

Anyways this is just my opinion on what will happen, it's still not going to deteriorate my efforts. I honestly just don't think we should let a neocon have office until 2016.

"One man with courage is a majority." ~ Andrew Jackson

We had 2 years of Ron and got the CPAC straw poll, on Fox Busine

fox 60 times since the election, campus activists across the country with YAL, this web site, C4L with thousands of precinct leaders, county GOP chairmen and delegates and precinct leaders....

If that is failure, I wonder what success looks like. And I am more than willing to give my all to another campaign by Ron Paul in 2012 to find out.

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

WALK Don't Run

I do hope to see Ron contiue his walkabout, but to RUN in a political RACE with an eye fixed on the finishline
leads to breathless disappointment
stuck in the mire of sidelines or
spinning wheels at the gate. I expect forward movement will prove to be a function of traction on solid foundation AND revolutions per minute. Enjoy the journey.

At this point we really have no one else

In 2016 we should have a number of qualified candidates but until then who else do we have.

There are 2 people

whom I'm aware of right now, that I would vote for as 2012 President.

Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin.

If Ron Paul isn't the 2012 Republican nominee, then I'm voting Constitution Party.

I second that.. right there

I second that.. right there with you BigT..

I hope Ron runs

If not..Peter schiff, Rand or Jesse.

He does not have...

what it takes. I read below that he is pro-abort. Most DPer's can't get behind that. Member of CFR? definitely a no-no.

I hear a lot of I, I, I

but not a lot of passion for the philosophy of liberty. Also, there's something weird he does with his eyes that comes across as weird in TV interviews.

With better oratory he might be a good standard bearer but he's not there yet.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

what are you

talking about - weird thing he does with his eyes?

Ron Paul is My President

the only reason i would ron NOT to run

is because i fear for his safety and that of his family.

GARY JOHNSON = CFR PAWN

I have posted this several times.

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/119974

My fellow patriots need to do some research before pushing a candidate for the highest office. Gary Johnson would destroy our coalition. For starters he is a pro-choice activist. Not even a states rights guy when it comes to abortion, but freedom for all to kill their offspring.

More importantly - and most disturbing - is that he is probably a CFR pawn and is at the very least under the influence of the CFR. For those who do not know ----that is the council on Foreign Relations. Do your homework! Google that if you do not know what it is. Gary has strong ties to the CFR. BAD NEWS! And why I believe Dr. Paul WILL NEVER support Gary Johnson.

That being said, I am glad Johnson is on our side and supports Dr. Paul, but that does not mean we must support Johnson for POTUS.

RON PAUL 2012!

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

If he is a CFR.. then that

If he is a CFR.. then that disqualifies him..

I don't know why but Johnson does not impress me...

and I could be wrong. But for some reason I feel a Sanford-ness there; he is probably a great guy. If he were smart he would introduce himself on these message boards and communicate with us. I have much respect for RJ Harris and others who are willing to participate with us so we can get a good feeling about them first-hand.

See post above for a few reasons to prefer RP

Not to mention the fact of Ron Paul's superior experience , character and statesmanship.

I want Ron Paul to run for

I want Ron Paul to run for president! He would be the best for sure.

Ron Paul is like superman

And all the upcoming liberty candidates remind me of all the different versions of superman after his death. Some of them excel even Ron in some areas, but fall short in most others, making them unpalatable as a presidential candidate.
In congress however I believe their strengths and weaknesses would compliment each other and so I have no problem sending them all to washington as congressman and senators, or in other capacities.

But as far as someone embodying all of what Ron Paul is and stands far, or even coming close, I can only see one person at the moment, and that man is Ron Paul himself. He may be a hard sell nationally at his age but I'm up for the fight, though I do hope someone comes along soon that can carry on his impeccable legacy, but for now I'll be writing Ron Paul in for 2012... whether he runs or not...
in perpetuity.

Ghost Paul 2072!!

an oldy

but goody!

Freedom is NOT free!

hmmm

My advice for Ron Paul might be to fade out of the lime light for 2 months or so before he announces...but I'm probably wrong. It is ironic that Ron Paul is at the top of his political game--and really he is quite old. I think his run will only be a matter of doctor's advice...and he's the doctor. I trust God to guide.

Ron Paul 2012!!!

Maybe Gary Johnson can be Dr. Paul's VP, but honestly I would prefer to see Judge Andrew Napolitano as RP's VP.

Even a presidential candidate can embrace 9.11

truth & win, if he bring AE911 into the fold.

Science doesn't lie.

He has been vetted and rejected by MSM.

The Ratigan clip did him in.

He would waffle on the "truther" question ...

and his response to legalize drugs needs some tweaking.

Unless he is willing to play the game, I would prefer someone that has already been vetted on the national level. Someone like Senator Paul from KY.

What Ratigan clip are you

What Ratigan clip are you referring to? I would also like to hear more about why you think the other two things and have disregarded the "vetted" comment because it is silly to let the media pick presidential candidates...
