Barney Frank takes Dr. Paul's cue and demands answers

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank asked Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke to investigate allegations of Fed involvement in the Watergate scandal and Iraqi weapons purchases in the 1970s and 1980s.

Representative Ron Paul asked questions about “inappropriate political interference” and “hidden transfers of resources” during a Feb. 24 hearing with Bernanke, and the allegations “must be fully investigated".

Barney Frank re-election

Barney Frank re-election worries? As this article says, BF hasn't had a serious opponent in 26 years.... that's right, 26 years. I have never heard of his opponent, but whoever he is faces long odds. You really have to live/work in Mass/RI to understand the politics up here. The votes Debra Medina would get could be counted on two hands and maybe one foot.

10-15 million more voters need to believe in non-interventionism (liberty) at home and abroad to change America. Minds changed on Syria. Minds changing on privacy. "Printing money" is part of the dialogue. Win minds through focus, strategy.

Asking the Fed to investigate

Asking the Fed to investigate itself doesn't really make sense. Isn't that sort of like asking a criminal to investigate a crime they committed?

Ron Paul should've been

Ron Paul should've been holding Auerbach's book in his hand while talking to Bernanke about those allegations.

Ron Paul should've said: "I'm holding a book in my hand called “Deception and Abuse at the Fed,” by University of Texas Professor Robert D. Auerbach, and in here he writes some very damning things about your institution that I believe the American people deserve to know whether or not it's true."

Also if Ron Paul did that, many people would've gone out and buy that book which would further educate those who know nothing about the Fed.

Ok... Ask the Fed to

Ok... Ask the Fed to investigate itself? Yeah, that's going to be one heck of an investigation.

I am of no relation!

This is all for show...

If Bucktard Barney really cared he would have let Ron Pauls Bill HR1207 go through on it's own. Barney is only doing this for show, and hoping he will have a job next time his election is on the line.

Franks a piece of work

Frank did this for the audit the fed bill. He supported it at first but didn't do anything when it mattered. This is all for show and I hope his constituents pick up on it.

A stunt for upcoming Election?

to be friend Dr Paul?

This is big...

This could be as big as the "Nixon tapes". Dr. Paul has always trusted Barney Frank (even if the rest of us don't),
and Barney can use this to "get at the Fed" without "offending" House Leadership. How are they going to complain.

The dike of lies is crumbling!

Barney can use Dr. Paul as his cover. I like the "Nixon tapes" comparison. This could be fun to watch unfold. "Play dumb Ben" is probably not going to sleep well for a while.

I'm in shock..

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Shouldn't be a shock...it's

Shouldn't be a shock...it's called self preservation. It's an election year and Barney is from MA. Wasn't a Republican just elected to the Senate from that very liberal state? Brown's election must have Barney a little shaken up for him to take such a stance. lol

There's a lot of come to Jesus moments for elected officials of both parties in an election year. It's very funny to watch them change their hypocritical spots to ensure their reelection.

We can only hope the voting public are on to their tricks by now. Only time will tell.
