The "Anything Goes" Thread, Con't.

Inspired by the original The "Anything Goes" Thread
created by IamVoting4RonPaul on Fri, 05/16/2008 - a thread which, sadly, no longer allows commenting (?) -- here is "Anything Goes" Jr., introduced with the same words as the original:

Some people want to separate the important posts from the rest of our nonsense. So, here ya go -- post away.

Remember -- "anything goes" doesn't mean breaking Michael's rules. Don't like that? Create your own site.

This is the place to get it out of your system!

Tonight on Coast to Coast: Black Budget Projects

Is there any way the Mods can put this in the General thread? I thought it would create it's own thread like other stories do.

Researcher Richard Sauder will discuss the black budget world of super-secret projects and clandestine underground, and undersea, bases and tunnels, and the vast sums of money siphoned off from the economy to build them.

First Hour: Journalist and teacher Frosty Wooldridge talks about the problem of overpopulation.

Show starts after the news.
1am EST, midnight CST, 11pm MST and 10pm PST

Real eyes realize real lies

We want our country back

Every year is a year for Ron Paul!

For almost a year now, my husband has tried to find work. In NC, where we lived, SC, because we lived so close, now in OK, where we've been living for the past 5 months..He wants a labor job..because textiles is dead..and he loves working outside..(he wants to learn as he goes)
I know we shouldnt be happy that the unemployment benifits will keep going (for some)..but for us..its a chance to survive a bit longer until..we hope..he finds a job. At his age (52) it wont be easy.(he may not get it though because he was let go in May of last year..they said if he had of been let go in Feb. it would be no problem...omg please..jobless is jobless no matter what month your let go)
Is there anyone else here having the same problem?
We cant live off savings..we have none..used it all up..and have no clue what to do. We will travel for him to get a job..as far as the car (which needs work) will take us.
Any ideas would be helpful...We live in Kay County.

Beating Unemployment unhappiness

1. Look into volunteering somewhere, join a church group, tutor students from your horrible government schools, volunteer at a hospital, homeless shelter, etc.

2. Exercise at least half an hour a day. Set a goal to lose some weight if you want.

3. Stay informed on what's going on in and around the world and where you live. Read, Crash Proof 2.0 by Peter Schiff, etc.

4. If possible network with people for bartering services and goods. Start bartering now, not later, you get to know people and maybe make some new friends. Get to know your neighbors.

5. Get out of debt if possible, reduce your debt.

6. Talk to people about what's going on, Toastmasters, school board meetings, church etc.

Anyone want to add anything on beating the unemployment blues?

"The triumph of persuasion over force is the sign of a civilized society"

A few things

1. Buy and live by the Tightwad Gazette and save all the money you can from the unemployment checks.

2. You can obtain free items from freecycle. If it doesn't work out for you to keep the items, you can sell them on eBay or Craigslist. I know people who've made hundreds of dollars this way...of course, no need to mention that you have to be scrupulous about reporting all your income to the IRS. I wouldn't advocate cheating them of their fair share of your labor.

3. A temp agency is better than nothing, a minimum wage job is better than nothing.

Best wishes for your success.
