Hello everybody, Well I hate to tell you this but.... I'm staying!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be sticking around here.

That's right...

I will be applying rhetoric, sarcasm, counterpoints and maybe at times a bump or 2 to your posts.

This place is just far to fun and full of good entertainment to leave. I would have a real hole in my life without it.

Not to mention I get some good info from time to time...

Here is my position from last year:

For the record

I would like to formally announce that I'm staying.

Good Night Patriots.

Prayer in Honor of Blessed Margaret of Castello:

Father,
Your care extends to every human person,
No matter what afflictions they suffer,
And you uphold the dignity of every human life,
Regardless of the false ways that the world may calculate its value.
You gave us Blessed Margaret of Castello as a sign and a challenge.
You permitted your glory to shine through her human weakness,
And called those around her to love her
Despite her physical limitations.
FORGIVE US WHEN WE FAIL TO DEFEND THE LEAST AMONG US.
Through the intercession of Blessed Margaret,
Give us grace to speak up for the outcast
and to welcome those who are rejected.
When this brief life is over,
Grant that we who have welcomed all our brothers and sisters,
May be welcomed by you into the life that never ends.
We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Okay, so I've been run off twice, left six times and who

wants the first tomato!LOL. Green house is looking Sooooo! Good!. Seriously, I have left so many times and been kicked off a few. There is nothing like the DP family. I get anxiety ridden with some of the down post and just as soon as you decide enough is enough someone from the family posts something that draws you right back in.

That means we are all blessed and this site will never die. Thank you so much Michael.

Well you know...

dexterszyd, I appreciate your contribution to our effort, but I will say that this post, being in response to another post, in which a certain gentleman was at the end of his emotional rope, is a little bit disrespectful.

Jive, raised some legitimate concerns, but really, he was burnt out, as I am sure a lot of people who have been here for a couple of years or more can tell you.

I, myself, have gotten frustrated and "quit", 3 times so far. But Liberty, keeps bringing me back to this great forum.

I don't mean to admonish you, but rather, I seek your understanding.

People are just people, we are not perfect, and we give when we can, but at times we need to rest.

I write this to all the dailypaul members. We must help each other when we can, and forgive each other when they can no longer help.

Jive didn't write his farewell for no cause, it's just that regardless of the stated cause, WE failed to see the truth.

Peace to all of you, and may we forgive those amongst us who need to rest.

Jive will be back, and when he comes back, we must welcome him with open arms.

I am ok with that...Jive was / is a cool Cat

A bit eccentric too...

But here is where you totally lose me.

We are adults (I hope) and as adults we have hopefully learned a few things along the way.

One is to make sure we have our priorities straight.

Another is to relate to people maturely whether emotionally or mentally.

Another is to know how to differentiate between reality and just nonsense.

Of course this is all coupled with a little humor and passion from time to time.

Losing your mind on an internet forum is not one of my traits although some here would probably disagree.

What I am trying to say to you is I think this site becomes a false reality for some. They take things way too personal and some even believe that this is where the battle of the hearts and minds are won and conquered.

This notion is ridiculous.

Don't take this out of context because I certainly believe this forum is healthy and I would be lying to you if I told you I have not learned or taken anything from it.

I love the fact that it has become the glue that holds us together in order to exchange these opinions and thoughts..

We just can't become so engrossed that it effects our emotions and and well being. Then it becomes a sickness.

For me .... All hope is lost ...I am already sick...I have a disease and affliction that has no cure... its called

I am warning all of you to stay away from me because it's highly contagious and spreads rapidly.

dexterszyd,

My complaint is not with you, but with society in general.

Society lacks ruth, and is thus ruthless.

A ruthless society, is not a society at all, it is every man for himself.

But I do gather from your post, that you have not yet fallen to the depths that I and Clive have fallen to.

And how does a person fall to these depths? Only by becoming totally obsessed in the restoration of our government.

So, if you ask me, if I have ever heard of Ron Paul, I can honestly answer you that perhaps that is the only thing I have listened to in the past 3 years.

Only an addict can know the depth of depravity of addiction.

So if you truly hear Ron Paul, you would truly understand.

While I agree that we all get frustrated and emotional

at times, and I realize that we all handle things differently, Jive took out his frustration by scolding and looking down on people that don't agree with him.
Instead of ignoring posts--or investigating and posting reasoned discussion--he would choose to scold those of us who didn't agree with him.

Yes he did that,

and people who are emotionally drained do illogical things.

compassion and understanding are what is needed here.

If you feel he needed education, then educate him logically, but do not cast aside someone who has fought relentlessly for years, because he needed a rest.

Let me tell you something, and I hope I don't get banned for it, and maybe some of you will remember it, but the second time I quit, I left a message, much like Jive's, and some people responded with kind words, and most people just ignored it.

And being hurt, I re-enrolled in the DailyPaul with the username of SATAN.

And I berated every single post on the site. It was great fun. Eventually, so many people complained, that Michael Nystrom had to step in and delete SATAN'S account.

Relentless obsession, makes people do crazy things at times. I understand Jive, I forgive Jive, I would seek to educate Jive, I would seek to be educated by Jive.

And I promise never to become SATAN again.

I agree SirFelix

Jive has been fighting a long time ..not just here the last few years but well before. I may not have agreed with a lot of his stances sometimes but defend his right to believe and speak what he feels.

I've had to take a break several times due to sheer frustration and I will probably have to do so again!

I do wish him well and understand his need for a break and rest.

Peace

oh yeah,

Me and Jive,

didn't always see eye to eye. He once insinuated that I didn't know nothing about economics, and he was probably right, but I still respect him.

I learned a lot from him, as I learn a lot from most of the DailyPaul members.

We are a community, and as such, we defend our own.

A song for Daily Paul....... "Family"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBG6aphLhOA

We have our fights, our discussions, our passions. We cry at each other's misfortune and celebrate other's successes. We are MUCH more than just a political activism site. We are a site in which we can exercise our BRAINS and expand our horizons, offer encouragement, commiserate, ask questions, get answers, and get challenged to other points of view.

We are, in fact, a family. (Frankly, I often prefer coming here than the thought of a get-together with my family!)

That Dolly Parton song, just about sums it up.

Thank You.

Thank you 5 stars!

I will try to access Daily Paul even if they put me in some secret underground prison -

and if I am to be executed my last wish will be to log on to Daily Paul.

I've noticed in my 2 years + here at DP

That regardless if I agree with them or not, like them or not- the "right" people stay. That's why the Daily Paul is the best liberty site in town.

You read my mind

I logged on tonight with the thought that if I saw another one of those lame "I'm leaving because of blah blah blah" posts, I was going to post something like you did. Thanks for doing it for me and in far more positive and less sarcastic way then I would have done. It warmed the cockles of my keyboard :)

Keyboards have

cockles ? No wonder they're so cheap...LOL !!

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

I just can't imagine...

not reading the Daily Paul every day. When it was down for a week or so, back in December, I really missed it. I felt empty, and out of the loop.
You are all so intelligent, passionate, witty and imaginative. And you're also very positive and loving. I admire each and every one of you.
Sure, there are disagreements, insults and negativity. But that comes from honesty, and revealing your truth. And truth is the currency of love. You have to expect that sort of thing when it comes to family, because make no mistake about it, we are a family here. A little dysfunctional perhaps at times, yes, but still, to me, it feels like a family.
There is no other place like this on the internet. It's an ongoing learning experience for me, and I don't think I will ever leave.

I must say...

That I think that with everything going on these days, the name calling and crazy ideas like freedom and liberty, that the time has come for me to not make a very big decision to leave.

Therefore, I'm staying too.

This is good news!

I am staying, too. I can't imagine trying to keep up with the latest news without the wonderful bunch of folks here on Daily Paul.
I am always impressed with the ability of you all to find the latest.
Of course some of it doesn't check out, but we have some of the best minds here to analyze and theorize and work through it.
Speaking for myself---I have learned a lot and changed my mind on some issues, thanks to Ron Paul and my friends here at Daily Paul!
People that are set in their ways and close-minded can't handle spirited debate.

right on. same here.

right on. same here.

Well, what the hey

I think I'll stick around too.

Nice

Thank you.

great post
