you, weebles, nuclear kid, zenpiper. 4 votes so far. let's keep a count. for you to exaggerate a sub group inside the mass of liberty movement which quite frankly can have lots more support from borderline libertarians like tucker carlson many of whom are 100 times more of a political activist than you ever will be, if they haven't been turned off by the very same sub group you speak of, which i assume you are in, is quite frankly hilarious. well let's see, his "base" has gotta be more than 4 votes? who else? speak up.
Mr. Schiff was asked about opening up a new investigation. Mr. Schiff stated his opinion, basically that questioning the government theory is akin to an Elvis sighting.
That's OK for an opinion. But does his opinion have anything to do with the question? Should his opinion outweigh the right of the individual to question the authority of government?
I would have much rather heard Mr. Schiff state that he sees no evidence of conspiracy or any unanswered questions concerning the events of 911, but he respects the right of individuals to present any new evidence and findings.
His demeaning discourse about anyone questioning this government, eerily reminds of the current occupants of the Senate; kind of a 'we govern by our opinion and we are right so shut up'
Some cheesehead said something about being 'dangerously' invested in gold. Probably one of the same people that told us that gold was a dumb investment 5 years ago, and they are probably investing in severed credit cards.
There are many dangerous investments, but gold is not one of them
Fact #1: Norman Mineta testifies before the 9/11 Commission that he is in an underground bunker with Cheney as a person announces, "The plane is 50 miles out". Then a few minutes later, "The plane is 30 miles out". Then finally, "The plane is ten miles out. Do the orders still stand?". In response, Cheney “whipped his neck around and said, ‘Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?’”
Fact #2: There are three separate radar systems in a 30 mile radius around Washington D.C. SOLELY dedicated to protecting government properties. One of the radar systems is COMPLETELY dedicated to protecting ONLY the Pentagon.
Fact #3: The Pentagon has a ring of computer automated robotic surface-to-air missile (SAM) batteries embedded in the Pentagon lawn.
Fact #4: The plane flew nearly directly over the Pentagon and made a huge lumbering complete circle BACK to the Pentagon with impunity.
Fact #5: Norman Mineta's testimony, which was recorded by CSPAN and preserved on Youtube, is TOTALLY ABSENT in the 9/11 Commission report. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDfdOwt2v3Y

Schiff knows of no unresolved questions with the 9/11 Commission report!?!? Either he is an idiot or liar. In either case he doesn't deserve to serve in Congress.
Ron Paul says he is not satisfied with the 9/11 Commission report and that it is a coverup.
I don't know when it was - last year sometime - that many of the Daily Paul community jumped on the Schiff for Senate bandwagon. Not me. I just don't like the guy.
This video shows him tap-dancing around a serious subject.
it's true that 9/11 is not part of Peter's platform. I'm just showing the truth. If he loses your support, fine. It's better than having you support him while not knowing he disagrees with you. Please don't shoot the messenger! (me)

over his personal opinion and his decision about what he wants to do with 911 in his own campaign.
that's alright, you're free not to support him and even vote for his opponent if you wish, and even campaign for his opponents because of the poll or his decision on not running on a 911 platform. i'm not saying that's what you intend to do, but i won't take any personal issue with it. it only strikes me as dishonest if peter makes it as clear as he already has that he does not wish to make 911 his political platform, that some people would deliberately become a political activist for him and put out messages that he does not support, in his campaign.
as to those who wish to clearly declare themselves as the opposition enemies, it is all done in honesty and transparency. like the saying goes, if you want to go to war, declare it. so if you wish to openly drop out of his campaign and even help his opponents, as long as it's under the sunlight, i have no qualms.
btw it's not a attack on free speech either way. i don't know what others have said against truthers, and if they made any personal attacks because of truther's beliefs, then i condemn them. what a person thinks or believes shouldn't matter as long as it doesn't affect other people. a free individual should be able to ask question and espouse anything he wishes anytime, anywhere as long as he can be held accountable in that he is speaking under his own name, and he's not borrowing somebody else's.
confusing a candidate's message by getting involved in his campaign without his consent and mixing messages he does not support is irresponsible and immoral, and it has nothing to do with the issue of free speech. to the extent you don't affect him and many others' efforts in his campaign, since it is not just your personal beliefs that counts--talk freely. if you can get him personally agree to run on the 911 issue, then it is obviously nobody else's business. otherwise, it is your liberty to become an activist for 911 awareness outside someone's campaign, or if you decide to run one of your own.

He just lost my moral and financial support. It's sad how he blasted everyone who believes in the right to question our government. When did that become a passing fad?
i only support liberty candidates like Ron Paul, Schiff, Rand Paul, Debra Medina, Adam Kokesh, Valerie Meyers, Hostettler. Why do you think I support Mitt Romney? It's absolutely impossible that I lift a finger for him.
I have a feeling that all the people that are so concerned with 9/11 have already bought 100oz of gold and they want every good candidate to fail so that the economy collapses faster and they can be personally enriched... i'm calling shenanigans on you guys.
since the Establishment can outlaw gold holdings at any time by declaring a "national emergency," as happened under Roosevelt. At the least it would eliminate the private gold market.
That's not true. Gold with "collectible" value is protected. What that means exactly is up for debate. I took it to mean certain gold coins, antique items and what else exactly? Not 100% certain, although I don't think Krugerrands qualify, nor do gold bars.

Given the premise of the 9/11 truthers... why do they think that THIS time the govt will investigate honestly?
Sure, False Flag operations are a fact of life.
Sure, a SOFT conspiracy may have been afoot, see Justin Raimondo.
Sure, the CIA & Massod had & has a lot to gain from this kind of activity.
BUT what in Gawds name makes truthers think they will get TRUTH out of government that is so conspiratorial? Its crazy-foolish to believe first in the conspiracy by govt and then think that govt will itself come clean in a "new" investigation.
What is more plausible? That the spaghetti octopus called the Federal government and all its agencies and affiliate agencies and side companies and foreign companies and friends of friends and insiders who know just so much who seek a little benefit there, a pull here, and tug there.---- in the end the mass collective has no brain, no I, just like the market?

Look, even FARMERS, anti-govt Farmers cannot stop being worked by the system for the system makes it all in their immediate self interest to play the govt welfare favoritism card. Find those Iowa farmers who hate ethanol..it is not so easy. A conspiracy? Or massive incompetence & corruption all caused by the various actors within the system itself?
Certainly it was True that certain neocons where looking for such a thing to happen, they openly wrote about it. But like the craziness of life, its all out there for anyone to investigate, test, and scientifically prove. Government is not needed for that. In fact government is the LAST institution I would want to take on the job of investigating itself.
It might be more accurate to say that the only people who continue to investigate 9/11 either stand to benefit from it or have unresolved issues. I know of no other people who are actively devoting a significant portion of their life and energy addressing this.

Half wrong. Half right.
Wrong about "no one is that diabolical".
Wrong in assuming that that rouge elements within government could not have orchestrated 9/11 just as they staged the Gulf of Tonkin incident.
Hasn't he heard that the Reichstag Fire was inside job?
Building 7 Peter?
Run that by me again...what happened?
Has he read "War Is A Racket?"
Sheesh...Don't get me started.
Of course, he's still right about purely economic questions and the motivating force of political expediency.
He's also right about how 9/11 was used as political capital to ram through the Patriot Act.
Debra Medina also dropped the ball on this issue in her interview with Mark Davis.

Needless to say that this 1/3 is intimately tied in with the liberty movement in general.
