Socialist Romney Doesn't Think Ron Paul Devotees Are Growing in Number
Romney is discounting the C4L/DP/YAL/Ron Paul movement, saying "I don't think there is a growing portion of Americans who are, if you will, Ron Paul devotees."
As you know, Mitt Romney is wrong!
The number of "Fed Up!" Americans are growing and we're getting smarter. We can see right through Romney's linguistic twists of the truth and can point out the propaganda the second it leaves his lips.
Mitt's Goals
Personally, at this point in time, I believe that Romney, not Palin will emerge as the front runner for the Republican nomination in 2012. Why? Because he is viewed by most as a businessman, and someone who should have got the nod in 2008 instead of McCain (or at least V.P.). Palin is viewed, at least by the intelligent folks, as a woman who can carry herself well, but technically a soccer mom who really has no experience.
Romney did get second place in the CPAC poll, but he presents a problem for the Republican (or Tea Party) voters in that he passed a health care for all law in his home state of Massachusetts.
To counteract the propaganda from the other side, I believe that we here on DP need to step up and point out who this Romney cat really is, a socialist, and point out his flaws for all to see.
Later today I will post my critique of Romney's Massachusetts health care plan and shed light on its failure and thus Romney's failure.
By eliminating the Romney threat, it leaves the Republicans/Tea Party with Palin as their front runner until they magically come up with a stronger candidate.
In the meantime, the "Ron Paul Devotees" will climb the ranks, our numbers will grow and our voices heard, spreading the Liberty message.
Here's Romney's comments concerning Ron Paul's first place finish...
Excerpt;
"The potential presidential candidate also dismissed his second place finish to Ron Paul in last month's Conservative Political Action Conference Straw Poll, which he chalked up to libertarian collusion. Paul's win broke Romney's three year winning streak in the straw poll.
"The good thing about libertarians is that when they are called to show up somewhere they do, and when they get a call in the night saying, 'Hey, we need you to show up at CPAC or show up at a straw poll or show up at an event,' they will show up, and you've got to congratulate them for that," he said.
"But I don't think there is a growing portion of Americans who are, if you will, Ron Paul devotees, but he has an influence, and we welcome his participation in the party. It's a big tent party.""

I think our largest growth may come
from Dems stepping over. I know I have convinced 2 die hard liberals in the past 3 months that Ron Paul is the man
Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Hi lynnopoly...
Congrats on convincing a couple Dems to see your/Ron Paul's point of view. I'm sure it wasn't easy. Perhaps you could write an article for DP on how you did it?
Yes, Dems will come over to the Republican side, possibly for fiscal conservativism reason alone. But we all know the true colors of many Republicans will be shown once in office. The fact that Obama's colors haven't changed is significant in winning people over to Ron Paul's message.
I think the youth of today, through the efforts of YAL, are a voice that can speak loudly in 2012. The fact that they typically don't vote and are discounted by the media can be an advantage for us moving forward.
I'll find out more about this movement in April when I see Tom Woods speak at San Diego State University. I'll especially be interested in hearing their points of view on what Tom has to say.
Keep up the good work!

Mitt Romney
"When I win the CPAC straw poll (after spending truckloads of money in the process) it is an indication of growing legions of supporters, when Ron Paul wins with the most votes in the history of the poll, in the year of the mid-term elections, it is not an indication of a large and growing support base, it is just a handful of fanatics who follow Ron Paul around like the grateful dead."
I think the hairspray is sinking into his brain.

Hi Kemp...
I'm sure it came as a shock to him after winning three times in a row.
I like how in the article he throws out the "Libertarian" moniker. They continually do this and although Ron Paul ran once as a Libertarian, over 20 years ago, he is more like the "Old" Republicans when it comes to fiscal and foreign policy as well as limited government.
The tactic for them is "he's not one of us...he's a Libertarian." The result they wish to achieve is for people to discount him.

Tell Romney
about this quote from his hero, Ronald Reagan:
"I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism."

Thanks Kemp...
You can bet I'll use that quote in the future!

I don't think Mitt will win the GOP.
I don't think Mitt will win the GOP. His flavor of collectivism isn't compatible with that of the globalist/NWO folks that currently run the show. Unlike our current and previous presidents, he will not be a puppet; he actually wants to be president and lead. They'll shut him out.
I'm speculating that they will make naive and ditsy Palin the GOP leader so they can easily hand Obama yet another term.
“I’m fully diversified. I’ve got some under the mattress, some under the floor boards, some in the backyard.”
Hi allten..
I agree, but he is still listed in the polls as a favorite, so needs to be addressed. See my reply to 1988vote below for polls.
Interestingly enough, Rasmussen (a Republican leaning pollster), hasn't done a presidential poll in awhile. The latest one I could find was from June of last year. Perhaps they are waiting for a front runner to emerge before conducting another one.
I'm just starting my critique's now, well in advance of any election and getting the truth out to voters.
Thanks for your comment...

grrr-- *we* welcome *his* . . .
grrr . . .
is there someone to contact this person and tell him what is really going on?
tent?
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
yes...grrr...
Instead of contacting him like you suggest, I'm going after those who might consider voting for him by exposing Romney's true self.
Romney finishing second in the CPAC poll doesn't, IMO, tell the whole story of what most Americans believe. Remember, despite Ron Paul doing well at CPAC, the poll is mostly of the youth. The youth, for the most part, are wide awake in realizing their future is troubled and can easily see the truth now that Obama has revealed himself to be "more of the same."
Romney appealed to the CPAC people the last 3 years and has slipped this year because of the organized efforts of C4L and other Ron Paul supporters.
So despite this success for Ron Paul from the youth today, one can't discount the other voters to whom I will be addressing in my critique of Romney.
It's Romney and Palin, for now, who need to be addressed as this Gallup poll suggests: http://www.gallup.com/poll/125777/voters-divided-obama-repub...
One can sit and argue the 9/11 truth movement (like they do her on DP) till they are blue in the face. I delved into it yesterday to test some theories I had (not to debate the merits on either side).
I'm now moving on to what's important...defeating those who are socialist in nature; Romney, inexperienced; Palin, and neoconservative; all of the above and most others. I'm supporting those who stand for Liberty, Free Markets, Sound Money, Less Government and Ending the Fed for President.
There is only one potential candidate at present who stands for those issues. All the rest died over a century ago...
