Public Polling Policy Center did a poll on the Floriday Senate Race.

The Incumbant Neo-Con Governor is not doing so well.

I like the comment...

The only way Crist will win is if he switches parties.

Updates on Florida U.S. Senate Race

Repulican Bob Smith has dropped out of the race. Veterans Party candidate Dennis Bradley has also dropped out and endorsed Libertarian candidate Alexander Snitker, who is considered to be by far the most viable third party candidate in the race.

I live in Florida...

and Rubio is not a Liberty candidate. He will support the Patriot Act and the erosion of our liberties at the behest of the Republican leadership. Make no mistake about it.

Snitker for Senate! (Libertarian!)

The true Liberty candidate!

Rubio was called a coconut by

Rubio was called a coconut by Donny Deutsch.
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/scott-whitlock/2010/02/23/cnbcs...
I think the reason he called him that derogatory term coconut is because Rubio was not on board with the Chuck Schumer/Lindsey Graham amnesty bill. Rubio also made a comment criticizing Crist on the issue of illegal aliens and the Census. Rubio felt that counting illegal aliens in the census(which Crist spoke in favor of) gave incentive to do nothing about illegal immigration or do things to increase illegal immigration, because those states with higher populations of illegal aliens would get a louder voice in Washington, D.C.

A lot of people felt that Deutsch was saying any hispanic/latino who opposes illegal immigration and is not for amnesty for illegal aliens, is a coconut(brown on the outside, white on the inside). Deutsch claimed that isn't how he meant the term to be used, but many people think he was just backpedaling to cover up that racially charged term he used.

Is Rubio the real deal?

I didn't see any comments on the war on his page - could be a good thing as maybe he doesn't want to take an anti-war stance while campaigning... Anyone know?

Nope, sorry. Again, just the lesser of two evils. :-(

I got very exited about this guy when I watched this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiQobfnshTY where he speaks on healthcare.
I decided to look into him more to see if he was someone I could get behind. I like his stance on many issues: such as healthcare, cap and trade, gun rights and his voting record does in fact show he has not voted to increase taxes.
HOWEVER, further investigation revealed this:
In his CPAC address, at 15:00 he states this, and I quote, "On the issue of national defense: As I said earlier, THERE IS NO GREATER RISK TO THIS COUNTRY THAN THE RISK POSED BY RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS. Let me be clear about something, these terrorists aren't trying to kill us because we offended them. They attacked us because they wanna impose their view of the world on as many people as the can and America is standing in their way. We need to make it unmistakenly clear that we will do whatever it takes, for however long it takes, to defeat radical Islamic terrorism. WE WILL PUNISH THEIR ALLIES LIKE IRAN. And WE WILL STAND WITH OUR ALLIES LIKE ISRAEL." end quote.

You will have to watch the video yourself to hear the rest as I could stomach no more...

A vote for the lesser of 2 evils is still a vote for evil...

Rubio is a Neocon

don't get sucked in by the Tea Party fervor. He's for the status quo on foreign policy, and is no friend of real freedom.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Thanks

Thought that might be the case.

Marco Rubio’s Remarks at CPAC

Americans are also looking for a clear alternative on the issues of our national defense.

There is no greater risk to our security than radical Islamic terrorists.

These terrorists do not aim to kill us because we offended them.

They attack us because they want to impose their world view on others, and America is standing in their way.

We need to make it unmistakably clear that we will do whatever we have to do, for however long we have to do it, to defeat terrorism.

We will punish their allies like Iran and stand with our allies like Israel.

We will target and destroy terrorist cells and their leaders

And we will capture the terrorists that survive and, after we get useful information from them, we will bring them to justice…

By trying them before military tribunals in Guantanamo, not in civilian courts in Manhattan.

Good catch Newt

Notice you won't see anything about personal freedoms on his web site either... I think he's anti-MedMar... the acid test for anybody who claims to be a freedom lover.

I'm hoping..

Jim DeMint takes him under his wing - I'll still hold my nose and vote for him in the primary...

I used to say that I'd vote for him...

even though I wouldn't go to the mats for him... now I won't even vote for him after his recent comments on foreign policy. That is an important issue, and a vote for him is a vote of approval of his major stances.

John Dennis... is he libertarian, or just NP (NOT Pelosi?), tell us more Z-Man!
