Former Socialist Teacher Confronts Local School Board

Big time bump this is a message that resonates with a lot of educators, going against the unions is political suicide we need change from within the ranks of public educators.

... my favorite kind is socialist is an ex-socialist. I'm glad he called out the education system on it's systematic dissemination of lies and false history.

I, for one, am extremely angry and disappointed that the so-called public education system is nothing but a propaganda and indoctrination scheme.

"I've heard numerous times how when the Soviet Union collapsed and the doctors began to open their own practices (basically giving up on state sponsored healthcare and allowing the marketplace to work instead) it was like flowers growing up out the cracks of a concrete jungle. They could literally see totally bankrupt of an idea communism was and how letting the marketplace work was SUCH a better way.

Back in the early 90s my high school chemistry teacher used to wear a "question authority" pin every day. He often pointed out, by example, the hypocrisy of tenure. He would actually explain to the class things that he would do and how tenure actually helped protect him from having to do his job exactly as the administration would have wanted him to.

Probably could have learned a whole lot more chemistry from the other chemistry teacher...

While a lot of the chemistry stuff has faded, I doubt that I'll ever forget the lessons to "question authority" and the hypocrisy of tenure.

to become a teacher who actually wanted to teach, instead of have a carrier. WOW. No wonder they fired him he was probably the only one their for that purpose.

More need to speak up. This is why I pulled mine from Gov. school. Long story short, program after program that didn't help, I sent him to school with a report on good ole honest abe that told the truth about him and I was called in and told that it was inappropriate and that they were not teaching that here. I then told them that if they could not teach the truth, they could not teach my children. I told them to send someone to get him and they tried to tell me I couldn't do that. I walked down and retrieved him myself, and he has never been back to a government school since.
I am not too good at the home school thing, but at least I don't have to deal with people that are not even close to my own intellectual level trying to tell me how much smarter they are then I am, and trying to tell me that I have to do what they say.

The guy behind him looked really interested, maybe he did actually make a difference.
I think he did.
