The apathy on this site legalize
just makes me want to go buy more ammo and get ready for the worst case scenario. If we cannot depend on the people on this site, you and I both know what is going to come of all of this. Some on here don't realize how serious things are here, those are the worst kind of people in this movement, the ones who wait for everyone else to do something. Keep up the great work legalize, at least we can say we tried as we get enslaved.

it might help if you did this for the 'right' reason, for you and your posterity. If you give your time, you do it for yourself NOT for ME! I am already doing this for myself and my posterity!
And furthermore, if you were a real patriot you would be with those of us who are working night and day for the ARTICLES OF FREEDOM which is beyond politics, tea parties and even the electoral process.
If you are willing to give of your time and effort, then by all means get on board with the ARTICLES OF FREEDOM which returns our country to the rule of law. Once the rule of law is in place throughout our entire bicameral system all else will follow suit.
We need 5% of the population (only 15 million or 300,000 per State) There are 50 million tea partiers says the news, if only 30% of tea partiers were conscious of what the ARTICLES OF FREEDOM were, we would have the 'teeth' we need in numbers.
Think about it.
I only wish Mr.Nystrom would get on board with this as well!

It's a shame to see that only about 4300 people signed the pledge. When it first came out I thought, "well it's early, yet." I still plan on participating, but I wish this would get more coverage...like front page.

Without front page coverage on notable websites like Daily Paul, Campaign For Liberty, etc., how else will 'the liberty movement' find out about this.
By the conspicuous absence on the front page of this website alone causes 'doubts' in people's minds as to why it isn't there. When doubt is there, people hesitate.
Dr.Paul read the document and approves of it. Judge Napolitano read it and didn't find ONE THING that he would write differently, he felt it was in good legal order. What gives, huh?
Mr. Nystrom will not 'endorse' or give notable attention for the Articles of Freedom on the front page of Daily Paul despite this being crucial and newsworthy for those out there who DO want to take personal responsibility to see to it the Rule of Law is honored throughout our system but may NOT know about it yet.
He states he already allows any of us to promote AoF and that is as far as he will go with this.
Mass media will never cover this because the AoF asserts OUR Rights and interests, NOT corporate interests, NOT the UN's interest, NOT the CFR's interest, but OURs!
It blows me away to hear criticism of the AoF with only 4,300 pledges so far when liberty news outlets don't even give it the time of day.
This prayerful and daunting effort was done on a shoestring budget. Some of the delegates/members of the We The People Foundation have even taken out mortgages to fund the Continental Congress 2009 because they believe in its viability and vision for our country.
I believe in it too and I invite Mr.Nystrom to bethink himself on this.
The question begs to be asked if the WTPF didn't do it, who would?
Now that the WTPF did all the horrendously difficult legal work, and got through extremely difficult group dynamics as is typical and even expected, the least anyone can do is examine the 68 pages for its intentions and give it the appropriate attention that is due in exchange for the effors.
I am not suggesting to discontinue anything else that we are all involved with here on Daily Paul, but the efforts of the Continental Congress 2009 goes way beyond tea parties, elections, money bombs and politics in general - its about each of us asserting our God-given Rights in a peaceful, intelligent, and legal manner.
It deserves ALL the attention it can get.

'Common Sense'.
For me the essence of his book is how imperative it is to have the philosophy of Liberty and Justice esconced within the boundaries of a Republic through its Rule of Law for the first time in thousands of years.

I LOVE Thomas Paine!!! I also advise to BALANCE your time OFF THE COMPUTER and in reading history! I am working on BALANCE myself!
DP has become my 'Avatar' a place where I can plug in and be in a community of mostly like minded people..a place where the beauty of ideas, hearts and passion is preferable to what I see when unplugged!! Also, spend time outdoors and talking to people OFFLINE..take care of yourselves, find balance in this fight.. as it is not an immediate gratification endeavor! We need everyone to stay healthy in mind and spirit and help each other in the ups and downs!
Many of us are very stressed and rightfully so!! Some are going down rabbit holes others have explored years ago! When someone here 'breaks down' please try to be understanding even if that person is not someone you usually agree with! ESPECIALLY if that person is not someone you agree with because that is when it is harder to find empathy and give support ..but that is what we need to strive for. It's easy to fight for those that agree with you but harder and necessary to fight for those that do not!
I feel bad for Jive and no matter if you disagreed and he may have said things that angered some here at times..he really is a person I respect. I've 'lost it' here myself several times and I have also said things I regret. I hope to be better at controlling myself and I hope all here will at least try to do the same.

We sometimes tend to take the short term view.
If something isn't done by Tuesday the world will come to an end, that sort of thing.

We might have very different (even opposing) ideas of how to fight tyranny and reduce the power of government.

Personally, I think the "moneybomb" phenomenon has been worn out. Every week there's a new one, and I've just started to glazeover when I see them now. Not pointing fingers, but like FRN, the more there are the less valuable they become.
The idea has been used up. :-(
For an informed citizenry, individuals must discard the television set in favor of the acquisition of information via either books and/or the internet. An uneducated populous will remain in ignorance and thus continue to suffer the sharp ax of tyranny.

I have limited discretionary money right now. Still paying off massive medical bills.
I want ALL of these liberty candidates to win, but I'm limited to assisting those of the highest profile.
New technique needed.
Perhaps a Featured candidate of the week. So we can learn more about them, then decide. Cover all their stances.
But do it for a whole week.
With articles and statements, and a link to a donation URL.
For a whole week.
It also looks horrible when they are a failure, and someone admonishes us for not "caring".
