Was This a legit C4L phone call?

Someone "from C4L" called me today, selling tickets to the southern leadership conference, which takes place in New Orleans. the number was 703-770-2249. i feel kind of stupid for giving them my credit card without checking it out better first. Could someone please tell me if this was legit? can anyone out there with ties to C4l check this out for me? if they are selling tickets? i would like to believe I've not been had because i would like to go.

Google the phone number
The results do not look encouraging. Most say the number belongs to the NRTW National Right To Work. It got a lot of hits.
According to a recent post here
C4L bought 800 tickets to the SLC, presumably for resale to members. I couldn't find anything about it on their Web site then, though I haven't checked in a couple days. That doesn't mean someone couldn't be pulling a scam.

sorry to bump my own thread,
sorry to bump my own thread, but can anyone help me out?
I received a call on my phone
it stated Connective, I did not and will not give any
money to the C4L or anybody else thru
the telephone.
Check with your credit card company to make
sure your donation went to C4l.
