To me, Russia Today seems aimed directly for the RP crowd. And if I was a producer, and read these forums, all I could say is "Man they are EATING this up!"
I believe I read that it's owned by the Russian government, or owned by some oligarch connected to it.
They seem like fear-mongers to me, regardless if they have RP on for an interview once in a while. I smell manipulation.
For an informed citizenry, individuals must discard the television set in favor of the acquisition of information via either books and/or the internet. An uneducated populous will remain in ignorance and thus continue to suffer the sharp ax of tyranny.

RT is working overtime to foment dissent and to provoke violent revolution. They are not a friend to our cause.

I find it strange that few if any of the anchors and reporters are Russian.
The broadcast is always in English.
The bias towards "our" side of history is just a little too obvious.
Does anyone else see the not so ironic fact of a television station called "Russia Today" that has broadcasts warning the U.S. about it's abandonment of freedom and the Constitution?
Who owns that station? Its facilities? Is it broadcast or cable/satellite only? Is it internet only?
Something there smells funny. I haven't quite figured out what it is, but I don't like it.
Sure, the message sounds great, and we all wish our own media would have some integrity and report from the same perspective as RT. But coming from Russia, I don't trust it.
I seem to recall when I first saw it (Maybe a few years ago)....
I'm not really sure, all of the reporters had Russian accents. Does anyone else recall this?

All those who are deemed to be using anti-American/anti-government speech can be detained.
"Belligerent" speech puts us all in danger -- every American -- not just those who partake in the 9/11 debate.
I saw a comment in the Kucinich/Afghanistan Resolution thread a few minutes ago that could, in the near future, cause that DPer to "disappear". Would we ever know?
