Dear Kathy,

Our battle to Audit the FED has reached a crisis.

Right now, a handful of Fed-loving U.S. Senators, led by Bob Corker (R-TN), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Judd Gregg (R-NH), are reportedly working to rewrite from the Financial Reform Bill to strip out Audit the Fed and actually EXPAND the Fed’s power over banks, lending and money.

I need you to contact your senators today with an urgent message: Audit the Fed and DON'T increase the Fed's power.

As you know, Audit the Fed is currently in H.R. 4173, a financial “reform” package that has passed the House.

The Senate will unveil its version soon, which means you and I have to work fast.

In addition to stripping out transparency and accountability, the Senate version is set to grant the Fed broad NEW powers over our economy by putting the Consumer Financial Protection Agency under the Fed’s purview.

Seriously? The same Fed that won’t tell us where our trillions of dollars went is going to be put in charge of “consumer protection?”

It would be funny if it weren’t so dangerous.

You and I must turn up the heat on the Senate TODAY.

Please contact Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator George Voinovich at once!

Of course, as you know, over two thirds of the House of Representatives, almost a third of the Senate and nearly 80% of the American people support a FULL Audit of the Federal Reserve.

So the establishment has no choice but to attempt to fight us in secret.

That’s why they’re trying every trick in the book to make sure they kill a full-scale Audit of the Fed.

And that’s why it has never been more important that you call Senator Sherrod Brown at 202-224-2315 and Senator George Voinovich at 202-224-3353 and DEMAND that they withdraw their support for ANY effort to strip the bill of the Audit, and oppose all efforts to grant the Fed more power under the guise of so-called “reform.”

It’s clear that passage of this bill would pretty much guarantee that the FED is never audited, allowing the banksters to continue to rob and loot the American people.

And this sounds like something taken directly out of the Ben Bernanke playbook.

You see, Ben Bernanke and his buddies have been claiming the need for Fed “independence” for some time now.

But what they’re really talking about is independence from accountability...

...Independence to keep printing money out of thin air without any oversight from the American people, further destroying our savings and wiping out the middle class.

That’s why it’s vital you take action IMMEDIATELY.

Please call Senator Sherrod Brown at 202-224-2315 and Senator George Voinovich at 202-224-3353 and demand that they stand with the nearly 80% of Americans who support a FULL audit of the Federal Reserve.

You and I are now very close to allowing the American people to have the first ever COMPLETE audit of the Federal Reserve, and without your efforts, Ben Bernanke and his cronies would have nothing to worry about.

But I’m afraid if you and I don’t act right away, all of our efforts up until now will be rendered useless.

And that’s something I’m not going to sit idly by and allow to happen.

If we’re going to stop this attempt to gut Audit the Fed, we must act before it’s too late.

So please, right now, call Senator Sherrod Brown at 202-224-2315 and Senator George Voinovich at 202-224-3353 and demand that they support a FULL audit of the Fed and OPPOSE all attempts to broaden the Fed’s power.

And if you can, please make your most generous contribution to help Campaign for Liberty alert millions of Americans to this battle.

But most importantly, please contact Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator George Voinovich TODAY.

Sincerely,
John Tate
President

P.S. Fed-loving Senators are working behind closed doors to strip Audit the Fed out of the Financial Reform Bill while granting the Fed even more power.

That’s why it’s vital you IMMEDIATELY call Senator Sherrod Brown at 202-224-2315 and Senator George Voinovich at 202-224-3353 and demand they stand with the nearly 80% of Americans who support a FULL audit of the Federal Reserve.

Boxer/Feinstein

Left an email on both. Boxer's VM box is full.

I emailed Boxer and Feinstein, Boxer cosponsored S 604

Here is what I wrote to Feinstein:

Dear Senator Feinstein,

I wrote to you previously asking you to support S 604 to audit the federal reserve, as I expect many others of your constituents did as well. Meanwhile, HR 1207, the companion to S 604 was incorporated into the financial reform bill in the House. At the time it was in committee an attempt was made to substitute a different 'audit' provision which would have actually restricted audits of the federal reserve more than they are restricted now, instead of opening up its dealings with foreign central banks, etc.

I understand that Senator Dodd, et al. are trying now to replace the audit provision in the Senate proposal again with the same language rejected in Committee in the House.

I am asking you to fight this attempt and to support the original language of S 604 in the bill, and in fact to try to get it passed as a stand alone bill.

It is outrageous that the Federal Reserve is not entirely transparent to the people's representatives in Congress, who are the ones to whom the Constitution gives power over monetary policy.

Thank you for your attention.

great letter

I borrowed it and customized it for expediency, thanks!

Called Richard Shelby

Senator Shelby is my senator. I called his office today and first asked if he supported a full audit of the Federal Reserve. The lady on the phone told me that he did. I then asked her about his attempt to strip it from the financial reform package making its way through the senate. She told me that what I heard was incorrect information that had been leaked, and that he supports an audit. So, I'm going to also call his local offices and see if I get the same answer. I also plan to make my questions more specific, i.e. monetary policy, expanding fed powers, etc. I'll post again once I have spoke with them.

I will contact Boxer and Feinstein's offices. Feinstein's will

blow it off, but Boxer might actually do something, she is vulnerable and did cosponsor S 604 after constituents demanded it.

Sit on your hands after...

LIBERTY OR DEATH!!!

I just called

both my Senators, Bob Casey and freakin Arlen Spector. I don't know if it will do any good as they never do anything I want them to do. Isn't their job to listen to the will of the people? Grrrr

Here's my letter

Senator ______,

I'm going to keep this message short and to the point. I do not support the measure by Bob Corker, Richard Shelby, Chris Dodd and Judd Gregg to strip the Audit of the Federal Reserve language from the Financial Reform Package.

The Federal Reserve, which is a privately held bank, is fully and undoubtedly responsible for the financial bubbles that have plagued our nation since the Great Depression. Raising and lowering of the interest rate as well as the manipulation that is perpetuated in the Gold and Silver markets only validates the concerns of most every American -- that the Federal Reserve needs to be reined in!

Congressman Ron Paul recently alleged that the Federal Reserve helped funnel billions of dollars to Saddam Hussein as well as members the Watergate scandal. The FED's refusal to allow congressional inquiry or public insight is absolutely horrific and terribly un-American.

Senator, I do not support striping the Audit of the Federal Reserve measure from the Financial Reform package. Please do not support any initiative that does so. Doing so will only demonstrate your collusion with Wall Street and your disillusionment from Main Street.

Sincerely,

Adam

Thanks Adam

I used your letter as well to email my UT senators.

Adam, thanks

for sharing your letter. I used it to send to my Nebraska Senators.

I called my senators this morning.

Senator Ron Wyden is a co-sponsor of S 604, and Senator Jeff Merkley says he is for an audit of the FED, but wouldn't sign on as a co-sponsor, instead he submitted a bill that was too watered down to do any good.

Check, but..

does the HR not get converted over to a senate bill when in the senate? like H.R. 1207 and S.604?

The two Wicked witches of the West are a lost cause on this topic. They have been bought and sold a long time ago.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Boxer cosponsored S 604 -- the progressives are for it

AGITATE on this....She might take a stand. She is vulnerable. Despite Feinstein being a lost cause, don't ignore her, either.

John Kyl no use

The guys a prick. He sent me a letter already explaining how he supports fed secrecy and is against the S604.

I've called over half a dozen times urging him, and I know the AZ C4L rallied outside his office at least once.

The guy's bought and paid for...he could care less, but still call...maybe...just maybe...

p.s. McCain already co-sponsored it SURPRISINGLY!

JON KYL - 202-224-4521

Just called....

Senator Bennett & Udall of Colorado too leave message that Bill S604 should remain untouch with full Audit the Federal Reserve. Do not give any more powers to the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve needs to be accountable for all of the taxpayers money spent.

Hey Beaready

you should post that Voinovich has decided not to go up for reelection so people on here don't call and threaten that they will vote him out of office, so we can seem like we at least know what is going on when we call these senators. There will be nothing worse than if we call Voinovich and tell him we will vote against him depending on which way he goes on this. Just some helpful info for you. Keep up the great work!!!!

Thanks Tog. Everyone is to be calling their own senators so think I'll maybe edit something more with that. Yes, ole George retiring thank goodness! I usually ask them what his legacy will be once he's gone, etc.
