How do you run for the house
Submitted by docpearce on Thu, 03/11/2010 - 11:38
I spent about an hour this morning looking for paperwork on how to run for the house of representatives in wisconsin.
I worked on google, looked at the state government website, etc... I couldn't find anything.
Does anyone know where I find this info? How many signatures do I need? What paperwork do i need to fill out? etc
Thanks

First you would file for the position at your County Clerk's
office. The County Clerk should have all the information you need. If it is past the date you can file and be on the ballot---you will have to run a write-in campaign.
If you run a write in campaign
you will need to circulate stickers with the exact same name you file with..There can be NO changes in the name on the ballet vote ..This is important, for running as a write-in..You will need people at the polling place who serve as witnesses, so you don't get ripped off..You cannot campaign within a specified distance at tthe poll on voting day..
You start by filing a signature petition in your district
Ask at the local courthouse when you pick up your petition signature form..Get a campaign manager & lots of money..
GOOD luck, if you have my interests at heart.
