Tasered to Death in America

0 votes

American citizens are being routinely tasered to death by state enforcement officers all the while claiming "tasers are a non-lethal alternative."

Search "tasered to death" and click the "news" button and you will see that martial law is already here. Officers of the state are killing Americans for any perceived infraction of the law. And the killers are being cleared of any wrong doing, not surprisingly by the very people they report to. Yet hundreds of thousands are being paid in civil fines to the families of the murdered Americans.

imagine yor child getting killed by a taser hundreds dead then they cook the books & say oh the taser did not kill he had alchohol or drugs in his system how in the hell do they get away with this if they would not of been tasered they would be alive substance abuse heart problems are treatable theres been several deaths in my area detroit & toledo ohio some were handcuffed laughing like it was fun on video my cousin is security @the hospital he says when the cops bring in someone for drunkdriving if they dont allow the doctor to draw blood they will taser you even before you resist if you dont obey commands,if kills people with drugs & alchohol they the ones prone to be tasered so if they no it might kill them they should be liable

Taserer's are inhumane.

I agree with the reasoning offered by fiodax little further down.

I was threatened with a taser recently and I am still waiting for an explanation. I don't think they even care to have a reason they just wanna play with their toy's and have FUN :(

up!

The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!

Think about how perverse our society has become ...

if you tasered your pet you would be jailed. Taser a U.S. sovereign citizen and get a nifty certificate of accomplishment and a promotion.

tasers kill almost killed me still affects me to this day

in 2005 i was at a bar was involved in a scuffle a officer was in site in my mind i thought o shit im going to jail but instead i was almost killed i approached officer with kindness respect put hands together to get handcuffed he kept giving different orders to have a reason to tase me i was no threat then he said get on the ground it was puddles wet snow mud crap i asked him here is my hands you can handcuff me he then tased me as soon as i looked at my friends he blind sided me the taser stuned me so hard my natural instict to pull them out and i did so immedeatly i no i have a loon cop so i drop to the ground but my hands behind my back he then blind sided my again stuned me in stun mode without the strings about a total of 19 times this time i thought he was choking me it felt like 5 minutes after a girl screaming in his face finally got him off me then handcuffed me was on my feet told him that was not right what you did he then slammed me across his car and ground rocks stuck all in my skin tased in the face burns 3 in face several behind the neck thats were he tased me the most i looked up taser international there policy says no tasing in neck area because it will crush your tracea and thats why i was choking the my experience with taser was the strings were very incopacitating felt like getting electricuted in a weird way i pulled strings out the stun mode i only felt being choked i have the video to prove this within 9 seconds i was tased simple pleaded to be handcuffed i talked to friends that know these officers and said they look for any excuse to play with there new toys the reason he tased me so many times was he wanted me to shake he didnt even no that the stun mode does not make you shake on the ground on the video he kept looking at the taser like is this thing working i was just trying to fight the choking off i was a nightmare then other officers when he slammed me with handcuffed on asked do you want me to hit him again i promise you i would not have survived another blast just because i told him he was wrong then charged me with resisting abstructing a police officer i did not do anything but plead with him to handcuff me then my lawyer asked the first proscuter they wanted prison time because the police report said i was this big bad vicious wolf acting crazy told them i said fuck off in the rest the bs i was floored after hearing all this b.s so i said get the video to my lawyer he said it might not be a good idea to piss them off anymore i said get the video he didnt beleive me so he called me said he had it in his office he was floored it did not so anything but me getting my ass kicked by a crazy steriod raged cop,a they said for some reason the sound did not work on the video yea right they protect there asses so good because he would be repramanded for not following the taser ruled he never warned me i would be tased he just blasted me so then we went to main prosecuter showed video i plead to disorderly conduct $125.00 fines and cost todays law enforcement has seroius flaws taseres are the last thing to give them to abuse on people, cops have mics on there shoulder if they need help they will call the mob squad, fast in a hurry, which they do anyway and then they still tase people anyway, the only reason they tase you is to torture you because there thin skinned pissed off, they brake the law to often but have the power to cover it up.and then later in jail jail i was feeling a weird like i never felt before like i was fading in & out & i have had many adrenaline serotonin pituitary gland after that day has been severly low not working my life has changed i would like to talk to prove my case to some one but im very weak & tired & miserable & people think cops should have these things they use these first chance they get not last resort but the sheep still asleep think {why would police officers do anything wrong if your not doing nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about} a cop can taser you for not answering questions or any none command thats unconstitutional.

I say get rid of tasers.

I say get rid of tasers. Cops should only carry deadly force. This way they will have to truly exhaust all other options before resorting to physical violence. The taser just enables a cop to skip the whole "talking and reasoning" phase of a confrontation and skip right to physical violence. If their only option is to kill you, they would be much more careful and deliberate IMHO.

Imagine if Barney Fife had a taser instead of a gun and a bullet.

And BTW, I think all people, cop and citizen alike, should only carry around deadly force, for the same purposes and and for the same reasons.

How about we arm our citizens: Holstered, Concealed, and

Samurai Swords and get rid of the police force entirely.

Eliminate all laws and Prisons -- Let people protect themselves.

It'd take awhile but eventually the private sector would work things out.

No I don't think that would

No I don't think that would work, people should protect themselves, however most of us need to spend our time plying our trade. I think the Sheriff model of law enforcement is a good one. He's responsive to the people because he's elected, and he's a part of the local community so he knows how the law needs to be enforced where he lives. Andy Griffith is the law enforcement model I like. By getting to know the people that live in the community you can know who are the trouble makers and deal with them (like Otis), and then to basically be a mediator of conflict when it arises between members of your community. Most of your other threats are easy to spot because they are the variations to the normal patterns of your community.

It's good to have a sentry that can spend his time watching for these anomalies and have him equipped and charged with taking action on them. This way the rest of us can have time to run barber shops and hardware stores.

The best way to be secure is to know. When you don't know the people you are protecting you have to resort to law enforcement by a standardized worst case scenario, meaning that you have to assume and treat as if each person poses the same threat when they don't. Standardized policing has to assume that there are no relationships.

Law enforcement does not serve the same function as an army. Law enforcement is more like a priesthood. But since both a soldier and a cop have a gun we have confused the function and allowed our cops to run around like a military force, and that is not their role.

lol

I was about to say right on! Octobox. Yes we all should be able to be armed at all times. Then maybe the useless POS cops would show the people some respect. But really what needs to be done is fire 90% of the police(because they are nothing but useless tax-feeders) and let the last 10% do the only job they're needed for: To apprehend an individual that has infringed upon another indiviuals life liberty or property.

For you I was being serious -- smile

I'm in a very agreeable mood today.

Doh, I hate it when I miss the sarcasm...oh well it was a good opportunity to elaborate anyway!

I don't think cops should

I don't think cops should necessarily stop carrying tasers, but I think a little more discretion should be used before the taser comes out. There are instances where people get tasered for just arguing with cops, and that is wrong. I think if someone is physically resisting arrest, throwing punches/kicking, etc. than a taser might be an acceptable choice for the police officer. I think I'd rather get tasered than have some cop beat me with his billy club.

So if the citizen is being physically disruptive/violent and not just verbally disruptive, than why should tasering the violent civilian not be an option?

Yesterday's

local paper reported a death of a person after being tazed...and today's paper reports a local guy, under the influence, egging on police officers to taze him--they finally did...he survived!

Outlaw the blasted things!

There has only been one Tazer death in the history

of the city I live in (200K population North Bay city).

There has only been 5 cop on civilian shooting-deaths in the last 10 years (where I live).

We only have one gang on gang murder per year, yet we have regular drug trade.

Most murder is domestic (where I live) and it's around 14 or so per year.

There are 16,000 murders in the U.S per year.
----9,000 are domestic
----6,840 are gang related
----160 are cop shootings
------>149 are justifiable (return fire - witnesses)
------>11 are questionable
------>8 the officer is at fault

Tazer Facts: "Amnesty International's latest report on Tasers, titled, "USA: Less Than Lethal?" links 334 deaths to Taser use between the years 2001 and 2008"

That's 47 per year -- Out of 300,000,000 people and 900,000 cops.

Go Here for a Taser-Risk study: http://www.ydr.com/ci_11756300

3,000 people die of the flu every month
----I'd worry more about the AMA and yor Doctor

Civilians commit 2,500,000 robberies per year
Civialians commit 1,500,000 assaults per year
Civialians commit

I'm 100% against Tazers but not for the same reason

I'm against the Lobbying and non-competitive lock-down they have on non-lethal weapon advancement -- I've talked about this elsewhere.

Tazers should be outlawed for the same

reason we don't torture enemy combatants. Torture is not ok in any context. The reason there are deaths after tazering is because tortured people have heart attacks, sometimes even young people.

The number of victims who die is irrelevant. The number of torture victims is enormous and growing, as is tyranny in this country. Tyrants rule solely by fear and love weapons of torture for that reason.

Reedr: If you focus on the "victim" side of things

you'll get bigger gov't.

If you focus on the fact that the Tazer Industry is a strong lobbying body and is heavily subsidized then you are making the free-market argument.

I can't stand the Tazer industry because they block innovation.

My thought is we'd have abandoned the Tazer 10 years or more ago.

"preexisting heart conditions"

When someone dies after being tazerd the typical ME report will not identify the Tazer as the cause of death. It may say "heart failure" or any other number of medical terms that will muddy the waters.

That's how they cook the books. There is no real way to count the true number of deaths inflicted. If the ME claims that the cause of death was the tazer they would open the state to civil suits. While it has happened it is not common for the ME's report to lay blame on the police, particularly in the case of tazers.

As most who work for the state already know: People don't die from tazers they die because of "preexisting heart conditions"

If there is no way to calculate it then we shouldn't even be

speculating -- I can agree to that.
